Jay’s intense concern over KB was adorable. And as someone with a disability, I related a lot to what she said this episode. Finding that balancece between wanting to be treated like everyone else while also accepting when you need accommodations to do things and what your limitations are.
It isn't stated outright, but based on how much of KB's head is taken up by her implants, the implication is that her accident involved a brain injury that left her quadriplegic, and her implants took over her motor functions.
I loved the disability rep in this, and that they broke the kids up into different pairs. Neel & Fern, and Wim & KB, working with and learning from each other. They’re no longer the girls vs. the boys. They’re just friends.
This episode made me realize that I want a reaction style short from Disney of Wim, Neel, Fern, and KB learning about the rise and fall of the empire. Essentially everyone on At Attin gets to see the movies for the first time as historical documentaries.
The Haslabs Onyx Cinder is gonna destroy us This show accomplished so much with a sample phrase “Thanks, Jedi”. It was built up and paid off more effectively than…other stuff with bigger budgets
I’m freaking loving this series, can’t believe it’s ending to quick but looking forward to the finale and then binging the whole thing ❤ Neel is to adorable
They blew a bunch of money on that hull separation scene. It is gorgeous to watch over and over again. The graphic artists that worked on that scene all deserve an Emmy and free pizza for life. The level of detail is insane.
Jake Lloyd, Ahmed Best, George Lucas, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Kellie-Marie Tran, Moses Ingram (and probably others that don't immediately come to mind) are all victims of the most toxic fanbase on the Internet. I'm hoping they don't turn their negative attention to these kids next, but you never know with some people 😒
The fans never went after Jake the way the media made it out to be. It was the same thing that is happening now. The Phantom Menace wasn't well received so the media played the shell game and blamed the fans for being mean to the kid who played Anakin. Every time a "main stream" production flops they blame the "toxic fans."
They absolutely are! People have welcomed the kids (and Jude Law for that matter) with open arms into the Star Wars universe. The show has been widely praised and positively received.
Incredibly biased on my part and definitely a hot take, but my absolute favorite Star Wars projects are Andor, Skeleton Crew, Rogue One, certain episodes of Visions and the first two seasons of Mandalorian. Now… I do love the skywalker family and original journeys, but weirdly I think the best Star Wars is when they explore that universe outside of one (important) family in the galaxy. It’s so expansive and you can tell these projects were made by people who grew up with Star Wars and wanted their own stories in the mix
Since you guys love spaceships, pirates, sci-fi and all that cool stuff you should check out the Japanese anime Space Pirate Captain Harlock. The original tv series ran in 1978 and had a series finale film called Captain Harlock: Endless Odyssey. Or you could just check out the reboot movie from 2013 and it's sequel called Captain Harlock: Dimensional Voyage. Captain Harlock has THE most amazing pirate spaceship called The Arcadia, it's honestly the star of the whole series, it has a healing factor and can rebuild itself.
Do you remember that part in T2 when they took out Arnie's chip? Do you think if this were rated-R, we would have seen some blood on that circuitry when Wim replaced the old part with the new or is the entire back half of her head just all electronics and just the front half is organic?
I love that it wasn't having a light saber that made Wim a Jedi, but rather saving someone's life.

Also, Jay’s a dad of a little bundle of joy; he’s going to be so scared for KB.
I wish there was a whole reaction channel dedicated to Jay genuinely reacting to stuff
KB is a great actress too. Totally love these kids
It isn't stated outright, but based on how much of KB's head is taken up by her implants, the implication is that her accident involved a brain injury that left her quadriplegic, and her implants took over her motor functions.
KB is adorable and she must be protected at all costs.
I loved the disability rep in this, and that they broke the kids up into different pairs. Neel & Fern, and Wim & KB, working with and learning from each other. They’re no longer the girls vs. the boys. They’re just friends.
Me too! And I liked KB’s little speech in this.
I love how the giant trash crab was completely stop motion, no CGI. It looked SO good and fluent.
It was done by Jurassic Park's Dinosaur Supervisor Phil Tippett!!
@@ACrowVidyeah, that definitely checks out
Bryce Dallas Howard never, ever misses in the director’s chair.
You can really see the dad vs not a dad in this one 😂
I love how all the nerds on the internet mention the Normandy when the Onyx Cinder sheds it's armor.
This episode made me realize that I want a reaction style short from Disney of Wim, Neel, Fern, and KB learning about the rise and fall of the empire. Essentially everyone on At Attin gets to see the movies for the first time as historical documentaries.
oh my goodness I'd give 100 Republic Dataries for a Star Wars react channel of the space goonies watching Star Wars movies!!!!
The Haslabs Onyx Cinder is gonna destroy us

Airlock is literally the space equivalent to walking the plank xD
I wonder... can you keep 'walking' if you walk the plank in space?
@@Phonixrmf For about 12-15 seconds.
@@Phonixrmf Well, "sucked from the plank" can't be said on a kid's show.
I love how this episode conveyed solid lessons about empathy and understanding for kids, through in-universe metaphor, very nicely done.
I’m freaking loving this series, can’t believe it’s ending to quick but looking forward to the finale and then binging the whole thing ❤ Neel is to adorable
Love watching the kids take care of each other.

