So happy I found this show last year. I’ve been a die hard Tigers fan since I was a child. Was at game 4 of the 2012 ALCS when we clinched the World Series and when we started to suck, I lost interest. So glad I found this page as I got older and got back into being a fan. Shoutout Scotty.

Scott I was so depressed after the grand slam but the tenacity, mental fortitude speaks of the Tigers 🐅 toughness, with this mentality of not quitting I hope we will prevail into the playoffs, I am so enjoying the Tigers

Strike zone was very dynamic to put it politely
There were pitches that were literally 8 inches off the plate that were called strikes. Angel Hernandez thought that was a wonky strike zone.
That Javi Baiez DL move looks REALLY good at this point.
Jake Rogers doesn't get enough credit. He is not hitting well. But look at how well he manages the pitchers. Behind every great pitching performance is a competent, good catcher.

Bally sports has improved so much.Especially with addition of Alex Avila..The Gold standard is Jason and Alex..They are in tune and give the right amount of info with legit emotion not the over the top crap ...A true treat to watch..

Scotty, you're the best man. I've been a Tigers fan since the 1950s and I'm a native New Yorker. So I absolutely hate the Yankees for the years of torment they gave my team. W. POerez is a dawg. He battles and battles and gives a feeling of confidence. Getting the wilod card is not going to be easy but this team has shown a fight and growing pains that will carry over into 2025. Best game of the year, in my opinion. In an important game they played like one of those young teams that you dream about - down by four twice.....unphased. No matter what happens from here on out, Detroit: We have a team. I had the same thought - it was like a movie. KC had to walk out of that park thinking, "Okay - how did we just lose that game?"

I was wondering when one of our sports teams will have a season where we caught 18 from behind out of nowhere to catch a playoff spot.. LIONS almost did it a couple of seasons ago..

It wasn’t long ago, 2022, when we watched the Lions start out 1-7, and barely missed the post season. This is what we are seeing with these 2024 Tigers. Yes, I don’t believe they will make the postseason, but it speaks volumes to the future.
Speaking of the future, i have been considering the future of one Javier Baez. An expensive contract to a man who probably can’t perform to the level of a major leaguer. A contract to large to eat, but you don’t want the player on the field. My suggestion: offer to either make him a coach, or front office personnel. Even sweeten the deal by adding years to the contract in exchange for him not being on the field as player. This turns a massive negative into a positive.
This team is going to fight until the end....so proud of them they won't quit just give it their best and let the chips fall where they may...
The Tigers are 2 1/2 games out of the wildcard. Tigers likely have to go 9-2 the rest of the way to have a shot at the wild card. It's not impossible.
It's very possible if the Twins keep collapsing they could even back their way into the playoffs which I wouldn't recommend I want them to keep winning

I feel like the fans in the movie Major League that sit alone in the stands banging their drum cursing at the team to start the season to eventually being surrounded by other fans cheering the team on. It’s like we’ve come full circle considering there were high hopes before the season then we looked good to start, became awful, seemed like we were giving up, now a September playoff run. 😳

That wasn’t Cora’s fault. He wasn’t sending Tork. Their signals are the wheel to send, and if not then don’t go when there’s multiple people on base. And the point is to show where the ball is, not to tell a player to go back to a base.
I watch most every inning of every game. When Witt hit the Grand Slam, I shut the game off in disgust. Very rare for me to do....and a BIG mistake!

I'm actually getting a little tired of people talking about Keith and Vierling and Meadows, et al. pulling the ball more. What has made them dangerous hitters is their ability - and willingness - to drive the ball to the opposite field.
Especially with Keith and Meadows, it's what has keyed their resurrections at the plate. They've accepted that you don't need to pull the ball to DRIVE the ball. And it's closed holes in their swings, which leads to pitchers coming in to them more. Meadows' huge grand slam in San Diego, Vierling go ahead single last night are just two big examples.
Wenceel Perez will only take the next step when he learns this lesson.
I will say I'm not a Hanifee fan. For all the praise he gets I see major flaws. He's kinda like Madea I'm just waiting for the shoe to fall off.

Thank God Avila blew up the overpaid, aging, and losing 2017 Tigers. Avila started his outstanding rebuild buy drafting Skubal, Meadows, and Mize in 2018. Tigers fans and Harris owe Avila everything..

Sweeney is an above average defender and Olson is a legitimate middle of the pack starter. McKinstry is a utility player.
