had my first few flights the weekend (first time drone flier with dji) and boy i was amazed by its performance, decent wind and it was so stable. didn't go further flight coz i haven't activated my dji care yet but now that i do i bet i will be testing mine further away without hesitation. thanks for the vid.
I have the Mini 4k as well and for some reason I lose connection to my drone and remote after flying a bit away but nearly as far as you take yours. I live in a city area lots of houses and buildings
I had the same problem for a while but it went away. It was quite scary! Just remember that the RTH button on the controller will still work without being connected to your phone.
I don't know why they have such a huge range. Less than one mile is legit, not 6 miles. Too much risk of property damage, losing the drone, hurting some one. At least do this over open fields. This is the kinda thing that makes the FAA put all these rules into place.
I was able to get 3.1 miles out of mines, tons of trees in my area as well. I was impressed, wanted to go further but was running out of battery 😢
And to think that some of the newer ones have a range of like 20 miles (clear line of sight).

Just remember that if you get lost, hit that Return to Home button!

Must be a different model. Even with a bunch of trees, I can still fly almost a mile! (1,609 meters)

Six miles of range is only possible if you were on like a mountain top clear line of sight.
