perchè gli accrescitivi di molte parole femminili sono, infatti, maschili!
Guarda: a sacola - o sacolão, a piscina - o piscinão, a fazenda - o fazendão, a camisa - o camisão, a cabeça - o cabeção .... 😆 E no italiano? is there any similar situation?

Wow, that's very interesting! I am trying to think of it right now and can't really find any similar situation in italian (however there surely must be some). What we have of gender change is body part. "il dito - le dita", "il braccio - le braccia"...
