I do like Jeff but I think this is him feeling guilt over what he did to Jackie. If you pay attention he doesn't really enjoy it he's just going along with it to save their marriage
At the end of last season, I would have agreed with you. But I think Shauna is wearing Jeff out. That scene in Adam's studio was tough. He was hoping that they were through with the affair. Then they go up to the studio and he is surrounded by these paintings. Shauna tries to turn it into a sexual romp, but Jeff can't get it up staring at those paintings. He's really frustrated and has to rock out to some Papa Roach. Then Shauna jumps the carjacker and takes the pistol. "ARE YOU RAMBO??!?!?!" (One of my favorite lines of the series! They give Jeff great lines.). They're going to have a major fight about the minivan being back. Shauna's escalating craziness is having an effect on Jeff. He read her journals, he knew she had problems, but before it was just what she had been up to in the wilderness. Now it's in their home and marriage and he is losing patience. Maybe you're right and in the end it will make them stronger. I'm just concerned because Shauna's bloodlust is really percolating. I also think Callie will cause some major drama this season too. What will she do when she finds out her drinking buddy Matt is a cop? Will she react like her mom and dismember him? These writers are so amazing! Can't wait to see how it plays out.
@@PK4Real thanks for the great reply. I’m just being hopeful. I’m a romantic at heart and I’m married to my HS sweetheart. I see them walking a tightrope for sure. At least Jeff took up for Shauna with Kevin Tan but that surly made K even more suspicious. Plus J working Callie over. It looks like Callie spilled her guts to him too. Again I am hopeful that anything she told him will not be admissible due to his inappropriate behavior with a minor. This is a fantastic show and I have talked to so many cool people about it. 😎
“Strawberry fantasies”? He always liked her better. There’s a classroom scene where he passes her a note. I think he would have decided to be with her even if Jackie survived. But Shawna would have gone to college and probably never saw either of them again.
The music in this season has been so on point with the scenes they feature in. I didn't notice it so much in the first season but I'm wondering if that's something I just failed to pick up on at the time.
Lisa is played by Nicole Maines who's 25... maybe she's Shauna's baby? or maybe Shauna isn't the only one who leaves the wilderness knocked up... Lisa being the daughter of Nat and Travis would be a fun twist
She’s saying “Il veut de sang”. It wants blood. Which ties up to the forest wanting to spill blood. I think the symbols are located at places where the girls are led to die. There is one by the plane, one by the cliff where Tai almost went over last episode, etc.
@@JessJP522 the show runners said they won’t, but I don’t think they’re telling the truth. It’s either cannibalism, still birth, or still birth and then cannibalism, or it’s symbolic of Shauna spilling blood for the forest. I think her being the one to use the knife and slitting the throat of all the kills is foreshadowing her spilling her own blood giving birth and providing for the group and it’s symbolic of the fact that every time they start to gwt hungry again, the forest or spirit provides. We know that Shauna is 7 months pregnant now and they just had Jackie as their meal when they were starving. They don’t have much meat left, because Nat took the bones to the plane where the other bodies are buried and so I think they end up horrified they ate Jackie but start to starve again; that’s when Shauna will give birth I think. The girls or the animals in the forest have spilled their blood as a sacrifice to keep them alive, but in order to survive, it *must* be sacrificial. So I can’t wait to see what they’ll do with this. Two months after consuming Jackie would put them right on track to be starving again. I think her birth will kick things off and be the catalyst to split the girls into two groups. Shauna is too pragmatic to not do what needs to be done to survive. I’m starting to think that the antler queen isn’t just one person but they switch places or maybe even though we’re 90% sure it’s Lottie, maybe it’s Shauna, as she’s always the one to bleed the kills and led them to eating Jackie and again - spilling her own blood or giving the forest what it wants - blood. Who knows, I could be way off.
The first couple episodes started out slow but now the pace is picking up fast with every character. Van returns next week (Lauren Ambrose). Is she going to be a real person or a ghost. I don’t know why I think this. So many good storylines I just think Natalie (Juliette Lewis) is being underused this season. She’s such a good actress.
Hey can we talk about that guy's artwork from last week? Am I the only one that noticed that the one-eyed portrait of Shawna, matches her look when she serves people food in episode 1 as the food server of the group?
