In this video I talked about one of the most praised production company in Thailand during the peek of its very first successful BL series. However after a few years, it seems that the tables have turned and now the actors who bring them fame, is now moving out of the company. Issues are also arising and fans are calling them out for all the bad reasons.

BoC is doing good in portraying the "dark" side of society. Less sugar coated lovey dovey and focuses on the twisted dark reality of life. They just need to clean their closets on issues like the "predator writters".
A large part of the uproar against the sex scenes bothers me a lot. I understand being worred about the age and safety of the actors. But a lot of the "it's basically porn" complain are giving purity culture vibes. All of the sex scene so far have been great to show characterizations of both the characters involved and the relationship. Sex scenes are just regular story scenes, and if they are written well they can showcase character and relationship development. Sex is obviously a coping mechanism for Tonkla.
Again I understand the worry. But please let us remeber to actually engage with the content and story and acting of a scene. Even if that scene is a sex scene. Especially when the writing (and acting) surrounding them is this good.

thank god there are people thinking like you, the NC scenes in KP and 4 minutes are there for a reason and purpose, not random stuff they throw to our faces just because, at the end the story telling and the way is directed is so good that makes you think: BOC gives us top notch series above the average thai BL and that is highly appreciated, sometimes the people that complain the most are the ones thinking series like We Are or the bunch of crap GMMTV is making like the real deal. BOC productions should be the standard and that's it.
Honestly i was traumatized when tonkla nc scene suddenly played😌.. like wth, he was just kids. before this series again i was hoping that fuaiz just act normal love scene but this kind of bullshit they give😌
@@dramallama3544 I don't know what to tell you. We don't know what kind safety there was on set. And if he was pressured. I dislike the term normal sex scene. They were written in a way that perfectely showcase characterization and the different relationships in Tonkla's life. I don't consider those scenes bullshit. You are allowed not to like them. But this kind of moralizing about sex scenes in bls needs to stop. If you don't like them skip over them. But you can't claim they weren't written in a way that makes sense for the story or that they were bullshit.
@@EEELIANA To an extent I think that it was very rare for me to watch a BL were the sex scene didn't at least serve the porpouse of showing us the connection between the leads and advancing the romance. But the 4 minutes sex scenes were especially good in terms of characterization. The BL industry is vast and there is a lot of stuff coming out, and we are so blessed to get so many queer stories to pick from, I love how varied it is. I think we need both complicated stories, high heat stuff, and low heat stuff and more fluffy stories.
That said I have been dissapointed by the writing quality of GMMTV recents BLs (I didn't like We Are, not because it was fluffy just because it wasn't written very good but I have liked more then a few past GMMTV works)
My issue is they have all these actors in their stable then proceed to give them no work. They seem preoccupied with brand deals as if they are a kpop company
The Build controversy is way too personal. The other actors of the company till now are being harassed by these online rackets. Especially Bible, truly what he had faced for the last one & a half years was not anything less than hell, he was crucified, wished upon death, was demeaned & all other disgusting things done to him, for a something which he wasn't even involved in at the first place. He was literally a 24 year old boy right then
The controversy with Build doesn't stop here. He's also been really hateful & homophobic, particularly toward Bible.
I very much believe that minors, even if over the age of consent, should not be doing NC scenes. Parental consent doesn't sit well with me, because I've known far too many parents who will sign their kids' lives away to make themselves more comfortable. Saying they hired an intimacy coordinator would be far better - especially if that intimacy coordinator is trained on SAG-AFTRA requirements.
I understand being worried about minors and younger actors shooting NC scenes. I am worried as well. I think that BOC talked once about having intimacy cordinator with Kinnporsche and I think they are still using them. However I just want to point out that SAG-AFTRA is an american union for american actors. We can't expect a Thai company to follow the rules and requirement with an american company.
@@R.S.B.94 it is an American union, but not everyone trained to those standards stays in Hollywood. Someone familiar with those policies & procedures could help craft a safer standard in Thai television.
@@CK.Stellata Ok but I am just saying. Thailand might already have standards in place for safety. There is a Intamacy cordinator company that gets used a lot. They have intimacy workshop. How do you know that the actors on the set didn't already feel safe. How do you know that the standards they already have might be enough? I am not sure I love the implication that an american has to come in to make Thailand a safer.
@@R.S.B.94 excellent point! Very good questions. The main thing I would be looking for is a clear & transparent policy, outlining how NC scenes are to be filmed. That policy should cover everything from the types of barriers that should be used, who should be in the room, & what the actors can do to take breaks, to things like what constitutes an NC scene, how actors can ask for changes to the scene, & what roles minors can take in regards to NC scenes.
If such policy exists currently, I’d love to see it. I haven’t seen any yet, but that doesn’t mean there is no such policy.
The main reason I refer back to SAG-AFTRA training is because the rules the union has in place are so clear & so strict. I’m a Kiwi in New Zealand with an American Significant Other. So many things about the USA are awful, which is why we live in NZ. Trying to impose another culture’s standards rarely helps anything. You’re absolutely right on that point.
Partly thanks to your excellent questions, I think my opinion has shifted to support something more like “consultation with people who have this (SAG-AFTRA Intimacy Coordination) background, in order to make a Thai-appropriate, safe, clear, practicable NC filming policy, would likely improve safety overall but especially for minors”. That way, there’s less imposition of foreign rules, & more Thai ownership/control/social investment in a transparent policy that can be widely applied.
With all the Neurodivergent sincerity I can muster, I really appreciate your points & your well-placed distrust. I appreciate being pushed to think more, especially when it comes to considering cultural differences.
@@CK.Stellata I asked around since your point made me curious so here is what I found out about how the BOC handles NC scenes:
- Pond (BOC CEO) was an intimacy cordinator
- Much like many other bl production they do intimacy workshops before filming
- Actors have said in the past (Kinnporsche era but we have no reason to think this doesn't still apply) that they felt very safe and listened to during the sex scenes and that nothing was filmed without their consent and that their suggestion were listened to when they had them
- They film the NC scenes by clearing the room and having just two crew people and a small monitor with the actors while they film
- They use the same cloth protections for genitals that other intimacy cordinator heavy production do. The sock for the penis and other things like that.
These were information people got by watching interviews and other things during the kinnporsche era, I don't personally have source, by I trust some of the people that have said this information to me.
Also there is an Intacy Cordinator agency in Thailand. They have an instagram account, called Intimacy Cordinator Thailand or something like that.
Overall the BOC set seems pretty safe about the NC scenes. Anyway I was very happy to hear your response.
I cant help but compare BOC with other company ...we know there are young actors who are 18 or 19 ..they are taken great care..while BOC not to say about caring about them but also making these kids act in NC scenes when they are still children...I really cant understand BOC..sometimes I feel like these kids may get traumatized because of these..😞😞..That is why fans dont want kinnporche s2 if the cast have to go through this..

