Radiohead Weird Fishes Arpeggi In Rainbows Live from Basement 2008 Thom Yorke Jonny Greenwoon Ed O'Brien Colin Greenwood Phil Selway HD High Definition HQ Quality 1080p
The synchronization between Johnny, Ed, and Thom on the Arpeggiated chords is surreal. The whole Basement cut is so raw, but technical, meticulous and clean at the same time
Idk if you've got a band, but if you've tried this you'll know my pain. It's almost impossible, the lead singer and I nearly had each other by the throat. I guess their 15 years of experience together is essential.
The better version is basement
Also Colin's bass and Phil's drums made it much better
Oh shit I just realized that, damn I have new respect for this song not saying that I didn’t before
Their parts are so different, I can't imagine how they don't throw each other off
After 8 years listening to this album, I've realized that this song is my favorite of all, I wish this to be 3 hours long, so emotionally attached. I've never felt something similar to what this song makes me feel.
Me too. Just put on headphones and close your eyes, this song just surrounds you. My favorite song of all time.
like someone said above, it's easy to not pick a favorite with this, and I think we should look not just at this but to all radiohead hits
I get chills with this song
I dare say that this Album is my all time favorite from Radiohead. All other songs are great for sure, but this album i can listen to it from top to bottom, bottom to sideways. Its sounds are so melodic and captivating. I dont find my self skipping through songs like in other albums. The feels with this album.
I love this one but I think body snatchers is the best song
My gosh the part where Ed is singing those backup vocals is so damn beautiful
+Nathan Brown Big time - they still totally blow me away!
So powerful.
Gives me goosebumps!
EEEEEEEEEEEEDDD!
Sounds yearning
In Rainbows is by far one of the most perfect albums ever released. It's beautiful from start to finish.
luna zero It’s hard to choose between that one and OK Computer for me. But they’re both 10/10 for sure.
YuruPivo this one ok computer is overrated
A band that are within in rainbows at the other side of a journey they started with ok computer. Every musical journey encountered in between learned from and perfected manifest and beautifully crafted. Different beast yet the same. In rainbows for me every time. Until a moon shaped pool obviously.
Sean Stevenson ok computer wasn’t their first album?
IJ Hopkins not at all
All the swarming guitars on this song always amaze me.
thats the fucking genius of the song, haven't heard better arpeggi's in any other song
*arpeggi
Behola its arpeggios
But the song is called arpeggi :(
'Arpeggi' is the plural of 'arpeggio' in Italian
This album is just like wine
interesting metaphor here.
Getting better with the years
for u this album is shit?!
@@tkplg21 bruh this kid
The finest possible wine
could we all just take a moment and appreciate ed's backing vocals please??
Max Harrison He's one of the best backing vocalists I've ever heard, he's number one after Mike Dirnt and John Frusciante
Batboy Carroll so technically he's number 3 right?.lol
Totally my thoughts watching this
yes
Carlos Ortega Edited it, no need to be rude
God Ed's backing vocals are amazing.
that is why I love this performance!
So true. Ed is so underrated. We went on 6/26/16 and didn't get Weird Fishes but we got plenty of other surprises. Actually, I think they're all underrated. I'm 58 and I love Radiohead like I love vintage Pink Floyd.
Wolfatadoor HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Wolfatadoor i loved this song because of his backing vocals
Sam Dracula nailed it... if stuck on a deserted island and had to choose one only: either RH or PF complete catalog... I dont know what I would choose...
YEAH EVERYBODY LEAVES

IF THEY GOT THE CHANCE
EEEEEEEEEEED
AND THIS
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

I come here everyday for this part and for the fucking ending, dude...

i get eaten by the worms.............
Dont forget the weird fishes

I hit the button... and replay.

