- Lauderdale County Circuit Judge Benjamin Graves handed down Casey White’s sentence on Thursday, following his recent plea deal for his April 2022 escape from the Lauderdale County Detention Center.

Yep it's called a plea bargain plus I'm guessing they didn't have a case against Casey about Vicky unaliving herself so they had him trade or plea out one charge for the other but I've never heard of a life sentence for escape Ever
Why is he wearing orange in trial??? They normally HAVE to be in civilian clothes for trial.

You get the PRIVILEGE of wearing a suit during your trial when it is a JURY trial.
In a trial not all inmates get to wear civilian clothes during trial cause Megan Boswell here is going to trial & a judge has already ruled she don't get to wear civilian clothes plus Casey was being sentenced

There’s no practical reason to keep him alive but life for escape does send a strong message to those who have changed their minds about wanting to be in prison…
Dropped the arguably more serious charge and still spending the remainder of his life in prison. Weird justice. But justice nonetheless
He just got charged just with escape and given life because 100% proof of escape and cant be argued in court. They could argue that the bad cop wasn't murdered and suicide. Unless you can argue suicide in lue of a felony is murder.
