Gute Arbeit 👍. Happy New Year Steve.
Thanks for sharing!❤ Thankfully, working on an international space shuttle spares you from dealing with cat messes. Just saying, though, there’s always the possibility of encountering your own-or even your colleague’s-floating waste in the weightlessness of space.
That mechanism is full with embedded screw threads in the metal, I don´t want to imagine what if one of those threads gets cross-threaded. God bless Steve.
I lost my struggle with my Whirlpool washing machine! Now I get the 'How Ya doing' on new one, delivery, and pick up! bUT i did best research I could. Only in America! Our old buddy bioslime!
Another great job Steve although i cannot understand why some people allow their cellars to get into such a terrible state with junk all around the boiler, no desent lighting and in this case Cat poo on the floor. I'm very surprised you haven't caught any illness by now. I know some people rent their homes but that is no excuse not to take pride in your home.very brave man.
Thanks a lot ❤ Can you advise me which filter I buy from Amazon for oil boiler? please.. we are using (mazout) I don't know if it's the same in English)
Someone needs to make a Steve Lav bingo card: Bio slime Phone call while working Screws loose mama Laugh at his own joke Hyper allogenic bullshit filters Crusty one Puffy cap Yells at customer Customer yells at him Shitter cam Smurf juzum I got one in the truck Good enough for this neighborhood Live eels Cobwebs from hell
So is it the water in the bio slime that ruins the bearin? Like a diesel is partially self lubricating because of the nature of the oil? I'm ignorant on it. Take care!
It's probably a cheap sealed bearing. Can't oil it. Diesel is abrasive and wears the nozzle. That's why Steve replaces the nozzle with annual maintenance.
I miss my Pensotti Furnace with the Riello… yes… motor bearings are a thing… and get replaced during routine service… but demand heater with low total system capacity… damned near instant heat… and ultra low fuel oil consumption in New England… win win…
It amazes me that the lazy home owners left all those cat turds right in the work zone . If I had to call in professionals, I’d have the floor spotless, extra lights put in place and so on.
Hey Steve, how are you doing? Yeah, definitely a packet. Looks a lot more pleasant to work on that this thing wow that's a shit show. Happy new year, buddy.
That Foreign Riello thing is nothing but headaches! To get it apart to change just a motor and get it all back together again! Beckett or Carlin, and maybe a couple others, that's all I'll touch!
What a PIA. Talk about service unfriendly and laying in the cat shit to boot. This just shows why it's an hourly rate per job. The other brand it's 2bolts and 2 wires, done. This was more like rocket surgery.
Another Italian Made P.O.S. just like the Fiat, You guys are not pumping out quality products. I'll take a Beckett any day. The motor would changed out in 10 minuets.
It'll be a long time before Italian will be as shite as American produced shite . If you're feeding shitty fuel into it and never changing filters anything is going to fail . Riello burners are generally very reliable .
@brianburns7211 Beckett AFGs/AFs/SRs/CFs some have a fixed head, the adjustable head only works in a specific range of firing rates. Then there is the NX which is totally different. Carlin uses the same head across the entire range, just change the head bar to set the firing rate. At one point Carlin was making a 2 stage residential burner, the EZ-H2L. Unfortunately they were only selling it to manufacturers who went through their program. The motor control, special pump, and primary are still available and can be retrofitted to any EZ series burner. Pretty cool stuff and works really nicely on a steam boiler where you can use high fire to bring the system up to pressure, and drop to low fire to maintain pressure. Carlin is my favorite, I'd say, Beckett can be OK depending on the model and application, and Riello can also be OK but the BF series like this one absolutely suck with that big cast aluminum box. My mother's house has a 1969 Beckett SR on a Metromatic furnace. It's retrofitted with a Carlin 70200 control, delayed oil valve, etc. Never has a single issue and is super quiet with the 1725 RPM motor but still an efficient flame retention burner.
That was indeed like working on the Space Shuttle! Awesome job Steve!!!
I was just thinking how many times you have said it isn't rocket science... here you go doing rocket science. LOL!

I felt like I was watching how sausage is made. I enjoyed watching all the work involved and appreciate it.
Great video steve. ❤
I like these unexpected problems, you have definitely earned my respect many times over for your knowledge.
Nice job Steve all parts in the truck, you know your burners….what a pain in the A-s.
Good repair and you found the missing screw. You got lucky with that squirrel cage. Sometimes those can be tough to remove without a puller.
Thanks for sharing!❤

As always great job Steve you and Molly have a happy New Year and May the new year bring you good health and wealth

HAPPY NEW YEAR STEVE!!
Happy new year Steve
“It’s like working on the space shuttle” made me chuckle
The fine dust from the cat litter kills the bearings in the motor. Nice job. Too bad about the GD cat shit. Happy New Year Steve.
Good job Steve........
Happy New Year!
Its quiet now. ❤❤❤
Thanks a lot ❤

