Lol. That little note where you realize that Kanej just drank from the same shot glass.... The fact that Jesper didn't tell Kaz that is a crime. Can you imagine reaction? Lol.
Iirc from the show, I think she technically still works for Tante Helene, so I imagine she's still having to go there on a regular basis at this point even if it's just to check in.
@@_sarathedreamer yeah, I think when we meet Inej in the books she's had enough time away to process what happened to her and realize how fully fucked up it was. I think she's still in head down, survival mode here.
dude when pekka rollins threatened dumping kaz in the harbor we both had the same realization at the same time. the writers really knifed us with that one lol totally agree about the "nobody is like you" line. i understand the writer's logic behind trying to bring his inner monologue into the show but i think they just tend to underestimate the viewers and how much they can pick up
I know a lot of fans complained about Kaz's character softening. But, as a hardcore book fangirl, can you blame the show for doing that? In the book, we get Kaz's inner thoughts and see how he really feels about things. We know many of his "bastard" actions are a show/survival method and he suppresses a TON of his emotions out of fear of being hurt again. If the show JUST showed his book/character actions -- let's face it, Kaz would be very unlikeable. Like, very! (They call him a "Bastard" in the books for a reason!) 😂 I get them softening his character and voicing his thoughts and doing things that book/Kaz would NEVER do. And I laughed so hard at Kaz's face when Inej nearly got him with her knife in episode 2. Freddy did such a great job at Kaz's "Oh crap!" expression as he stared at the knife a literal INCH from his face. Is it bad that I was going, "That's my badass girl!" during that scene? 😂
Yes I totally agree about them having to show his inner thoughts somehow!! It’s just the wording of them sometimes seems out of character to me! They do have to find a way to make him a little bit loveable tho, I agree 😂 Yes omg his expression when she throws the knife is so perfect it’s the best blend of fear, awe and exasperation 😂❤️
@@_sarathedreamer I agree it felt a bit OOC. Like, us book fans went from "You're just an investment to me" to THAT. And it's our intro scene of them too. 😂But, yeah, I guess this is their way of making us root for him easier. And it's so nice being able to fangirl about SOC/Kanej with fans who GET it. My family/friends don't get my fangirl obsession and look at me like 🙄 when I make my fangirl noises.
@@LovelyLies16 EXACTLY like I love the scene I just thought it was too early for all those feelings 😂 I’ll always be there for the kanej fangirl noises don’t worry 😌✨
The programme makers,to my mind, have created a very Dickensian/Victorian era vibe in these scenes. Not knowing the source material I'm curious if this is an aesthetic choice or a faithful adaptation of the material.
Jesper being confused at what is going on emotionally and just taking instructions is my whole personality tbh
When in doubt, just follow Kaz Brekker 😌✨

I KNOW he would have internally freaked out lol and Jesper would have been way too smug about it 😂 (while also sad because they drank his shot lol)
@@TheWordN3rd yeah she still does for sure!! But I just thought the tension in their dynamic wasn't as intense as in the books!

@@TheWordN3rd that could be it!
Love, love, love this. I have watched that final scene in episode two a truly embarrassing number of times.
It’s so good 😭😭
Agree that the investment argument felt weird so early
They were not there just yet 👀

So very true I agree!! And yeah that one sent me into a spiral LOL
