hey bro. none of my buisness. doesnt the idle adjustment screw get turned in 1/2 turn. that hole you refered to was a progression hole. i dont own a down draft style one. i have the side draft sytle. concepts the same. just noticing as i was passing by. thanks for sharing by the way. larry
Hey Great Video, I'm having a problem on my 83 FB with a bridge ported 79 12a where it redlines as soon as I turn it on, have you had any similar problems? I am slowly building this car as well. Any advice you could give would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
I know it's a OLD video but it leaves me wondering why you're using a IDA on the street instead of a IDF? Is it manifold availability? The stumble is likely the fact there's only 2 progression holes. If you drill the 3rd one it'll help a lot. Still no where near the drivability of four holes (like an IDF).
That makes sense. The IDFs are quite a bit better for the street than idas. I figured it was just what you had/knew. I’ve thought about idas for a vw but the drivability and fuel control over the bumps stopped me
This is for a street ported 6 port 13B Needle Valve: 300 Air Corrector jet: 205 Emulsion tube: F4 Main Jet: 200 Idle Jet Holder: 120 Idle Jet: 70 Auxiliary Venturi: 45 Venturi: 42 Pump Jet: 40
Thanks dude. This video helped heaps. 13b bridgy 👍
Well check out my rebuild video as well for when you need to clean it from this ethanol gas.
The 48IDA introduces air very early in the emulsion process. One of its benefits.
Love this vids
Im gonna try to put a ida 48mm on my 4 port renesis engine. (13b msp) the stock intake setup wouldnt fit under the hood of my kitcar chassis.

sounds like your idle adjustment is way way up.
had that problem once, could be your throttle cable getting stuck in its shielding.
Can this 48 IDA be ran in a stock 82’ 12A? Racing beat exhaust
I mean it can but its alot of carb for stock ports. You would probably have to down size the chokes to get it to run decent at part throttle

Ah the only reason I am running it is I bought all of it together and knew it all worked together. Never messed with the IDFs.

What jet sizes are you using.
This is for a street ported 6 port 13B

For vw drag racing jets and venturi?
Put it on the car! And let it rip! Will need video proof

@@CastellawSpeed I’m assuming this is for a stock port 12a
