The consistency of the i230s was the huge selling point for me when I got a set and I love them. Just hit the number each time, even if they weren't as far as the 425s/525s at the time when I tried them all. Would be curious to try the blueprint S for fun but I think I'm happy as a mid handicapper there with the i230s.
Nice vid, I play the 230’s and the only thing I’d suggest is they’re not players distance irons. That’s the 525’s or the new 530’s. Apart from that nice 👌
I started noticing on recent videos on YT starting to call i230's 'players distance' whereas 2 years ago that was the label for most of the hollow body irons, as in i525. What changed? I'm also a bit confused on the Ping lineup these days. Construction wise (not material wise), Blueprint S is not really different from i230 - Either filled/empty cavity backs, right? i59 and i525 are filled or empty hollow bodies (I never could figure out the i59's target audience ... always appeared to me like an anomaly, making it hollow and then basically filling it up with aluminum?)
Nice video. I currently play the G410 irons and my HC is 12 (got to 9 a year ago and working to get there again). Would you recommend the G430 or the Blueprint S for me? I would stop at the 6 iron either way and finish with hybrids/woods at the top end. Thanks!
To me, that toe screw is just a cheaper way of producing the toe weight which used to be provided by the tungsten insert in the older models. Ping reduces production costs yet increases retail price. Manufacturing Nirvana

Couldn’t have said it better; I love my 230s
Just club up. The 425s are jacked for distance. 230’s are designed for control.
Excellent video. Great editing, audio, and visuals. Glad i found your channel.

What about the 730s??? Where do they fit in??

Try i230s; you’ll love them
Hoping to see videos for the i525 replacement coming soon 😎
me too. And what category these fall into nowadays. apparently not player's distance anymore :-)
So the I 230 has the best stopping power when the ball it's the green??

Isn’t Ping cheaper though when going for the g430s?
I don’t think the i230s are players distance irons, i530s are.
They fall into that category they are just aimed at the better player, whilst the i530 appeals to a broader range of golfers.
I just got fitted in the blue print s. Picked them up today... Boy I'm happy and they look sexy as fcku
Glad you like them
Are blueprint s comparable to i 500s in any way
A big NO, apart from being made by Ping
The ones with PXG written on the back.
Wish the i230 had a better looking back on it
Looking forward to the i530s too @kurtier
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Because I think other than the new Blueprint T, the i230 has the best and cleanest look.
@@gdo3510 it's just that little slot thing that I don't like and puts me off.
The overall look of them is pretty clean