Ed O'brien is Radiohead's secret weapon.
Jonny greenwood is
They're all unbelievably talented. Paul McCartney is a personal fan of the band, too!
For this album Colin is.
Thom is their secret secret weapon.
Phil and Jonny
Ed is singing 'Ed'.
LIVIN' A LIEEEEE
+Andrew Tucker cannot be unheard
you win sir.
+Andrew Tucker Just watched a version of Lift where its sounds like hes doing the same hahah
he is a pokemon
I never appreciated how crucial the drum work was to the amazing Radiohead sound. This visual brings it out...how lucky these guys are to have such a pro on the skins!
The reason the band is so good is because every single member is a musical pro and a master of at least one instrument. Philip is very underrated, but a lot of drummers are.
I've always thought so. Philip is mad great
Couldnt agree with you more. Not only are they highly talented, but they are all very highly creative as well. Those two elements dont always go hand in hand...
I think the chemistry also adds to it a great deal. They have evolved and grown and changed as a band so much. Its so inspiring to listen to their music and how it has changed.
Theyve also got an amazing producer and mixing artist
i guess i should appreciate the nuance, but his drumming just sounds so weak compared to what it was in the past. don't know if it was a style or production change or what.
Art Traynor - Phil is an amazing drummer, you can tell he is a big fan of Steven Morris & Budgie
2:35 Thom mimicking Ed's vocals. Exactly what I do when I singing along to this fucking epic tune.
This is epic
@@burusw Ok, this is epic
I started crying listening to this. This song is so special. Love this version.
same.
Musical perfection. Their music takes me to another level of introspection.
I've cried at two songs in my whole life. This song and True Love Waits on A moon shaped pool.
Love your comment n u music taste. Radiohead is Everything of human emotions
what are u crying for u big baby?
this is like when you're a lonely soul and then you find someone that makes you feel things again, that is only perfection and you dont care if you get hurt again, you just want to know what's going in that, you want to follow that. When you feel the weird fished in you stomach again and you gotten eaten by the worms of the attraction. This is just perfecr.
viktr estebn thank u
i feel like shit. She doesnt like me... she's so cute and i'm so sad.
viktr estebn man i know your feeling...... i'm living this right now. your interpretation is beautiful man. never give up.... the thing about fishes is that there are other fish in the sea, i might have to confront the inevitability that she won't see my worth and i'll have to move on.
viktr estebn i did this to a guy once. even though i wasn't interested and sure of it because i just wanted to focus on other aspects of my life and myself and not got tied into a relationship with someone i couldn't really connect to, he kept persisting. sometimes in life it's not about you, so you shouldn't take it personally and learn to let go and use the person as a source of inspiration instead. if you're lonely then you have to find other passions and good people in life to occupy your time with that will bring you a strong sense of purpose.
Rebecca Alam Those are meaningful words. I've been alone for so many time and that's no going to change for a very long time, and im ok with it. Idk i guess somehow some part of time still thinks that im too young and all the depression and hard time it's just like a phase... that everything around me it's a test to see if i can last.. i dont know if i can, where's my strength at?.. anyway I've got too much to lose to fly away and leave all of this behind.
So capture this moment, before I forget why I'm here
damn, i actually feel the dreamy atmosphere of being in a deep ocean
I got that during the entire 2012 TKOL tour, amazing performances on that tour.
RedStellars me too omg
If it wasn't for music like this,I would have regretted my life.
Richard The Third That's reassuring.
I still regret my life. But I don't regret listening to this and feeling how I did when I heard it.

It should be illegal to play songs this beautiful.
It should be illegal to play songs not as great as this
Then it would be illegal to play all songs expect this
Nah it should be elegal to play something less.
This is 1 of the greatest achievements in music history.

I am a huge music fan, 60 years old in six days, and this is one of my 10 favorite songs of my entire life. It is intricate, melodic and rapturously beautiful. It is a masterpiece.
If only there was an OK Computer - Live From the Basement!
I won't lie, I'd love from them to do 'The Bends' at the basement also.
@@neviatha Radiohead all discography Live from The Basement would be awesome. They're musical geniuses.
@@neviatha If you haven't heard it, I suggest you the performance they did at 2 Meter Sessions in '95, it has a similar concept to the In The Basement performances and they played only songs from The Bends Really worth checking out imo, one of my favourite performances by them.
And a Kid A :oo
Can't believe this album is almost 12 years old. My absolute favorite from them. Loved it back in 2007 and I love it even more now.
There's no song in Earth that could make me feel so happy as this one. This became my favorite song since the first time I heard In Rainbows. The lyrics, the way the song grows in a crescendo to finish in such magical way after a suspense break, the guitars dancing between themselves, Ed screaming as angel, Jonny jumping into the Rhodes for the break and then create a guitar loop for the last part, the bass lines growling. This is pure perfection.
Fucking masterpiece,every bit of it.
YOU ARE FUCKING RIGHT!!!
I CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE FUCKING RIGHT
+Pavle Zvekić I CONFIRM THAT CONFIRMATION
+Mique Celli IM ALSO HERE TO CONFIRM EVERYONE ELSES CONFIRMATION!!
I CONFIRM EVERYTHING THATS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED
How in the hell can anyone on this planet give this MASTERPIECE a thumbs down? This is soul ascending.
damn it's so hard to try and properly appreciate the complexity of the sound...i just get lost in this song so easily. the instruments and vocals just blend together so perfectly and naturally...and before i know it the song is over.
i come here every day