Age of concent in Thailand is 15. The culture is different from the USA and e.g. Korea. However, not much different from, say, Japan or Netherlands, a less conservative society in their cinema. Let's not be too judgemental based on our specific culture. We are watching these because they ARE different culturally, and a breath of fresh air. You have the choice to watch non BL. You also have the choice to not watch K-Pop type groups so as not to endorse the extreme training protocols mandated in that industry and possible abuse of the idols...
What does K-pop have to do with what this video about? Also lets not use "culture," as an excuse to dismiss pedophilic/questionable behavior/choices. You can watch something and still critic it. Saying oh well the age of consent is 15 so its fine for minors to do NC scenes is just appalling to me. Just because it's "legal," doesn't make it right. They had to get parental permission for those scenes. Like I said in my comment, if you have to get someone's parental permission to do a NC scene then maybe they shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
And also have the choice to watch a clean BL series

If any of the series or movies I watch and or read because I read a lot too do something problematic I call it out because that needs to be done for the entertainment industry to get better and for actors not to be used and abused.

BOC is all about mature content , if you all are not in favour of that , then don't watch ....as simple as that . GMM makes plenty of bl shows about school dramas which have soft plot and no intensity ....so watch those . But if you are looking for mature content and then screaming shit about NC scenes that is absurd , it's a damn part of life . BOC does great work of binding fiction to reality , the cinematography , plot , acting of each actors , chemistry , each and everything is of TOP NOTCH QUALITY. 4 works till now , Kinnporsche , Mansuang , DFF and 4 minutes and all 4 of them are masterpieces . The only other production company that came near to their work is IdolFactory with The Sign , mind blowing and a true artistic masterpiece .

Actually Pond did most of that, but Mile was the one saving the series, bc without knowing Pond, and going to him after it was cancelled, Pond wouldn't have made BoC and redone the series.

BOC will always have my respect for setting the bar higher and making others pull up their socks. I thought this video will discuss why the actors left and we could talk about work opportunities and the struggle Thai actors face.
From the beginning I think BOC still needs to learn crisis management and how to balance the weight between giving information and handling issues but I will roll my eyes at NC comments. If you don’t like it watch the non NC version. We have options guys.

Y'all are so petty on this. Acting like they are not get paid and did not took the challenge. Y'all are surprised when it happens all the time. Actors leave when they want to and BOC not preventing them is actually a good thing.
ALSO the NC scenes in 4 Minutes were absolutely necessary to show the Tonkla relationship, which definitely is LOVE from Korn's side! The difference between that scene in Ep 1 and the engagement with the policeman was clear! I also LOVED the beautiful romantic scene between Great and Tyme! OH my goodness, that was beautiful! 4 Minutes is the first series to literally make me hold my breath, for so many reasons - it's absolutely amazing! BOC's great work - sad that it's so short and, after watching Ep 5, I'm worried about Great - well about Great, Nan, Tyme and Grandma, Tonkla, now Dome, too! OOOOOOOHHHHH! Magnificent!
The NC scenes might be necessary but they need to be so graphic. That’s the issue people are having. I don’t need to see a bare backside thrusting between a young boys legs to get the point. I’m not a prude but BOC weird a lot of power over young aspiring actors and they have a duty of care to all them particularly the young ones. How many times do we hear of young people being taken advantage of or regretting some of their choices and feeling coerced when they get older. If they don’t want to parade a naked body on screen maybe don’t use someone who is barely legal. Kinneporche worked because they were all clearly grown men and not boys. I give it 5-10 years before all the accusations of sexual misconduct and lawsuits come flooding in. No NC scenes for boys under 21.

