Thanks for watching everyone! Enjoy civil discourse below!
@MuseScore Drumline Sure thing! You guys are doing great work. I recommend it to all my students. With version three you're coming very close to replacing Sibelius for me.
Me gustan mucho tus videos. Soy fan de tu trabajo y tus clases.
These analyses are very helpful. Thank you.
So usefull to listen to someone giving advice to somebody else like this. Feels really educational!
Very Nice Opinions!!
You could also vary your roll speeds to provide a more consistent sustain in some places, and that will also make passages more interesting/give them some more direction.
I really like this technique. I've been trying to be careful about abusing it in my playing though, if you slow down the speed too much it becomes more of a rhythm and less of a sustain.
Marimbalogy For sure, I like to use it as more of a “tool in the tool bag” as opposed to something that I do with every roll. Also putting a spin on the roll such as small accelerandos/ritardandos can be included in what I was referring to
On the topic of the dynamics and ritardondo, what if we're practicing this piece for an audition and they want to hear it as written?
They want to hear something musically meaningful. No one wants to hear something mechanical that a computer could play :)
So cool that your back
Thank you!
