I've replayed all the AC original trilogy, it's just too good. Ezio is by far the best character in the games, he is the best acknowledging that his memories are just a message to the future. The moments when he "talks" with Desmond are just too good

Desmond is an Assassin born into the creed, he has all of the abillities of Ezio, Altair, and Connor, AND you get to see him die, saving the world.

The jump in graphics specially for characters and face animations from AC2 to ACB was crazy considering it was the same engine and only one year apart, Cristina's memories/flashbacks in ACB always made me want an AC2 re-release with ACB's improvements. Thanks to that is that these scenes still look good to this day, AC2 unfortunately aged worse.
At least AC2’s story and overall gameplay manages to keep it fun and enjoyable. The lack of visible aging was also weird despite AC2 taking place over the course of ~25 years. The only measurable method of telling how many years has passed was Ezio’s voice getting deeper

I remember reading that a cave extremely close to those coordinates was a place where one of Napoleon's brother's hid from actual assassins after his brother's death or something like that. I was certain AC3 was gonna be in the 1800s.

+Daniel Hayley He might have, but ultimately he realised the message wasn't for them. Hard to say if he realised the message was for Desmond but this may be the case.
I think he kinda did. Hermes is the messenger god and is also attributed to directions. I think what hes not realizing is that the coordinates lead to the americas and by this time in history they havent been discovered yet and only ezio and the other assasin leaders know of the new world thanks to altairs codex