I may slightly agree on a couple of points in this video, but there's some things that are misleading in this video. To mention some/most of it:
Pond bought what was left of Filmania, after it was about to go bankrupt. He was brought in via Mile, and after consulting with Mile, later Apo too, he started up Be On Cloud with majority of the old (main) staff.
Poi and Yok didn't get out of their problematic issues without consequences. As of May 2022, they were no longer directly involved with BoC. It could have happened sooner, but it did happen. Every business talk of a script for KP season 2, and what else business, was conducted at locations externally outside BoC offices.
Business meetings with them were Pond, often Gift, or another main assistant, and occasionally Apo and/or Mile present.
Other than that, the other guys weren't in contact with Yok and Poi, except for once in July 2022. EXCEPT for Build, Us, and later JJ, who continued to frequently meet with them in private, as friends. Build and Us were silent partners in Daemi Production House too. Build and Us were private friends with Poi and Yok, before Pond/BoC got into the picture.
Build's case with Yok blew up anyway, because this happens when an actor is accused of violence. It also came off on the back of Build having a previous scandal before, in May 2022, and then this 2nd one. This video only showed comments from people, who wanted BoC to protect Build more. It didn't show the larger amount of people who wanted him fired ASAP - also because he had one scandal already. I were in the fandom back then too. It was a nightmare and huge fan wars. A lot of fans boycott BoC, after them/Pond showing some support to Build.
Pond actually DID try to mediate between Build and Poi, to solve it fast, which many seems to forget, but when Poi didn't want to drop the case, after Build made a public speech, it became a private legal matter, and it was out of BoC's hands.
Build's termination was necessary. You can argue in hindsight whether it was fair, but it WAS necessary. BoC took a big hit on this case. Financially, sponsors lost, investors left, and no brand would work with someone under criminal charges, and a court case being 6+ months away (could have been up to a year). BoC couldn't use him until after that court case either. Some of the other guys' deals were affected too, some cancelled. There was no choice with Build. It was leave or be fired. He got to leave with some dignity by resigning. And Pond DID help him afterwards. Unsaid, but he did. How else were Build able to do a big concert 5 months later, whilst having zero experience in doing what is Pond's main profession - using the contacts that Pond had.
Quick note. Wuju Bakery is not a BoC production. They have no say in the release of it. Barcode and Jeff was hired by other Korean production company.
As for the 5 actors leaving. 1st gen-Perth was first with another management company whilst filming KP, then he was freelance for a while, until joining BoC management shortly, but then he got work in Japan, and has worked there since. Ping's contract wasn't renewed, bc he wanted to focus on his band. He was a drummer in Rosalyn. New probably didn't get renewed, because he was just not a good actor. Lotte got a contract elsewhere, with a new role. 2nd gen-Perth couldn't be in DFF according to the rules of The Hidden Character. So maybe no need to continue his contract.
BoC has switched to hiring actors per project, and outside of a few actors. That's why some actors come and go, depending on whether they have contract for one project, or get renewed for a 2nd. None if them has ever talked bad about their time at BoC. Jes, newly hired, actually spoke about really liking how they do things at BoC. A way he has never experienced before, in his 10 years as an actor.
Barcode left to pursuit a career way that BoC can't give him. He also wouldn't have had an acting job with them until next year, so rather than holding him back, he could go elsewhere.
In Thailand you're an adult at 18, but for signing contracts of anything, you have to be 21+. In that legal term for contracts you're considered a minor until 21 (unless you marry), but otherwise you're adult at 18. Hence why parents has to sign/permit the acting contracts too.
Whether people think the NC scenes are too much or not is individual feeling, and maybe cultural norms.
I can maybe agree that having Fuaiz as as the role of Tonkla may be a little wild, but he will figure out later if he's still good with doing it, or won't another time. As for the scenes, whilst they are fairly explicit, it's also nice to see realistic scenes that portrait both the good and bad in them. They're there for a reason, clearly showing specific emotional dynamics.
But no.. 7 actors leaving BoC in 9 months isn't weird or wild. It's quite normal in acting world that you hired per project, or for a couple of projects. And then you may or may not be signed for more.

Ok with other things but how do you know pond helped build during his concert? That was just your imagination don't include that. The company literally threw him out.
Seems strange that the age of concent is 15 but you're only an adult at 20. That's a big age difference. The writers behaviour was out of order and needs exposing and stopping.
You are still an adult in Thailand at age 18. This video didn't specify that the 21+ rule is for signing legal contracts. It's the one area where there is a special exception, and why BoC adds the info that everything went according to law. ALL actors, or any other kind of contracts needs parents approval, until 21 years of age, unless the person under 21 is married.
And Build has been proven INNOCENT of the charges by Poi! INNOCENT - but she destroyed his 8-year career and he will get NO COMPENSATION! Her prison sentence was halved because she pleaded guilty and THEN suspended! She ruined someone's life and got away with it. BOC really didn't act well in this! Very sad!

