AIRLINE - Entitled Couple Miss Flight!

- (From Season 4, Episode 6 of Airline)
A couple travelling to Nice in France miss their flight because of the busy car park outside. Maybe they should have left earlier?
"We've missed a whole day because of your inconsideration." - Why does going to an airport make 90% of the population turn into idiots? A plane will wait for no one! Don't blame the staff.
It was nice though that they apologised afterwards.
Thoughts?
"We've missed a whole day due to your inconsideration"
No, you've missed a whole day due to YOUR incompetence.
I absolutely love that they didn’t get their way. Arrogance is disgusting.
@@NotoriusCrank They didn’t get there on time! You are told to be there between 1.5-2 hours early. The plane was loaded and the doors were closed. They were not only late…they were VERY late! Read the rest of the comments. Especially the Pilot’s.
@@NotoriusCrank - Apparently you don't think reading is important. ALL of this information is POSTED on everything you get. Do your parents know they raised someone that thinks people don't have to follow RULES???????? smdh
@@ccrow9147 - NotoriousCrank is another one that can't read and comprehend the rules of the road when posted on what to do, where to go and HOW early you should be AT THE GATE. Not in the parking lot.
@@NotoriusCrank Do you think the airline controls the parking?
@@NotoriusCrank are you even serious?! if a bus closes its doors at my busstop in order to drive off then I'm not allowed on it....this is a PLANE.
“It is easy if you get here on time”
Love that
Lolz
Well it is
perfect answer
And as they said "We did!"
As a retired pilot, these people have no idea. They think it's like jumping on a bus.
The public generally has not idea how air traffic works. They do not understand that a plane is not allowed to take off until there is a place for that plane in the stream bound for the particular destination, nor is the plane allowed to take off until there is room for it to land at its intended destination.
I well remember the days when I first started flying, more than half a century ago, when planes were put in the air and might, at their destinations, have to circle for an hour or more in a holding stack before there was an opportunity to land them. That never happens now, but it depends on the planes getting away from the gate on time, meaning ON TIME.
Once I tried to jump on a coach and they said I need to check in first and check in was closed they treated it like a bloody plane lol. Next time I arrived early and they said oh we don't bother with check in anymore just get on
I sort of get where this couple is coming from though. They did make it to the terminal before the plane was due to leave. Yes, I agree they should have planned on arriving earlier - I'd rather get to the airport and have a cup of tea or a coffee and read a book or magazine, but if they arrived before the plane was due to depart they shouldn't be denied boarding.
@@NotoriusCrank Louis C Gasper highlights one problem but in addition the ground handling agent has to produce a completed loading sheet accounting for every kg of weight. This means that the gate needs to be closed to allow this to happen. There has to be cut-off time at check-in unfortunately for the tardy travellers. They still have to get through airport security and down to the gate anyway. It's a nonstarter even though the aircraft appears to just be sitting there. The doors need to be closed and the aircraft ready on-time for it's pushback clearance.
@@NotoriusCrank garbage
Jane is a fabulous supervisor. She is polite yet firm with the passengers .
She's probably this polite on a bad day.
That;s what she said!
Jane is a rockstar!!!
I loved the eye-roll as she turned to walk away.
@@geoffreywilton8610 I just seen it. Love it!
I will never understand how the airline representative remained so calm and so professional in the face of this sort of stupidity.
Yes pretty to sorry I’m rambling but she was ❤️🤪
Because she deals with it all the time. She calls them in inefficient actually they are incompetent .
“Because if their inefficiency, we’ve missed our flight.” Damn that made my blood boil. YOU. WERE. LATE.
Haha. Would that be the inefficiency that gets flights away on time?
I believe she's talking about the inefficiency at the car park, which strictly she should've accounted, but it's still pretty rubbish.
@Rattenhoofd
Won't take responsibility.....likely that every mishap, delay etc in their lives is someone else's fault
They meant the parking situation, which the easyjet attendent herself said was terrible
It is never their fault. As my friend used to say, "Lack of planning on their part doesn't make it an emergency on my part."
