Their show Corporate is in my opinion the funniest thing on television right now. The concert episode this season was one of the best and most hilarious breakdowns of adulthood I've ever seen.
I totally agree. It's too bad there were only be three seasons. The show is truly amazing. Anyone who has worked in an office type environment will get it only too well.
"When the world ends which we all know is coming". Literally binge watched Corporate all three seasons in 24 hours during lockdown. Spot on Jake, spot on.
Times I regret just having Netflix... now. They totally look like Hill & Green! 🤣 How many people quoted to themselves... “Daddy would you like some sausage?!” That pause was just long enough to feel awkward! Loved it!
All the people in here saying Colbert's been copying Craig, like he invented Silence and awkwardness. He's been doing it since the Report. And if anything they've all been copying Letterman.
This is sort of of a rip-off of the "awkward silence" from the old Craig Ferguson show.... which was great and he should be back on the air.. but anyway... yes it was good here but better back in the day...
T Electronics I was thinking the same thing! I have recognized a lot of Craig in this show lately. Wait! Is Craig freelancing as a writer on The late show?!
I wasn't looking at the screen when they first started airing the clip from their show and when the second guy started talking I swear I thought it was Dwight Schrute.
I think it was more like a game of chicken. The first one to break the silence would have lost. They were probably trying to think of something funny enough to say to break the silence but they ran out of time.
man i wish craig ferguson would come back for a few years, dude was a genius at hosting. as for people saying that craig didn't invent the awkward silence or pause, yeah i agree with that, but at the same time i believe craig was the one who made it famous since he did it on a consistent basis and made it really funny mainly with all the female guests he had on
For those people concerned about "Awkward"interviews, you should check out some of the most iconic and interesting awkward Letterman interviews they blow Colbert's out of the water and I think that such things are even designed prior. I think that these networks have figured out that people love a good train wreck...they boost ratings.
Hello, that was straight out of Craig Ferguson's playbook. Couple of days ago he did a take on craig's ripping of the cue cards and few weeks ago there was another awkward pause. (John Oliver interview) If it's a tribute, I sure hope he mentions Craig's name or show sometime.
First, that's a lazy, strawman attempt at putting forth an argument. All of us are here because we enjoy Colbert. Indeed, I'm a fan. But there are noticeable similarités between thé segments and Craig fans are responding mostly from a sense of nostalgia and wondering if thé similarities are coincidental or a tribute. If latter, then we would all love a Colbert shout out for the Craig Ferguson édition of thé TLLS. If purely coincidental, it is still similar enough to naturally evoke a response from Craig fans just because that show was rather an oddball in thé land of late night and doesn't have many parallels or similarities with the usual late night format.
if your gonna mooch Craig Ferguson's awkward pauses, you better mooch his suave intelligence for getting out of insubstantial interviews and his unshakable disregard for production staff oversight as well.
Alright, I now HAVE to watch this show. These guys were fucking hilarious. Does anybody know if it's available on, like, Netflix or anything like that?

Cant wait for season 3!

This made me miss Craig Ferguson so much!
Yep.. gotta go find some JayLenoFly vids after this awkward pause!
Awkward pause.... I am heading to Jaylenofly for an hour compilation of Craig
I regret not saying anything to Jake when I saw him during my trip to LA, but I was able to tell Matt I love his show.
That’s awesome.
"Awkward Pause", copyright Craig Ferguson
Awkward pause... first introduced by the great Craig Ferguson.
I miss Craig and his awkward moments of silence.
"would you like to play the harmonica? or awkward silence?"
Had to jump down into the comments to find more Craigy enthusiasts! 😍😂 and I was not disappointed!
Yep Craig was genius still is :)
@@lemonielala3080 me too..😜😁😆
I’ve never even heard of this show but after this interview I am definitely going to watch it
Oh, it's awesome. Especially if you had an office job and/or depression.
It’s solid

And its not like copying is a bad thing or that people could come up with stuff separately. Thats how good stuff gets spread.
I rarely watch these clips twice but this scene has me crying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This went off the rail from like the time they walked in
Corporate is so funny and underrated
Might be in the minority but I love the dead air time.