El Skin the human shop rag :-) Fire it up!
Rocket scientist. LOL with ya steve. That's a Bucyrus crane.
Nice Fix!
Curious if you still have the black 67 chevelle SS
Shit show happy new years to you and ms molly❤😂🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hey Steve what do you do with all your john deere tractors? Your backyard is not that big
Howdy Steve and Miss Molly. Happy New Year 2025
I thought you hired Elkskin as an assistant for a minute. Fire it up ...
Elkskin I believe from “Taryl fixes all” 😬
I was wondering is anyone else caught that. Hahah. Exactly what I was thinking he has been watching Taryl
Perfect 👌
Where did you buy this oil panfry? I want one just like that!
Not designed with the serviceman in mind.
Someone needs to make a Steve Lav bingo card:
Bio slime
Phone call while working
Screws loose mama
Laugh at his own joke
Hyper allogenic bullshit filters
Crusty one
Puffy cap
Yells at customer
Customer yells at him
Shitter cam
Smurf juzum
I got one in the truck
Good enough for this neighborhood
Live eels
Cobwebs from hell
And lack of maintenance
Oh and, "This ain't the Taj Mahal!"
And dumb dumb
It's got some fckn schmag on the end
“She’s a leaker”
i like the beckett burner better.
I would replace the fuel pump as well they leak from the shaft seal and dry out the motors bearings
Nothing like Kroil.
I had an O2 sensor in my truck that wouldn’t come out. The Kroil worked wonders. It’s saved me a few other times too.
Free all is pretty good
It’s saved me a few times, like the O2 sensor on my truck that wouldn’t come out.
Nice 👍 work ..

Change the motor bearings I have done quite a few of them. A set of bearings is about 20 dollars.
Is there to make money
With inflation hardly 20. More like fifty these days.
Sure not as easy as Beckett, my neighbor is a HR person at the Beckett co. In North Ridgeville Ohio! A family owned co!
parts for oil burners in the UK are very cheap in comparison to parts for modern gas boilers. That motor would be about $90 & a nozzle about $10
Hey Steve, how are you doing? Yeah, definitely a packet. Looks a lot more pleasant to work on that this thing wow that's a shit show. Happy new year, buddy.
4 armchair plumber's so far.
Hello Steve
About $150 for a Riello motor, add his markup.. couple hunnit and uh haff
Morning to you Steve and molly another great repair
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again ya’ll. 👍👍
❤
I'd charged extra having to deal with the cat poop. Makes the job that much harder and aggravating.
That was slimier than the usual slimy bio-slime.
That Foreign Riello thing is nothing but headaches! To get it apart to change just a motor and get it all back together again! Beckett or Carlin, and maybe a couple others, that's all I'll touch!
Exactly....somebody sold him a "Piece of Crap "..LoL
Glad I dont burn oil 😮 bio- slim 😂 I burn Natural gas in my Boiler & Wood in my Woodstove 😊!
eso es, bio slime 😂
Got to love a beckett
What a PIA. Talk about service unfriendly and laying in the cat shit to boot. This just shows why it's an hourly rate per job. The other brand it's 2bolts and 2 wires, done. This was more like rocket surgery.
It's a Shame that The BioSlume don't work better. It used 3o make the old Truck run Good on The Beverly Hillbillies.
"If Steve can do it", what then?
I heard Mikey Pipes uses a PDF FIle system to invoice his customers
Mikey Pipes would have suggested a new heating system!
@ yeah with a $500 trip charge
One extra bump after the screw is tight. Always. Ya’ll ever notice that? Funny
Yep odd sorta hehe
Why do he use pliers instead of a wrench?
I'd be lost without my adjustable wrench, or my box wrenches....
Should be a auto tech same BS
All oil burners should be made by Beckett. 😂😂😂
How many Becket motors could you have changed to that one Riello. Eight😂😂🤣🤣
Another Italian Made P.O.S. just like the Fiat, You guys are not pumping out quality products. I'll take a Beckett any day. The motor would changed out in 10 minuets.
Didn't fiat buy out Chrysler?
@@suekotchevar2765yes
Becket and Carlin are both almost identical.

hate those motors big pain!!
the guy has zero people skills and all the knowledge. 100% would hire
The way he acts is a new England thing it seems. They have a different way of interacting with others lol.
Steve: show me yur chrstmas tree. Or yur daughters. Ill show u mine!
This is why I will NEVER buy a Riello PIA to work on..
That's not a very good idea for pump and fan setup wow
Where's The GISM Juice MAMA?
It's not a beckett... Try working on cars for 1 day that's a flippin chit show. You don't have it as bad as you think.
First comment yippee
nobody cares
Tryin to figurevout how to post pic of christmas tree without success! Happy christmas and joyuex 2p25
