My first long-haul MAS experience was some 20-odd years ago, KL-London Heathrow. Was an undergraduate student then. Those were the heyday of MAS hospitality and quality; I can still remember the amazing cutlery, food and snacks. Brought on an extra 10KG of excess baggage without surcharge. The flight attendants were amazing. Asked for a souvenir from one and she gave a miniature 747. When all were asleep i asked for extra ice cream and she gave us without question.
I guess those days are gone for good. No way we can experience that kind of hospitality ever again. Not in this economic climate.
Appreciate that MAS tries to capture at least the essence of that hospitality and make a comeback. Will support you guys from now on. I will quit flying Emirates.

That irony - MAS creates better commercial than its own inflight safety video. Imagine if safety video had our cabin crews donned in kebaya in such poise and grace; unlike the musical safety video.
Agree this should have been their safety video concept instead. However, I fear if it will coincidently look similar to SQ's safety video in terms of concept and invite the wrath of SQ fanboys who will take to opportunity to bash MH at every corner.
@akifiskandar4186 I don't think so because another airlines also use the same concept in their safety video - PAL, SIA, Garuda, AirNZ, Qantas
I thought the same too. That musical-ish 123 safety video thingy was full of crap and it look so messy! This kinda concept would look great for safety video, featuring our local landmarks or scenic spots.. 🎉🎉

As a former staff during the glory days in the 90s, I just hope MAS will be again one of the helms in the sky. Still feels warmth whenever flying MAS.

In the latest Skytrax rating, Malaysia Airlines was not even listed in the top 20 best airlines in the world. The top was Qatar Airways & in second place is Singapore Airlines while Air Asia is the still the world’s best low cost airline. What is happening to Malaysia Airlines where at one time we were tops as a 5 star airline & very consistently won the world’s best cabin crew several times.
Malaysia Airlines carries the country’s name & if it’s not projected well, our Malaysian Hospitality name will be tarnished.
Time for Malaysia Airlines to up its service, standards to be on par or better than the world’s best.

I had to come find this--apparently one of the pipers for the Sri Damesh Pipe Band arranged this tune for bagpipes and they played it at the introduction of the new 737-8. I like the song, and the bagpipe version is beautiful.
To those who are suggesting this should be Malaysia Airlines safety video, don’t understand this ad’s tone… and clearly have never been to a wake.
This is Malaysia Airlines remembrance of those who’ve gone too soon. The tune on the piano, the lyrics are all about how wherever or whatever happens they’ll never forget. It’s also to honour those who’ve been lost in the line of duty.
I wish MAS will be getting better, as good as it used to be.

Unfortunately our experience with Malaysia Airlines is not what is shown in this video. For 3 months we have been trying to reach out to Malaysia Airlines to get a refund processed for a cancellation. We got a receipt indicating that the refund will be processed fully, but have not yet received the refund fully. There has been no ownership from anyone at Malaysia Airlines to resolve this issue for us. Hoping that someone will see this comment and contact us for assistance.

I am a Australian who had a up and down trip with Malaysian air my son was 10 months and my daughter was 3 years old so I booked 1 bassinet seat and 2 more normal tickets few months before my trip. When I asked for the seat arrangement they said they aren’t available to do that and we will not put in different locations don’t worry and that’s exactly what happened while the bassinet seat is in front my 3 years older had to sit in middle seat In the middle of the cabin and the other seat is in next cabin when I asked about it from the cabin staff they were been super rude to me and blamed the person who booked the ticket and luckily one passenger been nice to us and gave his seat for my husband to sit next to my 3 year old it was the worst air travel I had. so be careful i never traveled air Malaysia after that but I looked in to it after that they are not available to do seat booking some times but there are people who get to do that if you know how they do that please let me know. My advice is is avoid this airline as much as possible.
Worst customer service ever. I requested for a refund for my airline’s ticket, its been months now and I still haven’t received my money. They keep telling you will receive now but its been more than 3 months now and I did not get any.

I avoid to use MH after bad experience with costumer service this year. It’s just a good campaign too bad.
My flight was cancelled and moved to other time. Can’t move my ticket to year 2023. I didn’t see any MH hospitality in my case.# MHshit.

Thinking of mh370. The government and company refused to be responsible and transparent after the Tragedy. Many analysis on evidences including debris point out that most likely the pilot had suicidal thoughts and intentionally killed all the passengers and other flight attendants. Finally released the landing gears to make the airplane sink faster.
No one should fly Malaysia airline after the disappearance of MH370 flight and the fact that the airline and the Malaysian government did not provide any answers and hid all information from the families of the passengers, who are still looking for answers and are grieving. SHAME ON YOU

@@robloxlovera6362 I agree but what is different is that other planes crashed and were FOUND while the Malaysian airline plane and all 200 passengers just disappeared with no signs. Also the way the airline handled the whole matter brought suspicions on whether it was more than a crash and whether they knew more than they told the families. Do you really believe that an airline and its satellites cannot track a plane and none of the neighboring countries did!!!!
