Hey everyone. Victorinox has recently released the Heritage lineup. Lots of colorways to choose from, including some PVD models, but one thing remains the same with all of them, simple, clean, and rugged. Starting at $300, is the vintage look enough to make you grab one, or would you prefer something more? Sound off in the comments below.

Actually a great looking watch. Specifically the case shape and brushing. I wish Victorinox had more automatic offerings.

Nice basic Victorinox and Usually a good price can be found. I appreciate that Victorinox pretty much always delivers 100m water resistance and a sapphire.

I finally pulled the trigger on this purchase. It's in transit. My biggest fear is that it will be too big for my skinny wrists.

I have the luck of finding a new old stock original swiss army watch you showed on bracelet. It is a beauty.

I usually like this type of watch but something about this one that puts me off, thinking probably the price.

Here we are a year later, and the variety in the line seems to be contracting, not expanding. Last night I bought the black one on a strap, found it on Amazon; but finding any of these elsewhere is getting to be a challenge.

Interesting. Maybe these didn’t do well and they are phasing them out for new models. 🤷‍♂️

Good review, on models that feel pretty confidential right now. Two remarks though :
    - I'd like to put the emphasis on the fact the Heritage watches are, at the moment, North America only. Thus, probably, the limited bracelet options. Maybe they're awaiting to see how things go before widening the options and audience ?
    - Those 40 mm are quite significant choice, since the Fieldforce that occupied that place were 42. We've also seen 40 mm Alliance watches towards the end of 2021, so maybe those are the initial signs of a roll back towards medium sizes for Victorinox.
Anyway, thanks for sharing ! =D

I got a stupid question... I just received this watch and I turned the crown in the wrong way when setting the date, which made a little *tic* and nothing else happened. I'm worried about it and I wonder if that could've hurt the mechanism? Great video by the way!

    • @watchreport

You should be ok. Doing it once shouldn’t affect it, but check it by rolling through date properly and then do a full 24 hour spin of the hands to make sure it advances the date with no issue.
Doing it repeatedly (going the wrong way), could break the lever that advances the date wheel but once you should be ok. 👍

$300 for a quartz watch? Oof.

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport  2 года назад +2

They have others at $600 with quartz, and Marathon sells quite a few quartz watches at $8-$900 just as an example.

IMO, this is a poor implementation of the classic US armed services general service field watch. And, it is overpriced. VAER makes a better product in this category.
