I put the one chick that was not hatching underneath a different buff orpington that is also broody because none of her eggs hatched and that one was being pecked by the other chicks and mother the new buff was immediately accepting and talking to them!!!!! v exciting

Little Pheasant Rooster, my littlest rooster, tries to fight one of my biggest roosters, Bobtail. Phez is separated from the other bigger chickens w/ his own hens in a pen. While I was leaving he snuck out and immediately started fighting Bob, I was already recording because of my hen named BB- I just edited the video to highlight their nonsense lol

I was already laughing at the drama between the two roosters. But then proceeded to laugh even harder once you put the camera down! The way that I could just hear the chaos ensuing in that moment off camera in form of crowing, clucks and a chicken ‘shriek’ was almost perfect comedic timing.

@@TurtleChad1yea, the cage looks mostly clean to me! If there *is* shit, it’s minimal, they’re probably looking at the bedding that the chicken NEEDS if I had to guess

Yeah it doesn’t ever stay clean for long. I try to put the bedding in a nice arrangement and every time they have some other way they want it arranged. Every time they get food in bedding and bedding in water and it’s like a never ending cycle.

I have a pet chick but it hates me when I hold her like a hotdog :(
Not every chicken will like being held like a hotdog! I usually pick up and carry my chickens by putting them underneath one of my arms, against my side, and very gently holding their chest. Not sure if this goes for all chickens but when I support their legs instead of their chest they squirm and fly right out of my arms. And one last thing: bonding with chicks is very important, if you have the time to I recommend just hanging out with them! They'll eventually recognize your face and voice and run to you looking for food haha

I Remember a roo we have named Cheerio. he's a bantam of something I cant remember, and he's SO. FRICKIN. FLUFFY! he hates me tho. he used to crow and have a dramatic pause like (COCK-ADOODLE........DOO!)

So cute! I had a baby rooster years ago but had to rehome him, he had a really big attitude. He got a home on a farm with several females and was the boss, living his best life.