Where have you been all my life? I think this was the best 6 minutes of my life.
True musicians like these guys just don't exist today. Phenomenal.
+BJ Lepping look up toe. theres alot of math rock/post rock bands now a days that will surprise you
True- but they're not in Radiohead's league.
BJ Lepping punch brothers man.

the most perfect song i have ever heard
beautiful it is
I don't care... anyone is free to kill me to this song. It's like my soul leaves me just listening to it. I'm obsessed.
Juven Maldonado i got that exact feeling goddamn this song is unbelievable
i always feel like this song is the peak of what you can experience and dying to it would made perfect sense
All of the instruments sound beautiful in this song, but the drums sound absolutely amazing!
Anyone else come here every day?
Sham Bolic Yes!
Sham Bolic I’m starting to lol
I smashed into a truck head on listening to this song riding my bike in DC. A week in a hospital. I just want to be careful around masterpieces now.
the truck okay?
Sorry for the blood
this song changed my life

sebastian24 Oh shut up
Felix Naf Naf You too
This was my first Radiohead song and it probably pops into my head once a week since 2009. The guitars in this song are the closest thing to divine I've ever come across.
My story exactly bro
greatest backing vocal ever
I get that we're all about the 20th anniversary of OK Computer right now and it clearly changed music (and my life) forever but I truly believe In Rainbows-era Radiohead is the period that we'll look back on with the biggest smile in our hearts.
There are not that much Radiohead songs I can REALLY appreciate, this is one of them, it just stands out in a totally different way than all their other songs. The way it vibes, oh it just totally takes me away. I could just listen to this for hours in a dark room all by myself.
If you like this you may like In Limbo... it's similar in that it has a dreamy quality to it though I'd say this song is more peaceful... you may also like Let Down. It's very melodic and the two guitars intertwine in a beautiful way.
I spent like a month going through all of his albums, but only got 4 songs I liked and then I went away from radiohead.
Listen to blow out aswell
Gorillaz12d indeed in limbo in probably one of their most intricate songs, my personal favorite.
Same for me. This is simply the best song of this band for me of the few that I like from them. But the thing is it is simply one of the best songs that I have heard till now.

"Radiohead make body music that circumvents the head to reach the spirit." - Barry Walters (when reviewing 0k Computer for Spin magazine in 1997)
Love everything about this song, the lyrics, Thom's vocals, Ed's backing vocals, The Bass, The Drums, and most of all the arpeggios.
This performance is incredible. I closed my eyes and forgot this wasn’t the album recording. It sounds that good.

Lmfao!!
The most outrageously beautiful thing ever.
guitars double penetrate my ears and my mind. one of the best live performances ever.
+3m7c It's a triple penetrate when Thom starts playing too.
So good it makes you cry
This entire session the Band was completely on point. Amazing to watch. Phil’s percussion work is unreal as always.
Radiohead is by far one of the gods in the world of music , no doubt about it
My parents act like they can't understand anything he is saying. They think that crap like Hootie and the Blowfish are better than Radiohead. I'm so glad that I'm me and not them. Life must have no meaning for them.
This song brings the chills to my brain. Until I heard this song, I didn't know that this was even possible! Masterpiece indeed!
Religions should prohibit this song with fear of competition.
LOVE THIS¡
Not quiet Handel's Messiah... maybe some day.

