  • Greg Kasavin gives a detailed report on what you can expect from this stealth game for the Xbox.
"Splinter Cell is a great game on its own merits, and it offers a slick and rewardingly suspenseful gameplay experience that's sometimes reduced to frustrating bouts of trial and error."

Is it just me or does old skol GAMESPOT reviews stand out for being pure gamer type reviews, here for instance talked about music quieting down as your coming out of danger as a critique, IGN literally is so bought and paid for i wish these kinda reviews happend now. Oh wait Bioshock 3 was the best game ever by IGN sorry, yeh IGN the best

Is this recorded on a 360 playing the old game, or off a real, original first Xbox?

This was a review during the game's release, which means the 360 wasn't out yet.

Pretty sure the PS2 version had shit ton of extras.

Alec McInnis 4 exclusive missions and some behind the scenes stuff. PS2 versions of so many games had exclusive stuff like RE4.

Bob Ross - which was B.S since RE4 was supposed to be GC exclusive. CAPCOM could have at least gave us a special edition for GC, but the Wii edition is basically that

Blaine Alexander good thing that the Wii version is the definitive one: GameCube graphics + PS2 extras

It didn't, really. I know this is six years late, but the only two major additions that the PS2 adds is the Nuclear Power Plant mission that is only exclusive to that version and newly made FMV cutscenes. I think there were some behind the scene videos added as well featuring Michael Ironside. However, the PS2 also cut some content. Some missions are redesigned or in the case of the CIA mission - a whole chunk of the first part is removed (Fisher infiltrating the CIA compound itself). The Windows/Mac and XBOX versions include three downloadable missions which tie up some loose threads in the plot, and in my opinion I'd rather have that and the better shadows and effects those versions bring.