Also the matter was settled between poi and build where they both said it was teasing gone too far (whatever that means). So let's cut the crap and let's not pretend build is some victim. I’m so glad someone else is pointing this out! As much as I love the cinematography and storyline, I can’t ignore the fact that Fuaiz is only 18, and he’s had three major NC scenes in only five episodes! And when I say major, they are MAJOR. Like more than almost any other Thai NC scenes. Even if Fuaiz and his parents approved the scenes, it doesn’t matter. What parents are going to deny their child a chance to star in a huge series (because I’m sure if they had said no then Fuaiz would have been recast)? And what young actor doesn’t want a chance at fame? I just don’t think there’s much chance for them to reject or not approve of these types of scenes. Most women don’t even kiss on screen in Thailand until they are much older than 18. Just because Fuaiz is a man, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t also have some innocence to protect.
If he didn’t want to do them then he wouldn’t have done them. He knew what the role entailed and he auditioned for that role and he got that role.
@@arianatortothecore3844 I guess this gets into the moral question of what we should allow people to do. People who are young want to do a lot of things, but it doesn’t mean they should. I’m focusing more on the double standard between men and women in the Asian culture. Even if a young woman of 18 wanted to do NC scenes and was comfortable doing them in a series, she wouldn’t be allowed to. I think that young men should be protected in that way also.
I love be on cloud why all the critics if you are not happy then don’t watch. Live is the matter of choice that is why viewer description is advised
I’m very concerned about Fuaiz, he is a good kid and you can see how young he is by his real personality without portraying this grown character. It’s very disturbing, i care about him so much so i hope this doesn’t affect his mental health.
If you care about him, stop acting like he's a child. He isn't. He is a grown adult.
This seems a lot like a hit piece on BOC. Build actively shit talked his costars and they found out about it. He's not an angel.
Absolute agree with the general sentiment... i have nothing against Nc scenes, they add oomph and depth to the story..... i havent watched DFF so cant comment onthe barcode issue, but am watching t 4mins series and i am really concerned.... yes Fuaiz seemed to be getting very explicit Nc scene while he has just turned 18... thats not a consent age in my country for boys for Gods sake... as he looks so fragile and sweet... while being a great actor too...the Nc scenes with Bas and JJ were too too explicit for such a kid... in comparison where i expected creative Nc scene between Jes and bible... it was a rushed, halfhearted scene.... was it because Jes and Bible both being quite well known carries more weight and has a definite say on how much of exposure they will do while Fuaiz being a newcomer and a kid has very minimum say ......i somehow had t feeling that if Fuaiz had objected to such explicit nc scenes he would have possibly not been given the project inspite of being a damn fine actor...seriously.. BOC needs to rethink their strategy... while they do very interesting projects with great story line and fantastic cinematography, editing and direction...they need to rethink on how to use their acting pool...
The channel owner liked your comment so she's just as ridiculous as you. Bible is not any sort of well known anything. He has acted in literally 1 series ever before 4 minutes. He's got less industry experience than Fuaiz.
I can agree about not taking serious actions against who harrased the actors o arise some problems, but the cast, the plot and eventually the NC are set on the script from the beginning! In everyday life boys and girls have sex, even if they are minor! I can understand thar a minor doesn't have to act these type of scenes, but it's actually up to him and his parents! I don't think they are forced to act that way.
This Poi girl was toxic for BOC.
How they handled the situation with Build was just unprofessional and later with Barcode the same.

We tought initially that Boc will be a management company,but they turned to be a production company only. This is their choice.. a company which prefers dark and raw scenes, and hard plots. As there is enough cheesy fluffy story at other companies,so it's quite clever to distinguishe themselves to this direction. You can hate them about it and you can praise them about it. There is no any bl couple or company who is not controversial to an extent ,and who can not get hate. Fans and criticisers have a real toxic branch too , not just the companies. Those people need to vent on anything and everything. But practically who cares...
It's probably due to how far they take their NC scenes. Even Hollywood doesn't go that far, especially if they're so young. Asking an 18 yr old to do what they asked of their actor in 4 minutes is a bit disturbing. Also the whole mileapo blow up. It's just not worth it, especially if you identify as straight.

No. The problem is that BoC is having a minor doing NC scenes. Only legal adults should be doing those types of scenes, which Fuaiz is not.