I will steal this. 😎
That's a great quote
I invented that quote about 15 years ago and it has made its way around the globe.
@@gulfbreeze76 well great minds think alike!!!! The guy I got this from said it to my new-hire class in 1994. I guess both of you were inspired. It really had a big impact on all of us and I am sure it does for everyone you say it too also.
Love that
"It is easy, if you get here on time." Hahahahahaha, I love Jane.
Noah Sanders me too lol. She always speaks the truth.
Tell'Em Steve Dave.
She is savage!
It was easy for all the other passengers who got here on time and are now on the plane going on holiday 😂
Seeing how entitled they are, brings joy to my heart that they missed their flight.
🤣🤣🤣👌
Except that it is a television show. Those are actors in a script. This isn't real
@Gooner71 It's the new brand of reality television.
Do you really think those people would have not behaved themselves with all of those camera crews around completely ignoring the cameras and acting like entitled fools?
It fools a lot of people. It's designed to. That's not real. Those are actors doing a script to get the exact result that you are giving them.
@Gooner71 You've been living with this with this new reality television stuff for almost 20 years. It's all good, enjoy and be outraged if you want. But That never happened . it wasn't real.
Agreed 100%.Special custoners, a 4 day holiday? At their age if they were special they should be able to afford a scheuled flight and spend a couple of weeks abroad. They are rubbish and got their just desserts.
I love how she isn't putting up with any of their shit
Correction _the passengers are the shit
So I guess the passengers want the plane to turn around, go back to the gate, load their crap and delay the flight just because they didn't allow themselves enough time to be their on time. People like this never realize the impact of delaying the plane can have. It delays everything even more. The passengers who DID get there in time may miss their connections , boats, trains, etc. They may have to be delayed for several days depending on the next open space. Plus the added expenses. They may miss that special event (wedding, graduation, even last chance before death of loved one). But somehow it is only the late people's desires that matter. They never consider the (sometimes hundreds of) others' plans or even the crew not making it to the next flight they are supposed to be on.
This Couple is not giving shyt They Are Crying shyt!!
We need more workers like that in today’s society.
1:15 “… we’ve only got 4 days, we’re going to miss a whole day BECAUSE OF YOUR INCONSIDERATION”
lmao great job projecting her personal responsibility onto someone else!
Plus side - the hotel was only 13 percent away from the beach front. But they were 10 percent dissatisfied with the accommodation. The miserable precise witch is 25 percent short; financially and in stature.
She turns up late, argues and then actually says '...because of their inefficiency we've missed our flight...'
I mean, good lord the hypocrisy and irony is just overwhelming. I've got nothing but sympathy for Airline & Airport workers, they do a bloody hard job that has to be tightly and efficiently coordinated and then have to deal with stressed out people who may or may not speak the same language as them and who have no respect for them.
If I worked at one of those desks, I would try to get some sort of mouth spray that would give me the worst-smelling bad breath imaginable and then talk loudly and up close to these rude twits.
Aw you was late and missed your flight. ? Tough s..t.
I personally would be keeping all the video footage of this and anymore like it.
And then come every Autumn I would compile it onto a DVD or a Blu-ray and sell it for £10 each.
It would make for hilarious comedy to watch in between Christmas and New Year.
I would be sure and thank each and every passenger for their participation in the video, and make sure that their names were spelled correctly in the closing credits and the annual video would be entitled IDIOTS R US.
That job dealing with obnoxious passengers must be exhausting
The best part is that they saw the plane leave
Nicholas McSam classic words 👏😂😂😂
Could have been like the film final destination!
So true.
Best part is that they get this to video.
Hahahaha. Good one!
Everytime me and my husband go on holiday if it's an airport far away then we travel the day before and stay in a airport hotel. Gives us peace of mind and knowing we are there and ready to go.
