And that chicken is being pecked by others probably. Chickens might start pecking and eating each other's features due to vitamin or protein deficiencies.

She passed away because of a wild animal but she looked a little bald because of a second rooster was aggressive when mounting and plucked those feathers. I frequently give all my chickens mealworms, good scratch grains, and eggshells so it definitely had nothing to do with any deficiencies but I appreciate the worry haha

We give all our brooder chicks food group names. We've had Patties, Nuggets, Fryers, ... we're running out of foods! I used to try to give "food names" to animals that were destined for freezer camp, but learned that, to my mind, any name is a Name, and therefore a pet. It makes it harder at slaughter for me. Now I only name the birds that "earn" the right to stick around forever. All the rest are "Bird", "Hen", "Roo".
That’s a very pretty rooster Maybe that’s what the proto-chickens in ancient Asia looked like, I could definitely see how that pattern would help them disguise from predators and hide among the grain plants
