I legit love Ukrainian version of Richter and Skif. Probably best two characters in the game. They have very interesting friendship formed between them and I kinda wish we had more of their interactions so far
I generally prefer the Ukrainian sound, all the voices sound kinder, I'd say. Especially Skif's voice, he sounds soft and comfy most of the time yet very serious when he has to be in Ukrainian. And Richter also sounds much happier and more cheerful, which is closer to how his character feels to me
In English Richter says "Had a shitty ride" on a Ferris wheel. In Ukrainian he says "ніфіга його не запустили, але покружляло нас афігенно!" which can be roughly translated "had shit luck in making it run but got some sick spi-i-i-ins!"
As someone that speaks both Ukrainian and English, I feel like English translation is a bit dry, Ukrainian version has a lot more jokes, slang and character.
Playing with Ukrainian sound is wht makes your gaming experience authentic. However, not everyone is comfortable as not everyone speaks Ukrainian language
Couldn't deal with the English voiceovers. Maybe if they all had slavic accents, but running into people with American and British and Aussie accents for the most part just didn't feel right. I ended up setting the voiceovers to Ukrainian and left the subtitles English. Best way to play.
I like the VO of Richter in both versions. The main character Skif, IDK, I dont like the eng version at all : ( Ukrainian has more "colors" in it. it fits the character. Check out the Shram(Scar) character, he is cool
ok Especially Skiff and Richter are best for me in Ukrainian ... but Honestly the Actor who played Scar gone a bit too Crazy :D .. I mean Scar IS crazy but still a bit too much IMO :D
@@nejmovirno А как ты понял, что он говорит? У меня никогда в жизни не возникало проблем с мовой, за исключением закарпатских диалектов, но это не тот случай.
To me the English VA's don't sound natural, both in their delivery and for the setting itself. Ukrainian just makes more sense for them to be speaking for one, but for two if there are any issues with the Ukrainian voices I'm not hearing it unlike with half of the English lines feeling a little off
English version of Richter is definitely more energetic and charismatic and Ukrainian fits the character a bit better to my mind , but I genuinely like both 😁👍The lips synchronised to English though.
I don’t understand the complaints of Western gamers about English voice acting from developers whose native language is not English. Obviously, the Ukrainian voice acting will be a level higher.
Ukrainian voice acting is way more better. For Ukrainian VA, company hired professional voice actors for movies (main complain is that they are too perfect and professional, games sound like movie). English VA is mediocre. It is shame that GSC didn't hire people with slavic accents + add some Ukrainian words into NPCs comments, this would make game atmosphere even better!
I played shadow of chernobyl about a month ago in ukrainian. They didnt translate everything into ukrainian, so one character would speak unrainian and other is russian and it was indeed very authentic and felt familiar to real life. I don't blame stalker 2 to be fully ukrainian, i like it as it is but voice acting is indeed a little bit too professional.
As a native Ukrainian I can say that, to my personal preference, characters sound better on Ukrainian language, because they were voiced very professionally. But it's not perfect and characters sound more like a characters from the movie than real humans. There is no different dialect to it, which is what a real thing in our culture. Like, in the region where I live, people talk surgic dialect. It's a mix between Ukrainian, Russian and Belarus languages. But on the street in the cities people use more russian language, because some part of it is still left in our lives, despite the conflict, but the western part of the country sounds more like native Ukrainians while the rest of it uses basic Ukrainian language. And yes, there is difference between native Ukrainian language and basic one. Like the intonation for example. So yeah, in general I prefer Ukrainian dub, but it's not realistic how the characters sound and talk.

It sucks that this game that otherwise would have been a masterpiece was rushed to release with no true A-life. That combined with a bunch of balance, economy and combat related flaws make me inclined to wait however long it takes for patches and mods to fix this game.

Ukrainian version has more expression. In Ukrainian Richter really sounds like a man who enjoys the moment.
Ukrainian for OG feeling. English for new experience.
For newcomers😁
Sums it up. Welcome back stalker to tourist
If anyone is curious about what song Richter was humming, it's "Ніч яка місячна"

English for first playtrough. Ukrainian forever afterwards.

so what is gamma's original language?
happy you learn Ukranian a bit:)
Gamma and first stalkers were too colony-influenced and had russian language for some degree. Stalker 2 doesn’t.

Skif better in Ukrainian and Richter in English. My opinion ofc
+
Agree, I generally prefer all the voices in Ukrainian but Richters. His Ukrainian dub is a bit strange to me for some reason
It's funny because Richter's voice is the voice of the actor who gave Richter his appearance, so this voice suits him the best.
So Richter is basically Vano? alright cool
Unfortunately the mouth movement s synched only for English
It's weird because they did facial capture, so where has it gone?
@@BillyTubememe the original language of the game is English, that's just an industrial standard