We are travelling from our local airport for the first time next year but will leave extra early just incase of any delays in traffic etc.
I do the same with taking Cunard QM2 to the US from Southampton: arrive a day early and relax knowing I'm only a few very minutes from the terminal.
We are late but we are special, the other ordinary passengers that got here on time should be made to wait on the tarmac and become late so we can get on the plane.
Wow, to be called inconsiderate and still carry herself so professionally. And she’s gorgeous
2.27 - You cant be pregnant in the mouth.
“It is easy if you get here on time” BOOOM MIC DROP
EasyJet employees get training on comebacks so that they can do the worst possible service.
@@louisbryant2302 "so they can do the worst possible service" oh give over. They aren't even the worst of the budget airlines - and all those airlines have cheap flights and generally professional staff. Get over yourself!
@Lewis Bryant. You think this is the worst possible service? Maybe you could do their job better then. Enjoy.
@@consideredthoughts1791how? I was saying the opposite. The other commenter was complaining, not me.
@@cscscsc Sorry CS, my comment was directed at them not you.
that woman actually blamed Jeanine's "inconsideration" ...
bet that couple's fun at a party 😂
I can't believe your inconsideration. It's your fault I spilled red wine on my own dress. You've ruined my £3 Primark dress.
Offering to put them on a later flight "free of charge", that's already pretty generous. If I had the authority to do so, I'd only offer that to passengers who weren't rude to me or my colleagues.
agreed. i don't work for an airline but I'm guessing the problem is though the entitled customers will potentially no longer fly with the airline and write bad reviews about them, while the nice customers will accept it was their fault and leave it.
i guess its (sadly) in the interests of the airline to appease entitled customers, so this may be the instructions they give to their staff.
I don't know where you live, but it's actually a law in europe to give money back for missed flight's (no matter who's fault it is) or eventually give the free ticket to another flight if trawellers accept it. And for example if the flight is 6 hours or more late, you get your money back while keeping the ticket for free. In USA it's quite the opposite I imagine, whole system is built to do everything to keep the customers money in any possible way which is horrendous!
mudza92 it’s not the law at all
@The secular humanist well offcourse, they wont give you money back if the plane flew away and you were netflix and chill at home and missed your flight.
@@mudza92 Guess you could delete that earlier tweet where you were 100% wrong then!
I actually knew that couple. He was incredibly embarrassed about his behaviour that day. Needless to say, I took great pleasure in regularly bringing up the topic of their TV appearance.
I bet he's only embarrassed because it's on tv, if it hadn't I bet he would still be running the airline into the ground to anybody that would listen.
Tell him I said he looked like a pompous ass.
@@donotryon9389 actually I honestly don’t think that to be the case.
Yes people aren’t at their best in these moments
Good to hear.
I know someone who works for an airline dispatches, he said the reason they don't allow people on after check-in closes is because the dispatch team needs to create a load sheet once check in closes which is a calculation of weight, balance, etc. If you allow people on who didn't check in on time then all of this needs to be recalculated, which delays the plane for everyone who arrived on time. It's not a bus, you can't just hop on and off while it's waiting.
I worked for SWA as a ramper. All of this, spot on.
Remember the Lockerbie bomb - the suitcase went on and the passenger did not. Another element to consider.
Entitled bloke - you’re supposed to make it EASY, it says EASYjet!!
Jane - it IS easy if you get here on time before the check-in closes!!
Well said Jane 😂😂😂
One of the biggest annoyances when I worked in customer service for an airline. “But the plane is still there”... why does anyone think it’s that easy?
The paperwork, bag securing, more paperwork, security checks etc take up a lot of time and adding an extra passenger would mean redoing it. A plane cannot simply wait 15 minutes for a doddering couple to get on who arrived late! The air traffic is so strict about setting off on time.
It can't even wait for an energetic young couple who arrived late. Nor can it wait for a woman who must get to Nice to see her dying mother if she arrived late.
