This is a very different experience me to get interviewed by Stacey but you guys wanted these episodes and now you have them. We go over a lot of important voiceover demo production details and how/what we do to help voice actors get to the top of their career! We had a blast recording these videos for you so I hope you dig them! :)
This is wild! The next insane idea will see us watching you interview your Earth-3 dopplegangers.
J.E. Burton Voiceover LOL 😂
I can't tell you how much I appreciate Stacey asking Chuck about NOT being ready to record a demo. I truly believe you both are hugely ethical and honest in your business practices. I did a little coaching with a Toronto V/O artist/coach who quickly suggested having my demo done and then getting out there to find an agent. I now realize I was not ready in the least to spend $800.00 to do this :( I also had no luck in finding an agent. (By the way, I sent my demo to Chuck, who kindly listened to it and still gave good feedback!). ~~LOVE~~
Keep persevering 🤗great feedback.
Rose Petal thank you for your kind words and great comment! 👍❤️👍
Another fantastic show. I love seeing the friendship of Jess and Chuck, listening to how they have helped each other and have such a long history. Chucks comment about helping people making the work so gratifying. Yes. Yes. Yes. A life of service to others is a life well lived.
Thank you 🙏 and perfectly said Anna.
@@vobuzzweekly Not sure why I can only hit like and not a heart.
Chuck, kudos for actually asking and listening to agents about their needs! I need to do this for my clients in regards to what agents want to hear in the audio processing for auditions, too!
George The Tech right on George!
A demo with Chuck is pretty much my bucket list! Can't wait for part two. FWIW, I've reached out to Chuck and he DID get back to me very quickly and was VERY encouraging. I'm new but working toward my Demo That Rocks right now. 😃
Thank you for your time in this video , I can't wait for part 2 , thanks
Angie68 👍
I'm SOOoooo behind on my Chuck & Stacey videos...but SOoooo glad I saw part 1 today! Wow, you guys. I love that you're just so down to Earth and REAL...and this was amazingly helpful. Have an incredible holiday. I gotta run---time to watch PART 2.
Jc Haze haha! Thank you for your very cool comment!!
Great info! Thank you so much!
re-watching these amazing youtube' videos that rock in between sessions and I sit in wonder looking at how far weve come over the past 3 years. love you guys!
As always, solid information from Chuck. Really appreciate you getting in the other chair. Got to give props to Stacey for the great cook to restaurant analogy as well . Never heard that one before but it's perfect to the "oh you have a great voice so...."
Don Garrison lol thank you for the cool comment! 👍
Hurray, you're back! And with the perfect interview guest! Happy you got a production break, happy that you're back.
Gary Ericson 👍👍 thank you
So great to see a new episode (and especially one that’s a totally different approach)! I’ve missed my weekly “fix”!
David Wandelt 👍❤️👍
This interview is gold. I have a strong feeling the majority of any thumbs down are from people who have been gently turned down by Chuck. Those folks shouldn’t take it personally. Chuck is looking out for you by making sure you’re able to bring your best, but also making sure you don’t over promise with an amazing demo. If you do that and can’t deliver when you step up to the mic, it’s bad for your career. Chuck and Stacey are looking out for you. True story.
VO TECH GURU Thanks for the really cool comment and observation Tim! I’ll take a thumbs up or down over no thumbs at all any day!! Lol You rock bud!
VO Buzz Weekly Deserved!
@2:10 -2:50 is the foundation for all watching this, period. Thank you for this interview.🤗🤗
Coffee Now 👍👍
SO glad to see you both back! I have been jonesing for a BUZZ in the worst way!!!
Have My Word VO 👍❤️👍
AMAZING!!!! Love you guys! So cool to get the low down on how you work. Your Positive passion is very inspiring!
Johnny B Thank you ver much. :)
Chuck and Stacy, absolutely fantastic and informative. Love your work ethic and knowledge of the industry. Plus you two are a sweet couple. You guys really do ‘ROCK!’
Lee Bartlett thank you very much 👍👍
Rock and roll dudes and dudettes!
I've been on a quest to iron out my VO as I'm recording my new demos soon, then you post this, coincidence? I think...Not.
From legendary Dave Fennoy, now here XD
OCUBOX haha! Very cool!!
Yes, I love the boots, but What does it say on Chuck's shirt? BFLO?? Buffalo, NY?
Katherine Curriden lol. BFLO is a clothing line. :)
VO Buzz Weekly ok...🤦♀️since I’m originally from there, I need one....and a new demo too, I might add😉
Yes guys !
Love this! Keep it on🎉
19Stride thank you.
Phenomenal interview!! Who is this rock star? I feel like I've heard of this "Chuck Duran" before?! one thing that sticks out to me is this, I was told that "if you don't know if you are ready for a demo, then you aren't." Is that always true or do some actors just have a hard time accepting "Im good enough!" so in the actors mind, they are never good enough? even when they are and how do you assess the specific need of the actor? whether it be, more training, more self confidence or just a shift in technique? Me personally, i don't always like my true speaking voice, my natural baritone to bass voice doesn't sound like Joe from next door (in regards to commercial reads) and i sound congested at times (in my opinion LOL) thanks for always providing the goods! Stacey took it easy on you bud!
Anthony Martin_AM lol thank for the great comment brother! That’s why it’s important to work with a reputable coach. When you’re ready they’ll tell you. I can assess someone’s abilities right away so once they get to me I’m able to definitely guide them in the right direction! 👍
@@vobuzzweekly fantastic my brother! My voice in my head, sometimes contradicts what I have been told in session. One very reputable director said im great when Im not in my head lol and 2 working actors that happen to coach, have told me that the read I just gave is bookable right now! Now, do something more challenging... so there are definitely layers to this thing that we love! two years ago I was a wide eyed pup eager to start my journey... im still that same eager pup, just the play area has expanded. You guys rock!
I want you to do my demo so I can get a mug :) Good information for reflection
Does his name have anything to do with "Duran, Duran" the song?
lol no it doesn’t but his name is Chuck Duran.
I’ve been waiting for this video!! Thanks you two!
NoName Valdivia You are very welcome! 👍
Are you planning to get Jodi Benson on the show since The Little Mermaid is turning 30 years old?
Jonny Boy thanks for the suggestion!
@@vobuzzweekly Its how I roll.
My name is stacey
You both are cute as punch!
Ahuh ahuh....what about those boots?
DC Voices Stacey has style for sure!!
@@vobuzzweekly Do they come in size 11 U.K....asking for a friend.
