Windows Movie Maker, part of Windows Essentials 2012, is no longer available for download directly because its old, and because they publish new software and you have to be careful don't download everywhere from Websites that offer free downloads of Movie Maker , maybe they are not offering the real thing, here im showing the official one the original setup that is released from microsoft.

After I successfully Installed the movie maker on Win11 I noticed some strange changes...
My computer made noise while getting a blackscreen and zooming in on the desktop layout afterwards then it made noise again I got a blackscreen and everything went to normal. Is this some sort of compatibility issue between the outdated software and the new hardware or did I just download some malware? Also I had to manually enable framework 3.5 in order to fix error 0x800c0006 so that the installation could work.
Then I restarted my computer and disabled framework 3.5 again maybe it has something to do with that?
Please help me what should I do now?

Maybe its something about GPu drivers brother and yes Netframework 3.5 its good to be installed yes .
This its old software and original one original setup from microsoft and sometimes will gave this compability issues because its soo old

Can you change compabliluty to w10 or w7?

Short update on my behalf.
So I ran a full scan on Microsoft Defender and it showed me no malicious software on my OS, So everything is fine regarding that. Then I did what you asked me to and I fixed the compatibility and now everything works seemingly fine. The blackscreen happened only once. You earned yourself a new subscriber thank you very much brother! 👌

Hello my friend, I'm running Windows 10 and the installer goes through and says Windows Live Essentials 2012 has been installed but it doesn't show up anywhere on my computer. I'm really desperate to recover the program because I had it on my computer just 2 months ago and accidentally deleted it. If you could help me out you'd be an absolute life saver.
