d'arce: blindly rushing in for legarde
cahara: didn't have money to prepare, money is the reason he went in the dungeon in the first place
ragnvaldr: blind rage for legarde
enki: overconfidence, knowing he can cast spells and summon things

This is a great story for DND character. Guy with paranoia afraid of the ghost of his uncle which haunts him every night and decides to became cleric for revive him and stop the ghost trolling :D
I know for this run it was basically pointless knowledge but you can use the leg sweep on the uterus before the embryo drops out you will destroy the legs and the embryo immediately.
It will still play the few lines of the embryo falling and getting close but there will be no enemy.
I found this out by accident in a run where I tried to become as op as possible and getting all the skills.

I think that the reason as to why they don't have that much supplies is general poverty, Cahara wasn't too wealthy as far as I know. Plus they probably didn't expect horrors of such weight to lie inside them.

Having no suplies helps them learn dash, cahara is not as interested in le garde but he wants money anyways, and probably knows le garde is going to die if he didnt hurry, and with enki he can go more calmly, which is why he is the hardest character to learn dash
If there is a thing I love in any challenge run I do is when someone justifies the premise I make
- Here, dude, here is all your stuff you might need in the dungeon, including healing and mind restoring items
- What stuff? I was just planning to do hunger reset for 10 hours straight

You truly always go above and beyond for your Fear & Hunger challenge runs. The blindfolded run is bound to be something quite special to which I will definitely be looking forward to.
P.S. You could also do a test run of sorts for the blindfolded run where you wouldn't be able to see the game, but chat would be able to help you navigate and perform certain actions (if they don't troll you).

I assume no one brought excess supplies because no one expected a trip into a dilapidated prison to turn into a multi day adventure. The dungeon also magically drains your strength so they wind needing more food than they realistically would have expected to.

I didn't really enjoy playing the game that much, because I don't really enjoy trying to figure out and understand these kinds of things from scratch (Cause im dumb), but its so entertaining to watch your narrative of learning and implementing so many different things in the game. I'm barely at the intro and the mini rant about the characters coming into the dungeon unprepared ending with the "BUT THE OTHER TWO?? NO COMMENT." - i'm already dying laughing, this video is gonna be good
All this talk of boss runbacks and impossible difficulties make you sound like a true souls player
Well here are my headcanons of why Cahara dind't came prepared to the worst place on the earth:
1: He thought the stories were just bluff so dind't took the proper preparation
2: Bro was broke so no money to actually prepare himself
3: The dudes that gave him the mission stated a absurd time limit so yeah bro rushed to the Dungeons
1: it's still a literal dungeon
2: "starts with 30 silver coins"
3: can spend the night before the mission at the brothel

I like how this run is essentially just a giant mess of past challenges. The “no looting” rule is very similar to the no RNG run mixed with the no menu run(s)
Yeah I love doing hybrids of previous runs which are harder than those and see the limits
Not sure if you did it on purpose or not, but the way your thumbnail looks reminds me of Mitten squads thumbnails for his fallout challenge runs and I'd like to think his influence has reached the Funger community which makes me very happy. RIP Paul. And RIP Fraps mind.
I'm not really a fallout player, actually I've never played any fallout games in my life, but eventually I may approach those!
The final challenge run of Funger will be for Frapollo to beat it whilst currently suffering the effects of fear and hunger, alternatively in constant terror and starvation.
Reasons why the characters didn't bring equipment (my head cannon)
Cahara: is poor and can't afford starting gear
Enki: a man of knowledge, not prepared fora fight?

My favorite thing about this video was all the extra syllables because of his accent.
At this point it feels like Frap could be one of the people you encounter in the dungeon who just live their now after learning all it's secrets

I really want to see the same challenge for Termina. There are more starting options, so there must be an optimal playthrough. However the ending A (with Kaiser's death) is unobtainable because you need to collect some gasoline cylinders to turn on the elevators. However other two endings are mostly the same with the difference in fighting R'her, so it is better to focus on the easier one. The main problem is to open the gates to the city: there are only two ways of doing that: dealing enough damage in combat and shooting with a trenchgun, however the second one will require you to start as Levi (I have never played as Levi, but I heard that he can start with a trenchgun). Unfortunately, bonesaw is unobtainable in these rules, so you won't be able to easily kill your teammates, you have one Gro-Goroth circle next to father Hugo, there you can try to sacrifice them, but this will turn them hostile, however, fighting a human contestant is always way easier than fighting moonscorched one. Also stattuates can be not free to collect unlike Gods' souls in the first game, as you can have access to basement of church of Alll-Mer through sewers (see heartless one guide). I will also try this challenge one day, though my skill is very poor. Good luck!
Actually now I think that it is more manageable with Marina because she has Necromancy skill which will be very useful against Per'Kele. On top of that she can have Vinushka's skin bible and chalk, so she can go to city without opening the gates. The only problem I see here (with every character) is Sergal fight: if he is not killed during encounter in Church of Alll-Mer, he will drop a spear and you will automatically take it, failing the mission. If you kill him, he will leave a corpse that you may not search continuing the mission. The only way to skip the fight is to open the gates to Museum and Tower in inner city with brute force, which has 4000 health and can't be opened with starting equipment (otherwise it would be easier to kill Sergal). If you know any other ways to skip Sergal fight, please tell me, I really want to know.

This is the first time I have ever heard someone mention the full clear of a floor earns you a free save zone.
I have known about this for a few months but figured it was well known this never talked about.
Also, if you DO get a coin flip on a cleared floor, you fail and nothing attacks so you can walk out the room and walk back in and retry.
Yes you can, but for this challenge time was vital, so any waste of time was a problem, that's why I was sure to just skip the coinflips

I started my first playthrough because of Connor talking about this on TrashTaste. I had no idea this game had dash. I did my first run on Terror and Starvation as Enki, starting with necromancy. Not on purpose or anything, just that's how I ended up doing it.
I wonder if it even is possible in Termina... Although considering that you either have to fight the final boss solo, or burn through logic somehow, I doubt it