I love a ship that can shed its skin in a pinch. Also, the god shell was classic practical effect claymation, and That Is Wizard.
After this episode, I really want KB to meet Fennec Shand.
Definitely, Bryce Dallas Howard delivered as director of this episode 👍🏻👍🏻
favorite line:
"were getting really good at falling"
The crab wearing the leg, I guess you can say he found himself some boot-y.
The score in the scene where Wim fixed KB up was so beautiful.
Actually it's back to it's true form. Captain Rennod added the extra armoring layer before returning to At Atton.
I really hope the kids in this show are being treated better by fans than Jake was back when Phantom Menace came out :(

According to his mom, she sheltered him from the backlash and he was not aware.
@@Narco42 yes they did, they very much did.
They absolutely are! People have welcomed the kids (and Jude Law for that matter) with open arms into the Star Wars universe. The show has been widely praised and positively received.
Fun fact!!! That crab was stop motion animated 🫶🏻
Onyx Cinder looks like the Normandy from Mass Effect.
And you both say the same thing right after I posted that.
Yes! U guys r almost caught up!!!
Happy New Year Jay and Adam🎉🎉

I don't think that's a hot take at all.
@ maybe not so much a hot take but that I like it more than anything skywalker I have definitely been given some looks from friends for that
"Just hit it!" - it is called percussive maintenance 😜
Jankom Pog approves.
Several "holy crap!"s, but I didn't hear a single "holy crab!" smh my head
Thanks to Jay and Adam! ✨💀✨
Adam representing that crawnch that the ship got!
13:58 Would be fun to use that in the intro.

My one criticism about this new Disney era of Star Wars is how they've effectively turned X-Wings into the galaxy's cop cars.
I love the modified patrol X-Wings. They make perfect sense. 100% logical way to fill the gaps while dedicated "law enforcement" vessels are created.
The Crab was all stop motion animation.
Am I the only one that would have loved to see Zeb tear the wolf dude apart, hand to hand.
Jay: What is it with this planet and crabs?
Me : Well, it IS a pleasure planet 🙃
Tell me why all I could think about when I hear the crabs say follow is follow the yellow brick road 😂
We did let Adam & Jay know that Pocket is played by the woman who voiced Merida in Disney's Brave yeah??
Aw crab! 😂
Do you remember that part in T2 when they took out Arnie's chip? Do you think if this were rated-R, we would have seen some blood on that circuitry when Wim replaced the old part with the new or is the entire back half of her head just all electronics and just the front half is organic?
Let's go a new video!
wim and neel ..I love Neel he`s my favorite . great reaction
Trash compacting shrimp✅
Cocoon-shedding ships✅
Droid hermit crabs✅
Disney not ruining everything they touch✅
Fennec Shand's augs are simialr to KB's, hers are just in her stomach.
This show is the best Star Wars property in years
That’s not saying much but Disney is still learning , baby steps … lol 🤷🏻♂️
In terms of TV/Movies 100%, but the games have been great, specifically the Jedi games
Since Mando Season 2, I completely agree.
Def. in the wrong zone for sure, but can you imagine the experience points if they'd won? XD
Today's vocabulary word is "carcinization", the tendency of living systems to evolve into crabs.
Thankfully KB is more human than the (horrifying) Decraniated augments from Solo. But a sleeker augmentation than Lobot's.
30-second gang
I actually gave up on this show after the first episode, but I missed you guys, so I fired up this reaction.
LFG
#Jaylovesshipsthatshedtheirskin
wait, wants the joke? Adam doesn't like food?
I think Adam doesn't eat beef. So he wouldn't have touched that mechanism in the last episode.
I find the ethics of child mods disturbing and ethically questioning
Doesn't seem like these were optional though. They're clearly necessary for her to even be able to function after an accident that she refers to.
Why? It's like a kid with a prosthetic arm.
You and every other reactor still acting like disney star wars is actually any good shows the brainrot in our society 😂