We were so focused on the survival part it was nice to see the girls miss their family back home. The fact that they might never see their loved ones again was crushing
⛵ 🌊 🤔 Walter inviting Randy had a lot more to do with his case than Misty's case. Randy just confirmed to Walter that Jeff may have done something illegal and he is very close with Jeff. The Adam case Walter is trying to solve out of spite from Misty giving him a thumbs down in the chat got a clue
@@guyinc0gnito thanks. It just makes sense to me that he will show back up but not make it back to civilization. It would also close the loop on why Nat told Misty that Travis never believed in Lottie’s woo. If Javi came back and then became one of their-ahem-meals, I could see him losing faith in Lottie and having tremendous guilt about it.
It could be lead poisoning. In the first season they mention being constipated. Van makes a joke about Mari not taking a shit for 2 weeks. Lead will do that. Mercury usually gives you the runs. But that could explain why someone pooped in the pee bucket lol 🤷♀️… there are a lot of old mines in Canada that leak multiple heavy metals into the ground so it could be a mix of many.
I dont think lotties cult is evil I also think " he" who wants bloods is not the no eyed man. I think It's " the hunter". No eyed man is a manifestation created by tai.
There is definitely a separation between whatever is happening in the woods and the no eye's guy that Tai sees. The no eye's guy has been haunting her family for generations. There are parallel supernatural weirdness's going on.
I think Walter is still on the missing Adam case and is using Misty or knows she is involved. Hopefully when they have their confrontation, Misty wins.
The symbol it want blood whether it is protection or not remains to be seen ,but it could work like some dark sigils in many practices where it does bidding of the users.
Lottie previously said about embracing the darkness and believes it wants blood and leaves a bear heart out in the tree stump. Nat takes things to a different place and doesn't want anything to do with the symbol and she sees a white moose. Shauna touches the symbol and gets a nosebleed. The "bad" part of Tai is drawn to the symbol and draws it on her gf's hand and in her basement sacrificial chambers. . . not getting "good" vibes from the symbol.
@kim, I like where you're going with this, but my theory is that it might be Mirror Taiissa (The Bad one). You are on to something because why would Jeff send out the postcards if he sent the texts with the symbol, and he took Shauna's diaries to get the symbol right in the text. Or maybe Lottie because that queen bee is trying to lure them Queens to her compound to sting and kill them. Or we both could be bat crap crazy. LOL But then I remember that Shauna didn't get one, Just Misty, Natalie, and Taiissa. This show will do it to us.
Akin to your last minute in the video, a lot of the supernatural stuff can also be attributed to Lottie's schizophrenia ... another thing, I rewatched S1 the other week and noticed there are the two or three side characters that just hide in the background, I did not even realize those extra girls were there until the rewatch lol, and I am betting one of them is gonna be pit girl
I was wondering if it was Jackie's spirit I mean I know that most likely form shed take, but moose are actually very scary powerful creatures, and the fact it was all white, and ghostly 🤔.
I have a theory that Shawna's baby doesn't make it because they're all saying it's a boy. Plus when Misty's in the car with the other guy she corrects him to say it was 25 years ago. And I'm pretty sure Shawna's daughter is still in high school age and did not 25 years old or older.
That's the secret they are trying to cover up in present day. Because media already speculate about them being cannibals...so why are they so worried in the present day about telling their stories? Most likely because they eat the baby.
Sir next time they speak French or any other language please google the meaning. The quality of your reaction dropped so much when you said it meant 'it's good for you' 🙃
As Lottie pointed out last week, it's Heliotrope, which is a pink-purple tint. So not a pure purple hue, but closer to Lilac which is a soft, pale shade of purple.
As far as the necklace goes there’s LOTS of heart imagery in the show all throughout. So I feel it’s significant, I just don’t know how yet but I think it has to do with sacrifice.
I think they will put the necklace on whoever is meant to die and sacrifice their life for the group. Jackie had it on when she died. And they said she'd want them to eat her. So even if they fight for their life to not get eaten when they do the group sees it as sacrifice and if they were gonna die anyway they'd want to be eaten
Crystal not being real makes sense because how in the world was she not singing all the time before? She said in the first episode that she couldn't help herself. She would have been as annoying and nobody noticed? It would also make me glad if this is true, because the writing of her introduction and the other "new" girls was god awful :D
@Mariela lara I know they crashed in Canada, I'm just pointing out that if it was somehow the same place it's not still isolated wilderness. I think people are expecting that they're still fully isolated and Natalie won't be able to leave
I have watched some interviews and some actors hinted that the supernatural might or might not be expained realistically. So the mine is definitely a huge possiblity.
