There is a better way to remove hum or emphasize or deemphasize harmonics: Melodyne. It's ingenious. Just select a note or a frequency and lower all of it's harmonics with one click.
would you be able to save a vocal that was recorded at home and is resonating between 80-800hz? if i try to clean it up the vocal sounds thin and unnatural..
@@Monheur have you tried turning the bands dynamic? That way they get processed only when the input signal is loud enough on those bands, e.g. when unwanted resonance happens. When not, the character of the sound is maintained. You may need to adjust the threshold manually to match the point at which the band gets annoyingly loud. Just bare in mind you can fight resonances only so much, and they exist in pro recordings as well. Trying to get 100% rid of them is a losing battle, and it's very easy to spend too much time trying to get to perfection. Most listeners won't be concentrated on the quality of the material unless it's really bad.
RX is so confusing for me, I feel like it just adds clicks/clips/noise doesn’t get rid of it. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong 😂 I haven’t tried it in a while though. Any advice?
I'd use an EQ for this and attenuate the low end with a high-pass and bell filter. Then try frequency specific compression on the low end. SageAudio.com

What to do if your recording vocals and the voice is sometime loud and sometimes low in the recording.
How do we know where to find the bum in the voice?