Spectre
It’s really fun to watch a bunch of them in a row. It’s a brilliant idea that he pulled off magnificently.
Stephen's voice can be quiet, but his face can't.
I don't think people will understand how funnier this interview was than all of the regular ones, Imma definitely watch corporate now :D
Tune in next week when Stephen introduces a robot sidekick and a mouth organ.

Ripping up cue cards?
Awkward pauses?
Careful, Icarus.

If Jonah Hill and Sinatra had a baby...
Ke?
there´s also some Edward Norton in there!
Haha, was just thinking the dude looks kinda similar to Tom Green when he said it.
Might actually check that show out now.
that's why you just attach the previously sent email and just say please see attached
One of the best shows nowadays! Corporate is my kind of comedy!
tried to listen but couldnt unsee the jonah hill and john green line
lmfao 5:25ish when someone tells me the government is watching I always say "I want them to see" too
OMG I laughed so hard I can hardly breathe...
Colbert just time-outed them
Why did he do that?
@@michellelandreth89 it's funny :))
Corporate is hlarious.
Appaluse for Stephen . But Craig is the master .
Matt Ingebretson looks like the Once-ler. LOL
They were so too-cool-for-school they needed a five-minute break
Awkward interview, but the show is really great. Worth watching.
Well done, guys LOL
Silence in Comedy is a classic.
Oh man this small clip is so accurate with my job it’s insane.
He totally looks and sounds like Tom Green.
I LOOOOVE Chandeliers! Where can I get that job?!
Hilarious! Stephen meets his kind!
Colbert copied an awkward pause from Ferguson! 🤣
Scrolled down to thé comment section just to see who else felt thé same- glad not just me

Way to steal Craig Ferguson's awkward quite moment bit.
Yep, just what I was thinking! Not the first time either. Scrolled down just to see if any others caught on. Glad to see other Craig fans here.
It really made me miss that show. Craig did it better of course.
'quiet moment'??
How very dare you, sir.
They were "awkward pauses".
Dude he is been doing things like this since the Colber's report show Craig Ferguson was not unique but good try though.
I only clicked on this video because the thumbnail looked like Jonah Hill and Jake Gyllenhaal
Yay Adam Lustick in that clip! He should be a guest on Colbert!!!

Give the cameraman during the awkward pause a raise.
LOVE this show. Highly recommend it.
5:55 Dead air! Dead air! Dead air!
Can we make Moment of Silence a weekly skit. But put bubbles Thoughts above their heads.
I guess I can stop using exclamation points now!
What did Colbert not like these guys or something? What kind of interview was that???
I agree. Was picking up a negative vibe on his part.
I think it was more like a game of chicken. The first one to break the silence would have lost. They were probably trying to think of something funny enough to say to break the silence but they ran out of time.
Colbert’s body language was a little off too. He kept leaning away from them
Why were they holding hands.....?
why not
@@mj7087 - Ugh... Classic hostile misinterpretation. Thanks

Ok what was the moment of silence for I didn't really catch that joke 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
It was for comedic purpose.

Stephen Colbert, this may be the best interview you've done. Definitely top five?
A business degree, and an English degree.. and he didn't open a word store? Ejit.
crazy how I just got a mattress commercial
He doing a stuff Craig Ferguson would do now that very interesting. Lets see if he stars flirting with all the female guests next.
He did already, with Nicki Minaj, kinda... ;)
@@HrPedrosak She was doing that to him. Stephen is no where near Craig's level when it comes to the flirt game. But with time who knows.
@@SupermanBlack1987 This is true. But he was into it... And Craig is the absolute undisputed master of flirt in the history of talkshows...

Is their show on Comedy Central Amy good?
I didnt see the whole the title and I thought it was "getting married", and I feel baited. They did hold hands on the way in so now I am not sure?????
Jonah hill and Daniel Radcliffe

so what exactly does it take in terms of talent and skill to have a tv series...??
Matt Ingebretson has a Disney mouth
I like SC, but in the last week he's lifted two of Craig Ferguson's bits: awkward pause, and tearing up the cards. Boo.