For Jackie’s necklace I think when they start killing and eating each other, whoever the sacrifices will be is given the necklace in a ceremonial way. Besides shauna the two seen wearing the necklace were the two eaten
I believe in the "two queen theory" as one queen is Lottie and other Queen is Shawna as it looks like they are having the baby in a way and in the end of scene of the episode 03 birds fall off the camera angle is such that "we see 2 main girls bow in front Lottie and in other main girl who is standing besides Lottie is Shawna at 53:42
I think the show makes it purposely ambiguous. It could all be supernatural as much as it could be reasonely explained like the mine theory, mental illness or simply coincidences. And I don't think it's supposed to matter either. It's all an illustration of trauma and instinct
I could hear the dripping Mari mentioned 💦 in your clip but don't even remember it from the episode. Maybe it's on sound level only people in their late 30s can hear.
You editor is a genius. Before you said anything about it I was telling my screen that Crystal isn't even real! I don't remember anyone outside Misty ever interacting directly with her. And even if they did, she's got some definite Fight Club vibes with that one and it could play out the same way. I predict later we'll get some sort of montage of every time someone talking to Crystal, it was actually Misty. That's by bold prediction and I reserve the right to look like a complete idiot as soon as next episode!🤣
Dripping noise theory… What if it was some sort of old gas leak from the house, which emitted into the sky above and killed the birds, and also caused Shauna’s nose bleed? That would be the *logical* thing but with everyone buying so much into Lotti being some sort of chosen one they would of course believe it to have a supernatural meaning.
I believe that it’s foreshadowing when Mari made that crazy spike crib mobile for the baby I believe that's why Mari is the only one hearing the dripping sounds...it's the sound she is going to make on those spikes.
11:50 I think shaunas speech about killing someone was more going back to her killing Adam but it could be about something that happened in the wilderness, but that’s the way I perceived it because she had to cut Adam up but the peeling skin part could be from a memory of eating someone
21:00 no the voice actually says "Il veut du sang" which means "He wants blood" but otherwise really good video. I enjoy watching them after every new episode
When Scott refused to move in with Paul had me thinking about that skit on this on show when the men were picketing 4 gay marriage rights and the when guys find out they can now get married the guy has so many reasons not to. Lol. I know I think it was Tracy show or mad tv lol
Zendaya has some competition this year. Her name is Melanie Lynskey who plays older Shauna. Melanie is one of the best actresses I've ever seen. She will be getting an Oscar in her future. Remember where you heard it.
Couldn't have dropped this at a more perfect time - just finished ep3!! Great summary series for Yellowjackets + really appreciate all the details included Jared :D
If they honestly explain everything with “they’re tripping balls” I’m calling this show a mistake. They’ve had way too much weird shit happen to wave it away with that.
I believe that there is more than 1 Queen. Lottie dethroned Jackie in Season 1 - Lottie to Jackie "You're not needed anymore" (Season 1 Doomcoming); then there is Taiissa (Her alter ego) Queen 2; Then I believe Nat (White Caribou (Stag - A tremendous change is coming): Nat's comment to Travis "You know there are no Queens in that deck" - Season 1. Lottie mentions this season that when a new Queen is born, she has to kill all of the other Queens, or they all will starve. Four queens in a deck of cards, too much theory to write.

I just binged this series and caught up and I was surprised by how good and interesting it is so far. Great breakdowns!
Lisa is played by Nicole Maines who's 25... maybe she's Shauna's baby? or maybe Shauna isn't the only one who leaves the wilderness knocked up... Lisa being the daughter of Nat and Travis would be a fun twist
Interesting theory! It might explain her traumatic background and why Lottie is looking out for her...
She’s saying “Il veut de sang”. It wants blood. Which ties up to the forest wanting to spill blood. I think the symbols are located at places where the girls are led to die. There is one by the plane, one by the cliff where Tai almost went over last episode, etc.
That is so interesting.
Aww that would be sad. If the baby is born it would be put on that blanket with the symbol. I really hope they dont eat the baby 😭
@@JessJP522 They will, it is too dark not to be.
