Kurenai is an Anthem in the Japanese Rock/Metal world. Of course there's the X Japan original. Nemophila has done a cover and the Daisuke Kurosawa Project did a cover. The common component in both videos is the drummer TAMU!! There is also a video of Tamu auditioning for Yoshiki for his Lady X Japan project playing the drum part. Yoshiki wrote Kurenai and is the X Japan drummer! Worth watching for Yoshiki's reaction to Tamu.
Show-Ya started in 1981 and blew up around 1985. They became the inspiration for the hundreds of excellent all female bands in Japan today. Before them it was commonly thought that women couldn't do heavy music, and the tendency of society was to push them to a quiet retiring role and yet childlike in appearance - small nose and mouth and a high voice were valued. Keiko came out with a nose not "kawaii" in profile, grinned broadly and sang loudly. And changed everything. Within a year or so she was voted the sexiest woman in Japan. And Show-Ya have nurtured and encouraged female rock and metal artists ever since, notably holding the annual all female performed music festival "Naon no Yaon" to showcase their spiritual progeny. Because Show-Ya are the godmothers of women's heavy music in Japan, and I daresay beyond.
ARIGATO for the nice reaction!! SHOW-YA is the great band. Please react the live performance of this year. "LOOK AT ME"(NAON NO YAON 2021 live) is so powerful and so catchy.
Check out Princess Princess (aka Puri Puri) Puri Puri is a girls band that appeared at the same time as Show-ya. The media created a confrontational structure, but they seemed to get along lol I think it's more like a pop band than a rock band, but it's a legendary girls band alongside Show-Ya, and I think it was more popular than Show-Ya. Please give me poor English
Please check zilch 3.2.1 Zilch is a band launched by hide, a guitarist of the legendary band X Japan. A collaboration with Marilyn Manson was also planned, but before he achieved that, he set out for heaven. Please forgive my bad English.
Please check Ann Lewis. After making her debut as an idol singer before show-ya, she played an active part as a leading figure in Kayo rock. Please forgive my bad English.

Tamu goes ballistic on Kurenai. Those double bass moves are ridiculous.