@@billolsen4360 no. Because of your circumstances doesn’t make you special. The people on the plane who arrived on time shouldn’t have to wait. It doesn’t matter what your circumstances are you arrive on time. Life is tough we all have a story to tell
People don’t realise, and of course are full of adrenaline having sprinted from the car park/ taxi/Heathrow or wherever. Nowadays it’s clearer, says everywhere to be a couple of hours early.
Tell them how much it costs to delay and miss take off slot and ask if they'll pay it. That'd shut em up.
"We've missed a whole day because of your inconsideration."
No, you've missed a whole day because of your own incompetence in planning a trip.
1:35 - what an eyeroll!
lol 😂😂
Luv her eyeroll
And the walk afterwards
It was actually at 01:37 -🙄
I took my wife for her flight at Manchester 3.5 hrs before her flight last week. Thank goodness I did 1. Queue to weigh bags 2. Another Queue to check in 3. Another Queue to take your luggage. 4. Yet another Queue for Security! We did not get annoyed at this chaotic system, we just followed directions and quietly obeyed the system. Now we are always very early for flights. If we miss a flight it is our own fault and take whatever they give us to help us with good manners and appreciation involved. Being nice gets you far more, with the guys at Airports. Being moany and arsey gets you nowhere.
If the plane had already taken off would they expect the pilot to turn round and come and get them
Are You that STUPID???!! Of course not, they were late and no pilot will turn around to pick up a pair Of Idiots.
Piontro Pechetrini your the idiot for not knowing when he's asking a rhetorical question.
Reality Check Exactly
Tfw you have an IQ lower than that of a pea
Wooosh.
As an employee, she must secretly have some sense of happiness that they will miss their flight when they act like this. I know I would.
I think the problem is that people think planes are like a bus or train, in that if it's physically there then they can just waltz on. way more goes into it than that.
Jane was an absolute stone wall 🧱 nobody ever got the better of her in nearly 10 years of episodes
And people say millennials are entitled.
Even the least intelligent Millennials aren’t as stupid as these idiots.
Alas, so is “old money “ lol!
Middle class lefties of any age are entitled. Those are the problem people
They are
@J P usually one generation learns or it isn't taught from the previous one(s).
"The pilot says you can board if you're willing to ride on the wing. We'll try to send your luggage along in a few days."
This is why no airline will hire me for customer relations...
Jane is such a legend, love how she handles these idiots
You arrive 2 hours early, get checked in, read a book, get a cup of coffee.
I have never missed a flight.
You missed the flight because of your inefficiencies, not the airline. Next time get your arse to the airport early.....
All very simple, Ive only ever missed a flight once and it was my fault get there early and you wont have problems
At 1:15--"We're going to miss a whole day because of your inconsideration." OMG, wifey, you just killed any consideration from anybody at that airport (and she's oblivious.)
Wonder if she's dead now. The nursing home are not going out of their way with her.
My mum makes sure we're at the airport 4 hours ahead just in case anything happens.😅
You have a very conscientious mum!
Same lol
Your mum is absolutely spot on
Smart choice👍It's best to be there early than miss a flight.
Plus avation geeks like me can watch the planes and try and identify the aircraft type .
Transferred free of charge to the next flight. I’d say take it! Don’t get that anymore!! 😅😅
You want to go to a store before it closes at 9:00. You hit traffic and you walk up to the door at 9:00. The doors are locked, but the lights are on and you see employees still inside. You knock on the door, and an employee tells you they’re closed. “Why can’t you let me in? You’re still there! The lights are on! I just want to come in! You can’t be done already!”
Thats what the boarding time for a plane is like. It’s like closing time. They have to adhere to a schedule, and even though it seems unfair because you SEE the aircraft and the staff right there, they cannot break their protocol because of your personal emergency.
broadwaymelody33 yeah, Plus passengers accepted will delay the aircraft until the next slot which has to be ok for both ends and might not be for some hours.
Well said
“But we were here on time!” With a plane full of people who were more on time than them.
