I remember when I arrived at Elmendorf AFB, AK (now JBER) in 1976- they were happy that in my AFSC (Disbursement Accounting Specialist- Military Pay) that they had a new toy- Computers (lol) and had microfiche which listed banks/credit unions 😂
Well this is an interesting video. My son is in finance .A financial advisor. He just turned 29. He has his pilots lic. His name is in for a rated slot for the board mid April. Excellent scores and a good meps. Yet it seems that getting a slot is like winning the lottery...extremely difficult.
Interested in becoming a finance officer, wondering if it’s possible to get in touch with current finance officers to learn more about their unique story and role!
Great video. Have you guys considered making a video about the cost analysis officer position? I would like to learn more about it, From what I read, it seems interesting.
that's a super small career field. we'd like to eventually get to all officer AFSCs, but i don't expect that one to happen anytime soon. if you have specific questions, i may be able to find someone with the answers.
Thank you, do you have any POC’s I could ask some questions on the best path from Enlisted to Commissioning? I am prior service with 6 years in the Army, thinking of switching to Active Duty Air Force and would like to take the Officer route someday
we interviewed one, but it was about Talent Marketplace instead of his career field: ruclips.net/video/atJBI1O4Zho/видео.html you can read up on what they do starting on page 68 here: www.milvet.state.pa.us/DMVA/Docs_PNG/hro/AFOCD.pdf
definitely interested in becoming a finance officer, what would be a great resource to learn more about the position and to talk to those that have experience on the job?
What are the demands for 63A, 64P and 65F? Currently enlisted with a degree in Finance and wanting to know what the acceptance rate is for those career fields ?

very low because they’re extremely small. if that’s what you want to do, you best bet is to go through USAFA or AFROTC.
@@airforceofficerpodcast Actually 63A is a fairly big career field as it has dozens of general officers and ton of CGOs.
dozens of GOs are 63A? 🧐
how many aimen do finance officers usually lead like a ball park number

Would you consider doing 31P or 13M? You have done all the jobs I have interest in except those two. It would be greatly appreciated.