@@Ch50304 😔
It’s interesting that Charlotte is wearing the Yellowjackets colors in this scene.
Totally agree
The poop in the pee pan last week and the noise Mari heard is going to be Javi hiding out in fear of everyone.
Oh my god I bet you’re right
🫢🫢🫢
@@guyinc0gnito thanks. It just makes sense to me that he will show back up but not make it back to civilization. It would also close the loop on why Nat told Misty that Travis never believed in Lottie’s woo. If Javi came back and then became one of their-ahem-meals, I could see him losing faith in Lottie and having tremendous guilt about it.
Omg that is a good theory!
This episode didn’t have too many answers and was kind of a filler ep but I’m looking forward to future episodes. Great recap 😊
i hope we get answers this season to many cliffhangers so far
Yep I was hoping for a lot more.
If Frodo turns out to be shawna’s forest baby, I’m gonna riot 🤣. You blew my mind with the mine system theory. Sounds accurate.
LOL!!!
@@TangoNevada we now have the man in the cabin, no eyed man, no eyed woman (think that was Van), Tai’s other self - interesting stuff.
@@TangoNevada I agree the no eye man was in the window when her grandmother died
@@jessicaplank8920 It was a mirror.
@@finfog4590 What no eyed women?
nat is drinking the smoothies, I wouldn't be surprised if something in that is making her more open to the cult you know
Very possible!
I think Walter is still on the missing Adam case and is using Misty or knows she is involved. Hopefully when they have their confrontation, Misty wins.
She will kill him
The symbol it want blood whether it is protection or not remains to be seen ,but it could work like some dark sigils in many practices where it does bidding of the users.
The man with no eye reminds me of Michael Jackson 😂.
I totally agree
Your breakdowns really blow my mind Jared!
I’m starting to think more and more, with each episode, that shauna sent the postcards
I hope Lauren/ Adult Van is in next week’s episode.
I always thought it was a boy for some reason (Adam) and that he changed his identity after rescue.
@@finfog4590 this would be ew
That's the secret they are trying to cover up in present day. Because media already speculate about them being cannibals...so why are they so worried in the present day about telling their stories? Most likely because they eat the baby.
Callie is definitely not the baby shauna was pregnant with in the wilderness. She’s too young.
Can't believe some of these crazy brilliant theories! 🤯 I'm so much more invested. Thank you! 🤩
this show has top tier acting for real
Sir next time they speak French or any other language please google the meaning. The quality of your reaction dropped so much when you said it meant 'it's good for you' 🙃
As Lottie pointed out last week, it's Heliotrope, which is a pink-purple tint. So not a pure purple hue, but closer to Lilac which is a soft, pale shade of purple.
As far as the necklace goes there’s LOTS of heart imagery in the show all throughout. So I feel it’s significant, I just don’t know how yet but I think it has to do with sacrifice.
Did you notice Misty wears a gold heart on a chain necklace at the reunion?
@@uberliner503 I thought the pop of red of the pocket was symbolic of hearts or queen of hearts. That Misty was wearing.
I really loved that end theory 🤩 cheers from Tegucigalpa Honduras 💙🤍
This second season gets better with every passing episode.
Could it be that lottie sees the coming baby as a potential new queen and decides to kill it to make the island provide for the girls somehow?
Wait, just realized the baby is going to be a boy. Doh
@@spineknife2386 Did I miss the Sonogram?
@@TangoNevada I was just going on the prediction one of the girls (I think lottie but am not certain) had made turning out to be true.
Crystal not being real makes sense because how in the world was she not singing all the time before? She said in the first episode that she couldn't help herself. She would have been as annoying and nobody noticed? It would also make me glad if this is true, because the writing of her introduction and the other "new" girls was god awful :D
i can see that
If Lottie's wellness retreat is the same location as the crash site, then it's changed a lot because you can see a town in the background
No, the retreat is in NY and they crashed somewhere deep in Canada
@Mariela lara I know they crashed in Canada, I'm just pointing out that if it was somehow the same place it's not still isolated wilderness. I think people are expecting that they're still fully isolated and Natalie won't be able to leave
Cant wait to see what season 2 has in stored for us.. getting more & more interesting
18:00 the bear heart sacrifice has already happened. It is the tree Natalie notices is still green, regardless of the snow.