I dont have problems in NC scenes. In KP all NC scenes were perfectly justified. But in DFF and 4 Minutes many times it felt it could have been different or handled better way. Some felt not even required like that. I dont know BOC is disappointing me after KP

4 minutes series is interesting except the NC scenes. Felt so wrong, some NC scene even not necessary in some situation, and also remembering the one play Tonkla is still in that age... Idk, I just think BOC shouldn't do that far to their actors.
Whilst I don't agree with all of BOC's choices there are many more factors that were considered when making a lot of those choices than what we, as consumers, were privy to. Build was no angel, he was at the very least in part responsible for the controversy surrounding the case brought against him and it was his personal relationship with Poi that mainly contributed to him getting his role in KP to begin with. Jeff leaving BOC wasn't much of a surprise given how music-focused he'd been and, given how negatively BOC was impacted by Bible's very public controversy, it wasn't unexpected that they would have to re-prioritise their projects.
Perth, Ping, Woody, New and Lotte leaving also wasn't overly surprising, BOC is both a production company and a talent management company but, with limited resources, realistically having a younger acting stable would be better for them in the long run. They have an experienced lead pair to help train their younger actors, they can pay them less because they have less experience and they're likely to still be living with/supported by their families so they're less likely to jump-ship (so to speak) in order to get more lucrative roles because they're less likely to be solely reliant on their income to support themselves. This is partially a cultural thing as many actors in the Thai entertainment industry come from well off families because they have better access to more opportunities, this isn’t always the case of course but it is the more common scenario.
It also ties into the broader age discussion, the legal age of consent in Thailand vs the legal age of adulthood is very culturally specific and people from Western cultures applying their own bias to the actor's decisions to participate in a series with NC scenes doesn't help anyone. Might I point out that the average legal age of consent in most western cultures is 16 (only 1 year's difference from Thailand) and the average age of majority (adulthood) is 18 however in South East Asia it fluctuates. The average age of consent is anywhere from 15-18 and the average age of majority ranges from 16-20. The legal drinking age in the US is 21 yet in most of the world it's 18 and in many countries, globally, the legal driving age is 18 yet in many Western countries specifically you can start driving at 16. These minimum age requirements are set by individual nations (or in some cases states) and they aren't always decided by well-intentioned people nor are they always updated to account for societal changes. Judging a country or a culture for how it operates because it's different from our own is unfair and unreasonable and if it were done to us we'd hate it too.
Western culture is known for overly-sexualising young actors and actresses *cough-Disney-cough-cough* and whether or not one individual actor's parents have the best of intentions when agreeing/consenting to a contract for a series with NC scenes isn't for the viewers to judge. Voicing concerns about consent in the entertainment industry of any country isn't a bad thing but it should be done without calling out based on our own prejudices as each circumstance is different.
In this case at least, several things should be taken into account, for starters JJay isn't "almost 30", he's 24. Fuaiz has more acting experience than JJay and has previously demonstrated himself as being very confident in his abilities/roles. Thailand's entertainment industry, specifically their BL industry is booming and very competitive, there are pro's and con's to this but one pro in this case specifically is that production companies go all out on things like workshops and acting classes. Cast members spend weeks, sometimes months attending classes and workshops together, building trust and chemistry, both to ensure a smooth production and of course for the company to try and make the most amount of money from "branded pairs" so to speak (see GMMTV for the perfect examples of this) If this process isn't successful there wouldn't be a series and the company wouldn't last very long so, for the most part, they try to get it right, if only for their own benefit. Abuse of power can happen in any industry but BOC is likely to Be On-their best behaviour because another controversy like the one with Build/Poi could see them shutting their doors for good so although it’s not a guarantee, it’s a reasonably safe bet to say that the case of 4Minutes signed off on the series because they wanted to, they understood the requirements of their roles and the be quite frank, they’re very bloody good at them!
JJay and Fuaiz are killing it with Win and Tonkla and in my own (educated in this instance) opinion, the NC scenes are pivotal to the character development of this show. Tonkla uses sex as a tool, both to connect and to seek control, Korn uses it as a distraction tactic (and cause he’s a horny mofo) and Win is just an idiot in love. Great and Tyme both use it as a way to connect, to anchor themselves and the difference in the way each of the scenes are acted/filmed helps tell the stories of each of the characters. I do agree that a show that’s meant to be centered around one pairing but seems to give more airtime to another does seem counterproductive to most but again, this isn’t the Western entertainment industry people, it’s Thai BL. In Thai BL we stan the second-couple-syndrome! It’s actually quite a common practice amongst the broader BL industry throughout Southeast Asia, (see Until We Meet Again and its spin-off Between Us as a prime example).

No, the couple people are upset about; agreeable so, is Bas and Fuaiz. Fuaiz who 18 and Bas who is 27. That is a 9 year age gap. In my opinion, too much. Some may say other wise and that's just their opinion. Fuaiz is still a minor; at least in Thailand. For me at least he should not be doing such scenes.

This was discussed before hand with him and with his parents. In my country ( France) it is fairly common to have young adults or minors age 16 and plus in nc scenes. There is no stigma about it ( provided the director is respectful) .

