@dj_efk There is one in Bournemouth on 11th and 12th February, and one in weston super mare area next weekend too, I think if they are close enough to visit for you.

Great footage - thanks for sharing.
There's one part-way through where the poor models are being hammered way too fast, including a Garratt blasting through at a scale speed of at least 80+ mph!
    Loving the models nevertheless.

Thanks. Sadly I don't think old Hornby Dublo was designed for crawling. The layout is a homage to a kids dream layout of the 50s and 60s. Lots moving and running to rule one :)

@@alantoms3263 We banned scale speed. It's a trainset not a model railway! - The Garratt comfortably pulls those 30 wagons plus brake van. A Heljan would have expired after a couple of laps with that lot on the back. It has Dublo gubbins underneath it with two 5 pole motors inside.

I can't believe how low the modeling standards are on these layouts, the people running them need to take off their rose tinted beer goggles and LOOK rather than just thinking what they have created is a masterpiece. From the unpainted plastic kits to the; locos painted in 1930s liveries with 1950s BR coaches, terrible track work, the building leaning over, unrealistic real world layout. The only positive thing is that it has made me realise the high standard of my layout and that I should stop beating myself up over the tiny imperfections in my layout. I really should get a grip and start my own RUclips channel

Hi there, always bugs me replying to comments like this. Have you ever thought of the person behind the model? The budget they have? Or even how able they are?
I found this to be a very family friendly show, one operator even let one kid drive his sound fitted large prairie. That's what it all about at the end of the day, getting people and families involved. We all have different skill levels and it shows the hobby is healthy and a broad church that welcomes all.

Come on then, let’s see your masterpiece if it’s that good. I appreciate all models as budgets, skills and age vary and at the end of the day it’s their layout. Don’t like it then don’t watch it.

@@philkirk4571 hi Phil, your statement is rather childish. Having an opinion about something does not require being an expert at producing the thing you have an opinion about. For example yesterday I had an opinion about which bag of apples I should buy based on what I saw. Are you stating that I should have chosen the bag with rotten apples in it as you think I should not have an opinion about apples as I do not grow apples myself? I am sure you have lots of opinions on lots of things of which you do not make yourself

I notice I’m not the only one who had problems with posts like yours. Like I said, put yours out there. If you saw my layout you’d probably laugh but it’s my pride and joy.