I'm another clip out there it shows a bowl in the cabin with water from the leaking roof. So the dripping was there.
I believe in the "two queen theory" as one queen is Lottie and other Queen is Shawna as it looks like they are having the baby in a way and in the end of scene of the episode 03 birds fall off the camera angle is such that "we see 2 main girls bow in front Lottie and in other main girl who is standing besides Lottie is Shawna at 53:42
Ngl that miasma theory is pretty smart. Would explain all of them going so goddamn crazy, just look what that kind of thing did to the Greeks
I think the show makes it purposely ambiguous. It could all be supernatural as much as it could be reasonely explained like the mine theory, mental illness or simply coincidences. And I don't think it's supposed to matter either. It's all an illustration of trauma and instinct
Things are heating up and cooling down all at once in Yellowjackets XD
fr 😂
the voice that speaks french said "elle veut du sang" which translate to "she wants blood"
I didn't get the mask reference in Tai's reflection, or what it said. Thank you
she has to find Adult Van
I’m really hoping they don’t just make every episode a bunch of questions and never answers.
love this video and this show and i think its just getting better natalie is my favorite but what a great break down
I could hear the dripping Mari mentioned 💦 in your clip but don't even remember it from the episode. Maybe it's on sound level only people in their late 30s can hear.
I hope we find out what happened to javi soon.
Me too
Only because im so tired of some of the ridiculous theories
Javi is the new detective working Kevin Tan, He also stole their mini van, He was the guy using the die grinder in the garage. Javi is inevitable.
Abandoned mines can become huge reservoirs for geothermal heat, which could explain why no hotsprings are seen in areas of melted snow.
They were bitching at her for singing an humming when misty wasn’t even near her.
@@highjinx6519 Did you make it to the part where I said "And even if they did"? Read the rest.
I think you’re right
Dripping noise theory…
What if it was some sort of old gas leak from the house, which emitted into the sky above and killed the birds, and also caused Shauna’s nose bleed? That would be the *logical* thing but with everyone buying so much into Lotti being some sort of chosen one they would of course believe it to have a supernatural meaning.
But not everyone buys Lotties "wicca crap".
@@blackdandelion5549 correct, mainly meant it as a figure of speech since there are those who obviously don’t
I believe that it’s foreshadowing when Mari made that crazy spike crib mobile for the baby I believe that's why Mari is the only one hearing the dripping sounds...it's the sound she is going to make on those spikes.
I wish Shauna had simply told Kevin yes Adam and I had an affair. I tried to hide it because I didn’t want Jeff to be a suspect.
Then she would have a motive which she did
I KNEW ONE OF THE TAISSAS do talk . There is one that doesn’t talk the more feral one … which is why i think we can’t hear it ,
"Il veut du sang" = He wants blood
Loving this show and these recaps!
The symbol is from s2e4 of supernatural. It's titled "children shouldn't play with the dead" and the symbol is on a ancient Greek book of necromancy.
I think it was Key and Peele
@@tonyabrookes9931 7 oh ok it was funny lol
Zendaya has some competition this year. Her name is Melanie Lynskey who plays older Shauna. Melanie is one of the best actresses I've ever seen. She will be getting an Oscar in her future. Remember where you heard it.
I thought they said Il veut du sang. 'He wants blood' ~
The necklace could also symbolize a loss.
Love your analysis of Shauna and Jackie
I think the underground theory is very plausible & makes sense for Javis peculiar disappearance & all the moss growth 😱
I love the Tori Amos
Couldn't have dropped this at a more perfect time - just finished ep3!! Great summary series for Yellowjackets + really appreciate all the details included Jared :D
Hey guys? Where is Javi? Why don’t they clarify it yet?
What was Nat right about In Travis’s note to Nat from back at his house?
"li veut du sang" in French means : he wants blood
“Il veut de sang,” is what Lottie hears, French for “He wants blood,”. The question is who is “he”? The man with no eyes?
If they honestly explain everything with “they’re tripping balls” I’m calling this show a mistake. They’ve had way too much weird shit happen to wave it away with that.
Theory: Lottie is not or was not always the Antler Queen… it’s Tai!
i can see that
I believe that there is more than 1 Queen.
Excellent insights! ❤
The voice says: il veut du sang, he wants blood
