This video is so cute! Doesn't get old since first watching it on October 2018. This era had so much youth and wisdom in it. I watched the documentary for this album's promotion, and it was inspiring to know how much Gary has prepared for a singer-songwriting career that he had to sacrifice relationships and health. To this day, I still fantasize spending a day with a girl in a road somewhere in southern France.
This was a #1 hit for Gary Barlow in the UK. this was a song written by Madonna that she didn't include in her Bedtime Stories album in 1994. She's got a demo of this song posted here in youtube
This song wasn't ready for 1997'. I'm so sorry about gary was struggling into depression after Robbie takes the lead for some years. Because GB is simply the greatest songwriter of the 00's.

I read Gary's first biography and he didn't anticipate the final product would be a dance number. His recording was much slower. And we all know he borrowed this from Madonna. This is honestly one of my favorite 90s songs. It helped get me thru my career troubles a few yrs back.

Madonna even stated that she likes Take That. Wished at the height of their success during the 90’s they got a collaboration with Madonna

On May 10 1997, Gary Barlow’s Love Won’t Wait hit #1 on the UK Singles chart. The track was the lead single from the former Take That singer’s debut solo album, Open Road.
The song was written by Madonna & Shep Pettibone during an early 1994 writing session for what would evolve into Madonna’s Bedtime Stories album.
After recording a handful of demos with Pettibone, Madonna decided to shift musical directions. While some of Madonna’s lyrics from the Pettibone sessions would be reworked into songs that would appear on Bedtime Stories, the excellent Love Won’t Wait remained shelved until it was submitted to Gary Barlow’s manager for consideration.
Strangely, Barlow’s single release credited only Shep Pettibone as the song’s writer, with no mention of Madonna or her publishing company, Webo Girl, Inc. This was subsequently corrected in the liner notes for Barlow’s album, Open Road, with both Madonna & Pettibone receiving credit.
Madonna’s soulfully delivered original demo version of Love Won’t Wait leaked online a few years after Barlow’s version was released.

"Love Won't Wait" was supposed to be part of Madonna's 1994 album "Bedtime Stories". But it was given to Gary Barlow, which garnered him his second consecutive number one in the UK. Anything Madonna touches becomes a hit, which makes this a great example of the "Madonna Effect".

Robbie wrote better songs... Angels, Feel, Come Undone, No Regrets etc. And don't tell me that Robbie don't write his songs, even Guy Chambers confirmed in interview that Robbie wrote melodies and lyrics in those songs..

I always love Gary from the 1st time I knew him in TakeThat from Back For good era. his vocal is always my favorite. not overpowering the song or over polishing the singing. there are simplicity and soothing feeling in his voice. from his appearance, he is also my favorite, being a guy who doesnt need to be rough or being overacting to look manly. at some point I think he is at least bisexual. he has a cute feminin side too IMO.
