    Where would we be without Haynes manuals? Fantastic resource, professionally done.

    Good job you said close the bonnet @3:30 as I was wondering why I couldnt see anything whilst driving around! - Jokes aside, very helpful! Thanks

    Thank-you. It was well worth watching this before doing the job, even if "remove air filter box" was not quite as simple as it looked in the video. The remarkable thing is that it was much easier to put it all back together.

    I suppose someone could have made this a bit more difficult...
    But excellent video as without this process would be impossible.

    Great video. Will need to do this tomorrow 😢 do i need to use the petroleum jelly? (Vaselin?)

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  Год назад

      Yes, a layer of petroleum jelly over the terminals and clamps will help prevent corrosion.

    you also need to reset BMS after the battery change!

    Nice! Video did not inform about if and how BMS is reset. Is resetting needed?

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  3 года назад

      If the same specification of battery is fitted, the BMS shouldn't need resetting.

    Nice and clear, but I was not able to push the air hose fully home into the recess on the box once done. It is very stiff and there are two clips to depress, one on the side, one on the bottom. It's impossible to get leverage and pull the hose fully onto the box so that it clicks. It's in by about an inch and a half but still not ideal. I even took the washer fluid filler off to give me more space.... no better!

      I had what I thought was the same issue, but once I calmed the red mist down I realised that actually it seems you have one that seats in the visible opening and one sits against the box opening. If you look at the internal ridges it then made sense that it wouldn't push in further. At least that's my final assessment and I hope to never have to fiddle around with that again while I have the car. Haha

      I got it solved with a little (big) help from someone. He took out this "rubber" hose from that goes into the radiator I guess. Then you could get it on the box.. Then this whole thing back into place, also not easy, but easier then the other method

    What type of socket do I need to remove the cable around 37 seconds in? I cannot get a spanner in whilst the battery is still in place. I believe it is a pass thru socket, is this right?

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  3 года назад +1

      A deep socket - have a look at 2'56"

      @@HaynesManuals Hi, thanks for that I've got that sorted. However my bracket to hold the battery in place has no screw holding it in place though surprisingly the bracket is still there. Can you tell me what screw is required, size and thread etc? Thanks

    At 1:13 it says remove the smaller clip, but my galaxy only has one. It is not separating so wondered if there is a way to split this please.

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  3 года назад +1

      If your vehicle only has the large connector, there's no need to separate it.

    My air filter doesn't look like that at all! Nore has it got a battery like that!

    • @brumm3653
      @brumm3653 Год назад

      Mine looked different as well. And it would not come loose… instead, I opened the filter box, removed the filter so it won't get dirty, and I was able to remove the battery with the air filter's bottom casing still in its place.
