6’9 seems to be a better secondary lock defender than a main lock. If you get put on an island against the best shot creators I think you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage with low 80s speed and high 80s per d. + silver lock badges. Not that you can’t play good d but probably not ideal all game long. 6’7 is the best perimeter defender but probably a tad too small to be a chase down and weak side shot blocker so I agree 6’8 is the sweet spot if you want to be a true iso ego lock
Isnt Acc just showing impact while dribbling? Maybe put those points in strength and vert. Vert is really helping with aggrressive blocks and chasedowns and strength protects against blowby/ride animations and bully
Let’s be honest, 2K will eventually nerf steals. I feel like either you need to get HOF Glove at 6’7 so that you survive the nerf & can still pluck some, or chalk up the nerf & go 6’9 to be more well rounded. 6’8 has a nice badge spread but it’s the least effective of the 3 as a Lock.
My 6’8 is a 2way PlayShot very versatile on the defense. My 6’9 from a defensive standpoint is the best lock 93 interior 88 or 86 not sure peri good steal good block all my locks around 80ish but I think my 6’9 has gold reb and my 6’8 has silver

ngl all i did this year was recreate the 2 way facilitating finisher build you did from last year. for me its called faceup playmaker but i got hof glove and i can do about anything competently
I made a 6’8 rebirth last week and I did it like this except I went with 88 block and 87 off reb 86 pass… 80 speed 80 acceleration! But I got zero dunk and 87 layup 85 3pt to make it my ole head build lol! My next Build is gonna be a 99 dunk Lock to round out my 3 builds for the year!
My 6’7, SF, inside out scoter is a dog in perimeter. Around the rim is mid right now due to still figuring out timing and the game overall. Only regret is not putting anything on playmaking, but not dribbling at all and passes okay if all textbook/right passes being made. Another regret is not putting strength to 75, but I can still dunk with all contacts equipped. Happy gaming to all!
That's easy IF you have 20+ finishing bully core & takeoff/posterizor equip But take off help activate dunk because now 2k be giving us too many layup instead of dunk, that lil space getting to the rim with help you

It’s probably they “Rebirth” once you get to overall 90 and do the Ronnie 2K quests, you can make new builds that you can lvl up to 90 instantly, gives you a lot of badges to start along with the 4+ that you earn for being a starter.
Couple things don't makes sense here on a different 2k test video not by you guys speed is almost irrelevant acceleration is way more important especially for a lock who needs quickness to get Infront of dribblers to activate clamps and for chase down blocks speed is good for running from halfcourt to baseline figured 2k labs would know this just a heads up
@@cristiansemprit9218 it's your quick movement so yes if your standing still and he makes a cut having good acceleration is more important than speed speed is almost irrelevant in this game tbh NBA tutes did an acceleration vs speed and speed is mainly baseline to halfcourt which when do you need that and acceleration is baseline to 3 pt line meaning acceleration is more important along with acceleration perimeter defense is the next thing for your lateral quickness
Love these builds I love playing them. Thing is like everybody saying. I hate making them now cause each year when you invest on a player thats a pure lock once nerfed it sucks. You loose so much.. Hate investing on a build then they just turn into 💩 after nerfs...
My lock gets 30 badges from the rip and I made it where rebound chaser was tier 2. PS dude I can’t tell what tier 3 I wanna core cuz I run bronze clamps, challenger and glove … and silver interceptor from tier 3 cuz I still can’t see one of them going at a faster rate at this point 😔
I went based on what was the easiest to level up too so I did gold glove and with a 95 steal you'll have it in no time anything else I'd still be working on

No it isn't necessary don't listen to anyone who says it is 2k penalized you for going to 99 in categories or having HOF badges because it takes way too much weight on your overall. Stop at 95, get gold steal badges, and spread the rest of those attributes to physical. You can get 5 steals a game with that combo you don't need to penalize yourself and go higher use it for your physicals. I guarantee I'm picking the ball as well as 99 steal and I'm not about to make a build based off projecting what 2k might patch
@@_teezy imo go a few ticks up for gold not sure if it's 94 or 95 but getting Gold is a good stopping point to still be dominant at it but allow yourself to have more wiggle room left over. I was able to max every physical stat by just not trying to 99 everything but my perimeter D, steals, D rebs is all at 95, interior D and blocking is 85, while being faster than most guards.

