  • We went on a flight to Victorville on October 22, 2017 and took a lot of photos of all the stored aircraft at the airport | 🛑Subscribe here ➤bit.ly/VMCAviationVideos
At the time of our visit, the two most prominent aircraft were the two future Air Force One Boeing 747-8, which sat on the main ramp. These two aircraft were built for the Russian airline Transaero, which went bankrupt in 2015 and the airline never took delivery of the two 747-8 aircraft.
The video itself is composed of 124 photos and is more a slideshow than a video. Well, I hope you will enjoy watching the "video" anyway.

Most of former Varig´s Boeings 747 are stored there, including the very first one PP-VNA, which became a Cathay Pacific cargo (new registration B-HMD). This place has a very special fleet for the history of aviation in Brazil.

All of these planes are champions of the sky. the fact that they flew thousands of flights and carry millions of passengers to their many destinations makes them true legends. other planes were victims of accidents that cut their lives short. I wish that we had bigger museums so that we can save these birds for eternity.

I have seen photos taken from the fence, but I myself have never been there by car, so I have no real information about that. No official "Graveyard" tours are offered at the airport. You can always charter a plane to fly to Victorville , but I'm not sure how much the cost is.

Amazing video- thank you! I enjoyed seeing the DC-8, L-1011, and many unique airlines. It's sad to see new 787s and 747s going to VCV for storage. I should try going to the airport soon...

Airplanes are amazingly durable... You have still got everything from DC-3s to B-29s still flying today, that were rescued from a boneyard. I remember seeing the first 707 in Tucson, Arizona sitting in dessert in the 1980s ( first flew in the 1950s ). It is now over in Virginia after getting dusted off in the 90s and flown there in 2003 after 34 years sitting in the dessert.

Those planes have a decent chance to be used by a second or third rank airline or cargo line. If the carrier cannot afford something newer and think they can make money with them, they will be bought or leased. And, of course, they may go for parts.
