Thank you! I absolutely love the nook and have my fingers crossed for the job, but I won't know for a while yet. I know I could be amazing in the position, and hope they agree. :)
@PagesandPens Love it! I had to laugh out though... my husband bought one similar to that a few weeks ago at the mall. He wanted to build it for me and then chickened out. A few days ago, my niece showed me one she completed, and now here's a video with you making it. I think I will bug him to build it. Love Amber's turtle! Hope you're feeling better and the test results/scans come back negative. Hopefully, you're just tired and need some rest. Hugs to you! Happy New Year! Barbara
It's the world telling you that you need that book nook! I hope you can convince him to make it for you. It really is just about the coolest thing ever. I already ordered another to do! Amber's turtles were a HUGE hit at Christmas, everyone loved them, and the adults got bummed they weren't included in the count and started requesting them. lol As for the bloodwork-results are in, but I have no idea how to read them so I'm waiting on the doctor. I doubt it 's going to show very much. It's really just a hormone screen cause at my age...ya know, it's just good to check. Make sure these mood swings and headaches aren't something more than a life change.
@@PagesandPens I told him what you said, but he went back to sleep on the couch. LOL I hope you film the next one you create. Yay to Amber's turtles! ha ha Ah, got it! The mood swings and headaches might be hormone related. I don't talk about it much, but I was "forced" into early menopause due to my cancer diagnosis. I must admit I love not having monthly visits from Aunt Flo! I'll be sending you good thoughts, Julie! Happy New Year to you and Amber! ❤ Barbara
It sure does! I did another kit where I placed the sensor a little wonky and still have to go back and fix it, but this one works GREAT and through the wood no problem. :)
I should have started on something smaller, like a book nook, I was gifted a HoLo Magic City kit, which has a lot of similar items as this kit, but it’s not made for a beginner.( lol) so many wood pieces just crumbled when I tried to pop them out and same with stickers, it’s almost more frustrating than relaxing.😮😂😂😂
I got so frustrated when one or two things broke! I get it. I am glad I started small, but I also had experience making small pieces for my father's train set when I was young, so i wasn't super new to it. I hope you found a way to enjoy it in the end.
Ok, I feel better now. I, too, am trashing the cauldron. My bendy pieces won’t stay AT ALL and I broke one trying to figure it out. 🤣 Came to the internets to make sure I wasn’t missing something.
haha I watched so many people make them and none of them struggled. I glued my fingers together so many times and then just gave up. honestly, it was so large it didn't make sense anyway. So, you're in good company just scrapping it.🙂
i just got this one. the wiring thing was a lil confusing for me with the whole 90 degree angle but i just did what i felt looked good. btw, great job on the book nook.
hmmmm... I'm not sure. I have only. had an issue with one touch sensor and it's because i placed it wrong and need to adjust it. For me, I don't leave the battery packs on anyway and the lights aren't on 98% of the time, so it didn't bug me. I'd say if you can, maybe play with placement. If it worked when you tested it, it should continue to. I'm so sorry!
Just bought this one i made the rose detective agency last that was laser cut like this one what i am going to when do this one i am going to use decal fixer this way i can stick the books down but move them if i need to
The turtles are adorable! I live book nooks. I've enjoyed your video.
Amazing love it!!!!! And amber’s cute turtle 🐢 🥰
The turtles were a HUGE hit with the kiddos! They were adorable.
It turned out adorable!! Also looking forward to hear about the interview!! And also also Amber’s turtles are precious!

It's so cute!!!!
😍 does the touch sensor work through the wood panel?
It sure does! I did another kit where I placed the sensor a little wonky and still have to go back and fix it, but this one works GREAT and through the wood no problem. :)

I just finished my second book nook and am editing the footage. Trust me, this one was a cake walk comparatively. lol But Thank you!! :)
OMG I want one so badddddd.
Also, you didn't add in the links for this one.
Corrected! I linked to all the kits and the one I did. They're so stinking fun! I already ordered another. lol
So cute! I can't tell if I would love doing this or if my perfectionistic self-critical Virgo tendencies would make this not so fun for me. 😬
Fair. All I can say is that my Virgo, type A, way too self-critical self still really loved it. So...maybe give it a go.
I just bought this and tbh I am terrified of starting it - looks kinda intimidating lol
They all can be, but I didn't go for perfection- I went for fun. :) You'll do great.
@@PagesandPens thanks - it arrived today
I built this last night but my touch sensor isn’t working through the wood but it works on its own. Any tips?

I did the same with my cauldron its in the bin in tiny broken pieces x
That thins was IMPOSSIBLE. Maybe soaking it in water would have helped? But there was no way I could get it to work.

It looks so complicated 😱
It wasn't nearly as bad as it looked. Honestly, it was fun, but again, I have some experience with miniatures. :)
What kind of glue do you used?
I use Fabri-Tech :)
