I really like him in this season, because instead of making him the angsty teen he was in the Wildbrain era, the writers kind of went “yeah, that was just a phase” and proceeded to bring back the “Master Lloyd” we saw in season 7-8. Sure, he had every right to be salty after the stuff he went through, but I really missed seeing the version of Lloyd who just really likes helping people and really looks up to Master Wu. (I love how they still kept Wildbrain Lloyd’s “awkwardness”, like when he burnt the tea and epically failed to summon the training course thing)
Agreed. I love Lloyd this season. He balances being a mature and calm leader/teacher with awkward. He’s trying his best as a teacher but things don’t work and leads to hilarious moments
I love the interactions between Lloyd and Sora and Arin. It's fun to watch him try and sometimes fail to be like Master Wu, while still needing to intervene every so often.
Lloyd has come so far from a little sh*t to a legendary warrior. Poor kid’s been through the ringer. 😭 I fangirled so hard when I first saw the theme song, Lloyd is such a badass this season 😂
Lmao the "little s-" I can't ahaha🤣 but its true tho and I agree to you, he really did come far, from the Lloyd that always causing a trouble when he was a child to the Lloyd that we now know today
Lloyd’s gone through a lot of character development. He goes from a bratty kid who wants to be an evil warlord like his father, to the legendary Green Ninja (formerly the Golden Ninja), to leader of the ninja team and now a wise master like his uncle.
Lloyd was toying with that guard and somehow become like master wu when his students are lazy at his first day, he also order an army of dragons and took it to the center of impirium man that's bold
Well technically he is a weekly fighter mans fought snakes, stone warriors, skeletons etc. I’d say by this point stuff like this isn’t new to him since he has experience
Love how Lloyd is pretty much unmatched in this series. He's a seasoned fighter so the only way the villains can beat him is through overwhelming means. Like Splinter in TMNT.
4:16 till 4:26 Kai and Lloyd just being big brother and little brother. I really love the sibling interactions between them it's always funny to watch lol.
Which one do you prefer Lloyd's new voice or his old voice 🤔 me I personally prefer his old voice because he turned from a kid to a teen but still had the heart and mind of a kid.

It feels like he is growing up while still being the same Lloyd a lot of us grew up watching. After Crystallized (not ashamed to admit I like it despite its flaws) he needed this.
Every time Lloyd goes in to fight by himself, YOU KNOW IT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN. On of my favorite scenes of him this season was when he walked up to the Dragon Hunters by himself, single handedly beat all of them and said to to Rapton "Leave now or be destroyed." Reminded me a lot of Luke in Return of the Jedi. Lloyd was an absolute GANGSTER this season and I'm so happy they're giving Lloyd the respect he deserves. They easily could have made him useless, uninvolved, or even a washed up, old grump in favor of the newer characters but they didn't and so grateful. It's harder to write the story so the legacy character is still heavily involved in the plot but they did with it anyway because it's the far more intuitive and obvious thing for Lloyd to do. He wouldn't just sit around, he would be involved and continue to be nice to the new characters. Dragons Rising stays true to his character and in the context of so many terrible modern sequel movies, that's a much appreciated rarity!
It is technically true as Pretty much til now we've gotten the origin and story of everyone, I think Lloyd simply stands out because of his character this season, I love how he was written this season part 1
He's so adorable and badass in this season! I finally feel and see his maturity clearly now and not the emo teenager phase that he's always be, I'm so proud of you, Lloyd 😭
after the trainwreck that is crystallized, LLoyds character was completly destroyed. Im so glad that they made him... bearable and fun again? I hated him in crystallized but in Dragon's rising he is presented so well.
They threw too much trauma at him in crystalized so his character went into a different direction. However I loved to see him in a different way in Crystalized but I like his other character more
I like how the first proper scene of Lloyd in Dragons Rising is him showing off his swordsmanship without using his elemental power at all, which to us old viewers is a clear signal that 1) He has closed up the gap he had compared to the other ninja when it comes to non-elemental malee combat 2) He is at this point skilled and knowledgable enough to not overrely on his elemental power, one of the first clear signs he is ready for the Master title
This season (which I haven't watched fully only on episode five or four I can't remember)made me Fangirl so hard when I saw Lloyd in this shot (at the beginning)
I absolutely love dragon’s rising and how they went about Lloyd, Arin, and Sora. Lloyd feels like THE Legendary Green Ninja. He’s super cool and he’s trying to be a teacher. But he’s also imperfect and funny and immature at times- something that is relatable and makes him more enjoyable for us fans. Arin’s powers are super cool and he just has a great personality. I love that he bakes lol. And I relate to struggling to learn and perfect his soinjitzu and being frustrated by it because I have a learning disability. I know that he probably doesn’t but I like to imagine that’s why he’s having trouble with his spinjitzu. I think sora’s design is AWESOME! And I like that they went straight into her backstory and didn’t skimp on it and gave her a super interesting background. I love how she has ties to imperium and how much she cares about dragons.
You don’t know how glad I was with Lloyd’s character shift. His…complete brat phase in the latter half of the Secrets of Spinjitzu seasons (not so much 11 and 12, but definitely after that). So glad he grew out of it, I actually like him again and no longer feel like smacking him upside the head!

He was reacted like 'boom!' or whatever it calls like about Nya's boyfriend and I like that reaction at all, but still I loved this clip that had so much moment about him when training them, mad, excited, annoyed, joking, all of it!