"Early" is on time.
"On time" is late.
"The plane is still sitting there"
What do people who say this think? They talk about planes as if it's a car. You just hop in and you're off?
"I'll tell you what, If you can make it on the plane, you're free to take that flight. Now we've already pulled back the stairs and they've shut and locked the door, but maybe you can climb the wheel before it takes off, so good luck NOW RUN GO!"
This might be the first time an airline was ever accused of inefficiency for departing ON time.
🤣🤣🤣
"I paid for the ticket, so everyone must wait for me no matter how late I am"
Our plane in Morocco did wait for some transferring passengers once. It would'nt have waited for those 2 cunts though.
'It's your fault that we were late.' God, I couldn't work with people like them.
Seriously.
I'm sure Jane was thinking "oh I'm so sorry for arriving at your home to pick you up and transport you to the airport"..... I do not know how she keeps her cool dealing with these 'entitled' passengers day in and day out.
I work in retail and I get people like that as well. Some people are professional complainers even when you do try to help them
I was in a long line last week at a dept store. Another old fart (I'm 65) behind me was complaining about the lack of cashiers (several of them did come up shortly). I usually just ignore idiots like this, but it had been a rough week. I turned around and asked him "You gonna help or you gonna complain?" Silence.
Get there early its quieter.@@PlasmaCoolantLeak
I used to love watching Airline so much. Wish I could go back to the early 2000s.
People that routinely show up LATE for everything have some sort of specialized entitlement. And then they take it to the next level of entitlement by blaming someone else for their poor planning.
Changing the load sheet takes ten minutes, not a big deal.
Not the responsibility of the airline to get you onto a flight you've missed. It's your responsibility to get there on time and 'on time' means 30-40 mins before departure for boarding. It does not mean take off time. If the staff can't accommodate you, that doesn't make them inconsiderate or inefficient.
I watch these type of airline videos all the time and when people miss the flight it's always, "but the plane is just sitting there." It makes me laugh every time, cause when you work for an airline you know why you can't just open the door.
They think they are knowledgably clever but are actually as thick as pig sh!t.
Once they close the door, it's all over. Pilot is on his way after that.
My utmost respect for people who work with the public. I could Not do their job!!!
What a horrible couple.
Such a shame, everyone else managed to get there on time, why on earth would you risk missing your flight by being late!
Can’t these pretentious prat’s tell the time !
Someone needs to explain the aircraft weight and balance to these geniuses.
This is why I always go to an airport at least 3 hours early, check in luggage if I have any (always try to do carry on as much as possible), go straight through security immediately, confirm the location of the gate and then once it's confirmed and I know where to go I'll go relax and grab a coffee or grab a bite to eat. Rather be real early then take my chance like these 2 silly people did.
Same here. Its all part of your holidays
And you can people watch, which is always fun
I get a coffee and eat too while I'm waiting.
If planes waited for all the people that were late for their flights, can you imagine the chaos that would happen.
I worked for SWA. Some entitled idiot was able to run onto the ramp and thought he'd get on the plane ahead of everyone. All he ended up doing was being tackled by one of the provisioning guys, and being cuffed and taken away by the airport cops.
Jane is iconic with these one liners!!
My grandpa told us long time ago that: you wait for the train, the train is not waiting for you.
“We’re here in plenty of time and because of their inefficiency we’ve missed our flight”
How is it the airlines inefficiency when they were late? Also they were obviously not there in time because they would have been able to get on the flight.
There appears to be entire segments of the British population who think that boarding a flight is the same as waving down a taxi. And then the entitlement? Laughable.
Is this the man who provides the voice for Chris Eubanks?
Chris U-bend
Jane has the perfect way of dealing with customer BS, you just throw it right back at them.