BOC has in no way lived up to viewers’ expectation after the one off of KinnPorsche. They are bleeding talent right and left and, after watching the newbies in DFF, I am unimpressed with the new “talent,” Let’s be honest, none of the new boys can act. Whenever they shared a scene with Barcode or Ta, this was painfully obvious. The company is run by a raging narcissist who appears to care more about cozying up to celebrities than he does to running a successful entertainment company. The favoritism shown to Mile and Apo at the expense of the other artists is disturbingly blatant. Any artist still signed with BOC should jump ship the minute their contract expires (or they can buy out the remainder). Hollywood has shown that flashy visuals and a good script alone are not enough to produce a good entertainment product. None of the actors remaining at BOC are, in my opinion; great actors. They range from acceptable to unwatchable. KinnPorsche made up for some of these shortcomings by having a good script, good direction, stylish cinematography, and good post-production such as the soundtrack and editing. Nothing they have done since KP compares to their first series. Lightening did not strike twice.
"The favoritism shown to Mile and Apo" but not regarding to series. Bas played in Mansuang, in 4 Minutes and the commercial with Apo. While we MileApo fans didn't get any new series. Mansuang was lame and not BL. And Shine was postponed which many of us didn't even want but still tried to hype up because they said it will be BL. Now we have nothing while Bible, Bas, Job and even the newbies have series...
Apo is the only one who gets acting jobs but couple fans got nothing except brand deals which is honestly just for the idols. I don't get anything from them having brand deals as a consumer. Boc couldn't live up to their hype.

We all can agree that boc has the BEST series and the actors who can actually act. But the fact is they have favouritism and suck at managing the actors. It has been 2 years nodt and pong are in boc dungeon. They also rob the ships. They casted jjus and miobump but didn't make them a couple like wth! BoC is actually pretty specific about not trapping their actors in a ship or role type.
It's great for the actors, as it leaves anyone more open for any projects they want to audition/join for. Before you mention Mile and Apo, they kept working together because they wanted to.
BoC now also casts actors per project, which means an actor might only join for one job, and move on.
Like how Bible's next project is a sitcom, and he and Jes aren't a settled couple, which they have made sure are told.
(Bible is traumatized enough by the toxic part of Bubbles, to want that to happen again).
BoC is run more like regular production companies rather than older BL companies, where actors are stuck with the same screen partner through multiple projects, often having to do fan service as well. No other genre of production series/movies does this.

Hanyang WujuB creator went directly to Jeff and Jeff asked Barcode but only Jeff's company Studio on Saturn is named as a sponsor/producer for the show BOC is not named at all. BOC only helped in filming and releasing that 40 sec teaser that was in BOC showcase for their artists upcoming works. But the press conference for Wuju with Hanyang had no BOC mentioned or logo shown but SOS logo was shown and name was thanked by the announcer. BOC is not even in a joint collab with Hanyang for the making of this show or even a sponsor.
DFF was NOT built around Barcode he was literally the last one hired like Pond literally says they couldn't find anyone else and asked Barcode to try it out when they were close to filming! Even the author/writer said on twitter she was surprised with how good Barcode was and wasn't sure who can take the role. She only saw how good he was when watching the show it's all over twitter. Barcode was barely even shown until a couples EPs in if he stole the show it's not his fault.

Wuju bakery is handled by Jeff's company SOS and Hanyang, BOC is not helping in sponsoring it or filming it. They only filmed the teaser for the BOC event. The press conference for Wuju by Hanyang had all the sponsors announced and logo shown on the background and only SOS was shown/announced.
@Shanana529 it doesn't matter how barcode was casted coz it doesn't change the fact that the entire show was revolving around him. Therre was no DFF without his character hence I called it barcode centric. Yes he def stole the show. I was not surprised by that cos I saw his potential in kp itself. I still remember that one scene where Kim broke his heart and he broke down. That was the moment that showed me how talented he is. But ya role in dff was more complex and def a step up for him. They cannot cut off boc entirely as I believe the show is their brain child and they are the one who casted jeff and barcode. Hanyang is producing it and it's an international collaboration but it's clear what sos and boc role is at this point. As you said boc clearly released the first teaser during one of their world tours.
@@swan_909 I'm not sure how u came up with Wuju being BOC brain child and they casted JBC because they literally said Hanyang approached Jeff when he was already leaving BOC. Jeff than asked Barcode and because Barcode was under BOC they just release the news. They had an event for their artists future projects so they helped film the teaser for the BOC event. But look at the vibe of all the released sets, costumes, stills it's very bright not at all the image BOC put in the teaser.

For DFF it does matter how he was casted because as I said BOC did NOT build a show around Barcode from ground up like 4Min with Bible and now he has a second show coming as well as MileApo with Mansuang and Shine. Barcode was the last option and this was an original script written for BOC by Sammon and she didn't even know if Barcode could do it, so she didn't even see him audition. He was barely shown in the first couple episodes I don't think he had the most screen time. But the mystery is about his character so any victim in this genre will automatically be the "main character" even if they appear for 5 mins. So my point still stands.