Every version of this song is the best version of this song
simply the greatest artist of any area. The genre RADIOHead has but only one artist.
I'll never understand how anyone could dislike this
Me either. If they dislike it what does that mean about them?
Radiohead must be one of the very few bands that gets even better in time instead of getting worse.
and theyre usually better live (except for a moon shaped pool)
@@masterninja9716 yeah, love them but some of their lives are very lazy, especially by Thom vocals.
@@cristian19perez93 probably because of the touring. Some live shows are fantastic but thats one in a hundred
They are my favorite band of all time but technically they got worse, since A Moon Shaped Pool is not better than OK Computer. But I kind of get your point.
Just discovered this masterpiece and truly can’t get enough
Phil wastes no time getting down to business. He's so clean.
The only song to consistently make me feel like I’m floating yet grounded and centered at the same time
For me this song is about depression (the bottom of the sea) and about the person that pulls you out from it (the eyes). He does not know where they will take him but he takes the risk. Everybody leaves if they get the chance.
the very best for you
The things who's grateful with Radiohead is the purity of Thom's voice and the musical harmony with any heart and soul. This song is just MAGIC. :)

THE definitive Radiohead song. Brilliant and otherworldly. Thank you Thom and friends.
Just casually decided to end the decade crying in the dark bathroom with this song playing.
Poland, nice!
I listen to a huge range of music everyday. But nothing, NOTHING get me like this song/album does. It's a perfect mix of everything I want from music.
the second time Thom sings "they turn me" gives me goosebumps every damn time. Perfect piece of music
Just perfect! So many years, and here everything is excellent!
one of the special songs. radioheads music has helped me through some difficult times
I think I've been listenin to this songs thousands of times through the years! I can't have enough of it
The best song I’ve ever heard. In Rainbows is so much more than an alternative rock album
This song never fails bringing tears to my eyes.
Maybe because it holds valuable memories of my young son who enjoys this song as much as I do.
this is better than studio version. That hidden electric sound. Amazing. I bought all videos in Itunes Store. Sadly they took out these masterpieces of the store. Anyway i managed years ago to download them to my computer
I find myself pausing this song halfway, and clicking rewind to relive this song all over again. Its euphoric.
i heard this three years ago for the first time and since then it's my favourite song. it's just so hypnotically unique.
My favorite song too. But Decks Dark is creeping up there.
In forever.
Radiohead for life from this one song in which I bought my first Radiohead album. Never a band that has mesmerized me. This is by far the favorite of all my favorites from Radiohead.
Carissa Bucy It's my favorite song from my favorite band, nothing more to say, this is pure art.
Watch "Meeting People Is Easy" on acid...... lol. That's what I did.
I remember hearing this song as the defining moment that I might never have to listen to another band in my life again
Joy Yang
That's a bit of a problem
That will be a beautiful life. You owe it to hear Deftones and Depeche mode too then.
The incredible type of synergy that I do believe that happens among the band members and fans that somehow feel themsleves connected to the feeling they make us feel throughout their harmonies and their music in general is something that is really amazing. I've felt many different feelings listening to Radiohead songs, especially the songs from this album. In Rainbows certainly has a very unique and special atmosphere. Many times I find myself getting my own fucking hands shaking, my heart racing, and the weird feeling I've got many emotions at once mixed inside me, it's totally out of my own capacity of explaining.
This song changed my life.
I don’t know who reads this stuff. But this is the best representation of what music and how good something could ever be. I can not get thru this song without having an extreme feeling
Arguably their best work ever. It certainly is mine. Musically, lyrically and meaning...
This album and song brings back so many memories. I was in the NYC Virgin Records store back in the Winter of 2007 and Weird Fishes/Arpeggi was playing and I purchased the album. It was all I listened to for a huge chunk of my high school days. Ten plus years later, this is still one of my all time favorite albums and songs!
Thom thank you for saving people.
I just don't know how does this song trapped me on the relaxing melody and makes me feel like i'm flying away and chilling... is.. like if i am high but i doesn't take drugs or something.
I just love this song.
greatest band in a long time.....
Oops, typed it up there- the best band EVER.
Can't believe this song was from 2007. The Present Tense comes pretty close to being as enchanting, mesmerizing and beautiful as this song, perhaps the only thing we need is a Live from the Basement version.

I like present tense because it's Arpeggiated as well
Best fucking song ever