I remember at work when a customer wanted to dispute an invoice. I gave them the details of the department to contact. The guy said "I'm stressed. I have a busy job, and you're just adding to it". I replied "I know. I'm really sorry. I appreciate it's very stressful having to send an email"
I missed a flight and had to wait nine hours for the next one. And not once did we berate the staff. WE were late and SO annoyed at ourselves! It's the customer's fault if they're late!
"Surely it's perfectly reasonable to expect 300 people to wait a few minutes for us?"
I will never understand why people can never just keep their gob shut and listen to the staff, like you want answers their giving you answers and you speak over them.
Had this SAME conversation SO MANY times working for the airlines. Dont miss it at all. Individuals are late, but it’s everyone else’s fault. And they will never understand that just because the plane is physically still there does not mean its available
It takes a special kind of person to work with customer service. I couldn't do it..
I am surprised that they did not start name dropping. "We are close friends of Her Majesty and she will be appalled when she hears about what happened to us". Or The PM is a close friend and he will sue the airline for what happened to us"
Karen complaining she has lost 25% of her holiday and I’m watching this during a pandemic while we lost all our holiday and freedom sometimes we don’t know how lucky we are
They are more than 25 % obnoxious.
The answer to this is simple, give yourself plenty of time to travel to the airport and you won't miss your flight. Also, the lady who worked for easyjet done well to handle this until the end when she pulled a face to the camera. Did she not think it would be shown on tv. Poor behaviour.
when ever i am flying regardless if its domestic or international . i make sure that i am sitting at the gate at least one or two hours prior to boarding . thats a rule i stick buy .
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
"If I keep talking I'll definitely get on"
Nah ... you won't ... how bloody funny
Be on time! They are the inconsiderate thinking they should be allowed on even though they are late, so let's inconvenience all the other passengers.
"Unfortunately the doors are closed, but as a gesture you may sit on the landing gear. Do you have winter clothing with you?"
Some people will not take responsibility for their actions.
People tend to make being late a reinforced habit, to the point that they are delusional about its repercussions.
I always say better to be 5 hours early than 5 minutes late.
Their frustration and distress pleases me😂
Imagine living next door to them.
I'd get the loudest leaf blower to remind therm of the plane they missed.
Sadly, someone does. I pity them.
I would love to live next to them , my ability to annoy with my lawnmower and leaf blower is legend
I was at Luton Airport on Sunday and the parking really isn't much better. I eventually managed to find a space and picked my mother up and was shocked that for just over an hour I was charged £17.50!
Guarantee you they are churchgoers and/or on the parish council
Absolutely amazing that everyone else on that plane got there on time. But somehow it was the airlines fault that they were late.
I love Jane! Takes no crap off anyone🤣
That couple have never been wrong in their life!
Don’t blame other people ,just show up on time
The only issue I have is that never in the history of ever if someone is late for a flight do they just put you on the next one free of charge, you missed your flight, tough and fair enough but to pretend you just wait for the next one is complete rubbish.
How entitled are this couple?? Only person to blame is yourselves
I loved Jane Bolton on Airline , she was great.
planes never leave early.... if you can be later than the plane then you don't deserve to fly
Yeah, just have a word with captain, make him miss his slot, delay everyone else, just so you can get on. Have a word love 😂😂😂
How were they expecting this conversation to go?
"You can't get on the plane you're too late"
"We couldn't find a parking space and only have hand luggage"
"Oh well shit why didn't you say so, on you go, have a nice flight"
Oh, and now it’s the car park.Incredble!!These people NEVER take ownership!!!
It's suppose to be eaaaaasy?!
great video. she speaks to them in such a way as to make the situation so very clear. no bs. bravo 👏
Excellent supervisor and loved her rolling eyes moment ! No sympathy for the travelling duo they should have taken into account they might have car park delays it happens at airports !!
People like this annoy me,turn up late and then blame the airline staff, always give yourself plenty of time !
"Do you know who I am?" always works for me. They assume I've lost my memory and wheelchair me to First Class.
Ive had them turn the plane around after take off for me!
I love that they are LATE and act as if it’s not their fault.