Yes but it's not the company itself, atleast Gmmtv is not giving such explicit scenes to young actors, Gemfot are 20 and 19 respectively, they barely even kiss onscreen and their chemistry is just amazing. You're saying to leave it if the don't like it does that change that what they're doing is morally wrong even if it's right legally, atleast they have so many grown artists why not let them play those scenes instead of fuaiz , did you even see the jessbible scene? It was giving brothers vibes meanwhile they are the lead actors.
GMM didn't push many intimate scene especially young actors, I guess the most intimate scene only a kiss, like FUTS Phuwin maybe about 17-18, and this series only kiss, Gem and Fourth in MLC, MSP, the same, many indirect kiss or on cheek, maybe no real kiss there, obviously they protected young actors.
People are just jealous a 19 year old can say no or yes if they agreed it means they don't mind
It's very problematic and some of these issues I really didn't know until much later.
Sadly after BOC and most of the cast of KP decided to shun Build and just after the whole Build fiasco I have stopped watching anything related to BOC. I am really glad that a Lot of actors have decided to say good bye to BOC (coulodnt happen to a nicer company). I do agree that underage cast NEEDS and SHOULD be better protected no matter what scene(s) they are doing but, BOC will NEVER do that or be that company.
You've already tried to do away with Boc guys, it didn't work, forget it, try instead to understand and have fun with his productions, he's one of the rare companies that produces quality, raise the level, you're starting to scare the people who read you.
Who cares? Actors leave companies all the time! BoC has said they are not a talent management company and will not hold their actors hands. They are free to audition and take roles outside the company as they want. And some of the actors, like Nodt, have jobs outside acting.
Other minor actors who left, just aren't that talented.
Jeff should be under his own company and Barcode seems ambitious so should be in a situation where he has more opportunities. So understandable why they moved on.
As for Build, he dated Poi for 2 years so he himself saw her disgusting behavior but still continued dating her. He's not a good person regardless of how horrible Poi is.
Im not a fan of the Fuaizs NC scenes for sure but i see no proof he was forced. And in his NC scenes, he seems comfortable. His acting is believable. I feel like BOC tries to push the envelope.
As for Pond, I don't like him. Something about him is off and the company is certainly not as professionally run as it should be. It sounds like when BOC grew during the KP days, they quickly hired friends, family, people they could afford and thats not a good thing. Jes himself has mentioned how young the majority of BOCs employees are compared to other companies in the industry. That youth could be why BOC isn't so wortied about an 18 year old doing NC scenes.
Plus the Thai fans are not as worried about it as international ones. Never ceases to amaze me how international fans demand series made in other countries, for other countries viewers, following other countries laws, should meet THEIR expectations, morals and the like.

First of all bother yourself to learn some facts. The legal age is 15 in thailand so stop judging everyone by Western standards. Secondly, you dont like it dont watch it. You make it sound like company is forcing anyone to do anything. I agree writers of kp were toxic but its pretty clear barcode was protected by cast to an extent and he didnt do any nc scenes in kp. The entirety of build drama was not on boc. That was on poi and build himself. Its pretty clear he wasnt some goody two shoes. The only place i think boc went wrong is with writers of kp. I dont really know the details of their contract but i do know how much say they can have by thai laws as they were the writers of the content being made. So i am guessing it was a shit situation where they cannot just get rid of them without losing the rights to make kp entirely or could be something else. Anyways so far new talent goes bible, ta and barcode are the only ones from boc i use to find impressive and now bas has joined that list. I get it that you just want to hate on boc coz your favs might not be there anyone. Lets stop pretending that this isnt a hate video and that other companies dont have actors leaving and joining.
First of all, going around and saying, "15 is the legal age so who cares," isn't the argument I think you think it is. Just because something is "legal" doesn't make it okay. The comment about age was not meant for Barcode that was toward Fuaiz being 18 and doing NC scenes. In Thailand, the legal adult age is 20 and in my opinion someone who is technically a minor should not be allowed to do NC scenes.

Also, almost the entire cast faced harrasment from them but almost all of them stood by each other and weathered through it all to make kpts happen coz the show almost didnt happen due to money and other issues since filmania days. Age of consent for sex is 18, though. Barcode is clearly flourishing under boc and has cemented his position as a really good actor. Because he is already proving himself as an actor potraying all the anger, depression,frustation,sadness in his character which is very difficult even for other many senior actors. Build has always been innocent. BOC needs to apologise for throwing Biu under the bus. They all knew what Poi was doing, fans had been very vocal about concerns and they were all ignored .
As for BOC as a company they are disrespectful to all their actors except it appears Mike & Apo.
KinnPorche was truly amazing, however shows after that have been substandard, they have concentrated on the nc scenes. And with Pond in charge of the intimacy scenes it explains a lot. Fuiz is being used for the explicit scenes and that is worrying.
But tbh while ever they are making money it will continue because no one it appears will put the actors well-being first.
4 minutes isn’t great and that’s a shame because the actors in it are fantastic. But their skills are not being shown in this series. Most of the discussion about this series focus on the nc scenes and the actors 🍑

In my opinion, BOC's only good work is KinnPorsche the series , some more negativity is shown in DFF, and the lead character in DFF is shown as Non(Barcode) only whereas Phi(Ta) and Jin(Copper) also could have made better characters. So if he was in some other company instead of BOC, he would have got better exposure because he is a very good actor and very mature. Copper has his own Copper got a lot of personal hate due to his character but BOC did not support him. Because BOC has a habit of taking advantage of controversy.I also doubt that BOC gives proper ending in its series, let's suppose Kinnporsche, I agree that the open ending there was interesting as Porsche's mother and kinn's fathers' story was on a cliffhanger and Kim and Porsche's lovestory was also not finished but PeteVegas story was completed too, but in DFF that ending was not worthy for my 12 episodes waiting. That's why i am not gonna watch 4 minute series or any other series from BOC. I don't wanna waste my time above these types unsatisfied ending.