Can anyone tell me which badges are best for helping you stay in front of opponents when you're defending. Sometimes seems like my player won't even move because the opponent triggered some animations... My only build is 6'7 sf not quite as good as this one..

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying preimeter D is worthless, but if I could go from 86 to 99 dunk, 78-90 pass at the cost of 92 vs 78 preimeter D.

2k is notorious for making build really good @ the beginning so everyone can make them. Than after a short while they will nurf them so people feel they have to make a newer build. You get +4 and any time you hit lvl 39 you get +1 more so really any player who's really playing should be targeting 26-28 to ensure you're rounded out a decent amount

Anyone else notice if you happen to turnover the ball it always takes double vc away? Why are they giving me two turnover calls for one turnover??? Games broken and could be fun but when the shot meter is broken consistantly and they are taxing for turnovers taking away vc i earned and then some for no reason....how can i afford to upgrade my build...this is a swindlers game right now the greed and corruption go deep in take 2 down to gta also this is getting ridiculous I have a 93 3 point rating now im not expecting to hit every single shot but why is the shot meter lying when i have filled my meter up and timed exactly right...this game is made by CROOOOKSSSS
Perimeter Lockdown more or less, and the high attributes and athleticism will make up for low strength. I also went for good finishing so I had to sacrifice something. I don't see it being an issue though.
@@spillboy I dropped the speed to an 80, do you think that'll be good enough to handle myself on the perimeter? I made more of a iso lockdown type of build so I don't have a lot of spare attributes.
I'll stick with my 6'8 3 level scorer. Has 91 driving dunk and 80 three point which is plenty to hit open shots. With bronze Agent 3 I can also hit 3s off the dribble. I still have bronze Anchor which is plenty to hold down the paint in a switch situation. I literally can guard all 5 positions and can handle the rock with an 80 ball handle and pass. My 70 defensive rebound with bronze Rebound chaser allows me to rebound most shots against anybody except tall bigs with high rebound ratings.
@@gqprince2 my 90 vertical allows me to snag boards without rebound chaser with an 85 rebound..I have an 81 3 I've got an 86 pass accuracy which allows me to run hof dimer and floor General, I also have a 93 block so I get hof chasedown and gold anchor with 32 defensive badges this pg is a pure playmaking defensive demon
@@gqprince2 I have 80 3point shot. Long ways from 92. But enough to effectively score and space the floor. My build is a Scottie Pippen do everything type. I run with randoms 99% of the time I need to be able to adjust my game to fit a variety of play styles.

You dont get gold clamps or gold glove though, tough to be a lockdown with those badges on silver.. You can still be effective but not elite.

I think all 3 are really good but you’ll get better badge synergy with posterizer and limitless takeoff since they can activate together more often

I have never seen limitless animations with it on silver, I stopped using it and haven't noticed any difference

I like it but I find strength way too important this year to not have it higher. 74 minimum in strength for me in all builds

well my build has 90+ in every defensive category.. 88 int def, 93 perim, 95 steal, 99 d and o board, 93 block, 85 speed, 99 driv dunk, 97 stand dunk.

Gold is plenty. HOF is still an improvement, but it isn’t massive enough to justify all those extra badge points

@@cristiansemprit9218 yes, it matters a lot. It helps the change of direction and if you're beat then you can get back to ball quickly.

my build is 86 speed and 81 Accel. But max accel is 84 i can change a little things to get it
@@cristiansemprit9218 no problem. Speed is just movement without the ball but if you are playing on ball defense accel is the best option, hope you enjoy your build!
