I think the absolute best thing about this video is that although Darren is outclassing Gary in every aspect, Darren clearly absolutely loves Gary's performance and welcomes every word. Not only is Darren a great singer he's a first class Human being and as humble as they come.
This type of song is challenging to pick the lower octaves/notes to sing, Darren has so much smoothness/power in his high notes that will naturally pierce through perfectly. Gary is phenomenal in his own right!

I'm sorry, but NOBODY can top Darren's voice, NOBODY. He is one of the most underappreciated and greatest voices of all time, period. His voice is not of this world. God bless him. I don't know the man on the left, sorry sir, but to me, most "singers" you can always tell they are thinking in their head, the notes, the phrasing, etc. they are putting so much thought and effort into what they are doing... Darren NEVER looks like that because he doesn't need to. He gets totally out of the way and the voice just happens. His voice is a gift. When he sings it is almost effortless.

No way! Somehow Darren popped in my Home suggestion here last week - actually the song I Want You did. One thing led to another and now I'm scouring the internet for anything about him. I just love how this beautiful man loves to sing and his voice is absolute perfection. I guess I really have to thank the YT algorithms for bringing me to Darren. I'm sure he's getting many more fans now.

I think the absolute best thing about this video is that although Darren is outclassing Gary in every aspect, Darren clearly absolutely loves Gary's performance and welcomes every word. Not only is Darren a great singer he's a first class Human being and as humble as they come.
This type of song is challenging to pick the lower octaves/notes to sing, Darren has so much smoothness/power in his high notes that will naturally pierce through perfectly. Gary is phenomenal in his own right!
@@DKTD23I agree. They have different range. However, I have always been amazed that Gary can sing almost any song in his own range and the song comes out nice. He personalizes any song.

To the 54 people that disliked this video, you have no heart. Darren, you were just beautiful! Just as good if not better than 22 years ago! And Gary did a wonderful job on the harmony! I haven't felt such strong emotions when listening to music in such a long time. Thank you both for bringing back such great memories of 1999! I really do wish I could go back to those days sometimes.

I'm sorry, but NOBODY can top Darren's voice, NOBODY. He is one of the most underappreciated and greatest voices of all time, period. His voice is not of this world. God bless him. I don't know the man on the left, sorry sir, but to me, most "singers" you can always tell they are thinking in their head, the notes, the phrasing, etc. they are putting so much thought and effort into what they are doing... Darren NEVER looks like that because he doesn't need to. He gets totally out of the way and the voice just happens. His voice is a gift. When he sings it is almost effortless.