Também há narrativa, dá vontade de acompanhar cada cena, e todo mundo aparece, todos os personagens, Fãs do Bible são chatos demais sobre achar que ele não parece ser o protagonista, ele é sim, e está muito claro na série, essas fãs chatas estão é acostumadas com séries BL sem roteiro onde atores protagonistas aparecem o tempo todo na tela, mesmo sem enredo, história ou narrativa alguma, só por aparecer. É só dar uma história intrigante, que faz pensar e que envolve outras pessoas que vêm reclamar? Ridículo, não sabem o que é uma boa história. Série é feita só de protagonista não. Reclame o que quiser da BOC, mas jamais que suas séries são sem qualidade ou que o enredo não seja extremamente interessante e bem dirigido. As atuações tbm são muito boas. Dead Friend Forever foi o melhor terror tailandês depois de Shutter. Vamos pedir menos construção de séries BL e mais de séries com personagens homossexuais como protagonistas, ou seja, não formato de novel BL e sim de séries com qualidade, com roteiro, boas atuações, diálogos ricos e fotografia cinematográfica.

Sorry to say,but i am so dissappointed with BOC now. in the starting i was all praise for boc and mentioned in diff platforms that other agencies like gmmtv should learn frm BOC, how they quality series with actors who can really act and promoting the series withoit any cringey fanservices. Bot now i jave to say,boc pls learn frm gmmtv. How they manage their actors. Quite a lot of their artists have created huge contrversies. But did any of them had to leave the agency, or had their career end. No. Gmmtv saved their as*es with some sloppy apologies. But boc was the first to abandon build as soon as his issue startd. If boc wanted to they could really save the issue from being such a big mess( after knowing wat he said abt bible i truly believe he didnt deserve to be bible's partner. If both actors doing an NC scene are of illegal age and both agree to doing the scene, there should be no issue. This is beginning to sound exactly like a conservative group of straight people hating the gay motion of sex, although not actually sex at all. That’s crossing a line that people are blind to seeing. Seems like the public and videos like this are the ones having an issue. Should people outside the law and outside the company’s be responsible to sensor NC scenes regardless if barely 18 but legal and actors agreeing to do the scenes. Are they under duress for any reason.
Seems the general public are the ones not wanting NC scenes in the BL series which is too bad and no one else cares really. The NC scenes are what sparks up the popularity of BL’s. No one wants to admit that.

I personally skipped the NC scenes. The problem is minors. They're pushing the boundaries and see what they can get away with. I am concerned about minors who cannot make their own decision and need their parents to approve and judging from history, parental approval could turn into instructions the minor had to follow.
Couldn't care less if these adult actors consented to even have real sex on screen but the limit should be set for minors. Minors cannot consent and that's it.
Most of the BL stories I have seen are less to do with porn and more to do with long term relationships. We can see porn elsewhere.

Since i mostly just watch bl out of thailand i dont have a wider perspective of what else people are watching, the level of intensity for nc scenes in series and movies over there. Boc certainly is more mature in their content than many others, but they aren't the only ones putting sex in many episodes and not just ep 8 or 12 like some series. Do we not remember playyboy and only friends? I am so confused by 4 minutes, but it also entertaining me with something completely different. @charmcat123 I feel like the actors careers are theirs to do with as they want. BOC announced they are no longer a talent management company so if an actor wants something different, they will leave when their contract is up. Sounds like BOC is moving towards limited time contracts for their projects when they hire an outside actor, like Jes, for a certain amount of time. So any of those who leave BOC could still work for them for a future project. The thing is, when you only produce 1 project a year, it's hard to give everyone an acting role in it. So best they go elsewhere to a company or agent who can pursue acting work or events for them!

Perth was always freelance. He didn't leave BoC, he had a freelance contract for Kinnporshe and was done when it ended.
Yeah he was doing Cutie Pie right before or during, I can't remember. Perth talks about it in one of his videos on RUclips about how some of the actors of Kinnporsche helped him how to play Jay in Cutie Pie. (he says they didn't know LOL) I love Perth.

I don't care about a Genre but I always point out why is NC scenes necessary? In any kind of drama. The actors or actresses may be 18 or 30 or 50 why is it necessary to show intimate scenes, of u have a strong plot why these scenes are necessary?? And why do the actors or actresses accept to these scenes and its shocking to know the parents of actors approving these kind of scenes. This shows the people mentality.

This is true. I was there from the beginning, KPTS. And I'm fed up when Build allegations came, i ended up unfollowing every cast, except Build. I was frustrated with BOC actions. And now, 4minute's out, about Fuaiz, this is not right, his acting skill is superb, but something is not right, they did him dirty, his too young, BOC is the worst company

Why? 1-at 18, he is legally an adult and 2- the age of sexual consent in Thailand is 15. I don't see anything gross about it. You appear to be trying to force your own strictures upon the series. They had to get consent from parents to do the NC scenes in DFF so, more than likely they had to for the NC scenes in 4minute. 2- Just because something is "legal" doesn't make it okay.
