I forgot to mention in my post - I think you did a great job of giving a sincere and honest review of Aaron's products regardless of the existing friendship. I took it as a 9 out of 10 stars if you're a fan of a particular style of shades that he offers, not as an overall lineup of products. He had to start somewhere and he started with some good takes on some classic looks.
Antonio, I feel that all these glasses look decent on you; can't just choose 1 best one. But there is a downside - I think all of them look a little bit narrow for your face. I think you need the frames to be a bit wider to fit you perfectly. And that's the thing about this company - they released limited styles and what's even more limited is their sizing. They are going with one size fits all and saying that spring hinge will accommodate to any face shape/size. But if the frames are not wide enough or not narrow enough, they won't work with everyone. Aaron says these are the best glasses on the market. Do you agree with this absolute statement? 😏
agreed qarhsi, none of these glasses are a right fit for Antonio and I'm a bit suprised respectfully that he agreed to demo them on himself rather than on someone else - also there should have been a disclaimer relating to face width such as perhaps more appropriate for more narrow face structures etc.
Do the lenses Enemy sunglasses use offer no UV/IR protection? If so that would be disappointing and explain the low price point. We know they aren't Polarized but non Polarized doesn't necessarily mean no UV resistance.
I have 2 pair of Wayfarers.. 1 in clear prescription. 1 in polarised tinted prescription. My requirement for a script completely removed 90% of sunglasses off my radar. Oh and Antonio #3 suits you best. Please don't wear the Enemy Aviator's again, they sit waaay too high and completely consume your eyebrows!
Thanks for the video but I disagree in one point. Logos on shirts or glasses are looking so much like a tryhard to me. Great style needs no visible brand merch on it. I'm not an advertisement.
If they aren't polerized I would never consider buying them...I do a lot of fishing and hunting and polarized lenses are key..would like to see more options for a great looking sport/wrap around style..
Honestly, they look nice, but like every other pair of shades in that same over-done style...not really anything new about it. That being said, they all seem a bit small for your face; I believe they would be small on my head too.
I think one of the larger issues with the company that I have seen people have is that when Enemy was launched the glasses were around $135. Then when the backlash on price happened, they lowered the price almost next day and played it off as having a conversation with the supplier and worked it so the prices would come down like they did. That made people feel like Aaron/Enemy just reduced their margin on it and were trying to squeeze the fan base of money. The other issue I see is no mention if the glasses are polarized and have UV protection.
Whaaat? I am a little bit shocked. The thumbnail has alpha m picture with enemy. But when I saw you Antonio I was like "wtff ?" Great sunglasses. I love my enemy.
Great honest non biased review. Nothing wrong with Constructive criticism. I totally agree with your comment on a Logo being on Every style. IF I am paying for a premium pair of shades @ 100 $ plus then Yes I want People to Know it.
I love the glasess. But I think glasses are bit smaller for your face. I would suggest enemy introduce some wider frames for wider faces as well. Like width from 148 cm to 152cm.it would be great.
I am an optician, so let me give you my opinion. Maui Jim's main selling point is the lenses are photochromic and polarized, I doubt Enemy sunglasses are because they don't have this listed in their specifications anywhere, so you should not be comparing the two at all. Also, they are using Zeiss lenses, but are they even using the high quality ones that are made from glass and have back side anti reflection or are they using cheap plastic ones? I am going to guess the latter. Mazuchelli acetateis a good material, I'll give them that, but the construction looks like a cheap China frame as I have seen in the photo.
@@RealMenRealStyle You discredit yourself saying he knows his stuff when your overall review of these glasses was positive. I see this guy posting on other channels about these same glasses and I am starting to question his intention.. He also brings up Maui Jim's a lot. maybe just a fanboy of that brand or someone who works for them. Polarized lenses doesn't equate to better quality since every 10 dollar cheap pair on ebay is polarized. Some of the most expensive glasses on the market aren't polarized, and there are also expensive glasses that aren't made of glass either. I am sure the price is high for what it is, but most glasses are market up a hell of a lot higher than what they should cost. Why is this guy so vocal about a 100 dollar pair of shades and posts this same speech on multiple reviews of these glasses.
Not having silver aviators has prevented me from getting a pair yet. I've been planning on getting a pair, but I don't know which I'll get. I don't really like wearing gold, so more than likely I'll get them in tortoise.
U r killing it with the aviators. That's the go to for u. Congrats for this amazing video. I knew that u and Aaron are good friends, but I trust in your objective stand point.
I discovered my favorite pair of sunglasses recently. It is 31-Bamboo Hawk Optix. They are wire rimmed aviator TYPE glasses but the lenses are polarized and color changing. From side angle they are purple. Straight on, green and the bamboo stems are the BEST. I don't get tired of wearing them. There is never ear fatigue or nose fatigue. The bamboo is so light across my temples. I picked them up believe it or not at a TRUCK STOP. A Flying J. They were 20 on sale for 10. If I could I would buy multiple pairs. Just in incredible.
I'm going with 1-3 I noticed that there's a logo on the stem of the the wayfarer styles. Personally I think that's enough logo(I think the laser etched logo on lenses distracts), also I think adding to much more info then what's already available will go(lens curve) ,over the casual sunglass wearers head. Good review thanks.
The black clubmasters looked good. I have the tortoise clubmasters and I think they look better for me with my blonde hair but dark hair and dark frames look great
My go-to brand is Blenders. Half the cost of these and a lot of variety in styles, frame finishes, colors, etc. I've had some pairs for a few years and they hold up remarkably well. They do have some styles that are NOT "classic", and if you like the goofiness of those that's cool. I have other brands too, but my point is that I believe you can find quality shades for $50 or less if you just know where to look.
Do yours make a noticeable clicking sound when you push the spring hinges slightly outward? Mine do and it’s a bit worse on one side than the other and it’s just bothering me cause I haven’t found anybody else who’s complained about that
To be honest, I wasn't a fan of any of them. The wayfarers looked too narrow on your face and I never like aviators with the rounded lenses. I think they look goofy. Imma stick with my Ray-Bans
There customer service is really good and they care... I had a problem with some i bought, they refunded me and sent out a replacement sunglasses for free.
Good looking shades. they look like good quality. But with such a limited model offering they should at least offer a larger size option for each model.
Many times Antonio and Alpha have made videos together and as always, they have been great. I think Antonio is the best to review Alpha s sunglasses. I can't wait for their next team video
I think #1 looks best on you. :) I have a couple of pairs of these and I think they're great. First time I've gotten sunglasses I didn't have to take to Lenscrafters to have the fitting adjusted. The narrow bridge is great. I agree with you about the case, I do think it's overkill because it's so big. And yes, having lens height on the website would be helpful. In regards to the lack of variety, I honestly think that Aaron was concerned that the launch might not go well and he was trying to hedge his bets. In the future there will probably be more variety.
1 & 5 look best imho. I like the idea of small logo on the lenses. I also agree about the case. I'd like the smallest case the will fit and protect the glasses.
To be honnest i don't like the shape but i think they gona be better in the future some things comes only with experience and traditions and i'm not sure but i think the number 2 looks better on u but i think it's little small for ur face maybe i'm wrong i mean u definitly know better than me :)
I just got the Enemy 2 tortoise and they are extremely narrow and small, almost like they were designed for a child. Build quality is great but they’re going back unfortunately
Did you say in a previous video that wearing logos was a fashion don't? Coming in a box, inside a box, inside another box seems excessive and non very eco friendly. Luxury isn't filling up landfills.

Any sunglasses that don't actually protect against IR and UV are not only useless, but also genuinely hazardous.
