Fid you get the engine nice and hot so it will drain all the coolant out the engine instead of just drop the radiator coolant. I have made that mistake before.

Viscosity of water doesn't change due to temp unless it drops below 0°c. It will come out no better and you'll just risk burning yourself. It's water and coolant, not oil.
