God damn they just get better and better. Although Jamie’s vocals are a bit shot here (don’t think it’s actually deterioration, I think it’s a mixture of illness and exhaustion), the band just gets bigger and better. Rick and Ryan are absolute gems and amazing guitarists, Jake’s vocals have improved a fuck tonne, and Dan is just one of the best drummers going around (also the fact he writes majority of the music just blows my mind). So glad I got to see these guys blow up after The Guilt and The Grief ep. Legends.
He’s improved so much, and I don’t know whether he has been taking vocal lessons, trained himself or what. The first time I saw them live he struggled to hit high notes and his voice kept breaking (I think back in 2015/16?), then you look at the Unify video from a few years ago and he’s a bit better but still struggling. Over the last year he has improved so much and his vocals are amazing.
The live videos from UNIFY always sound rough, especially the vocalists! And to be fair, it was freezing cold, outdoors and quite late at night! It sounded way better on the night
@@aoiDJ this sounds about right man. Even just from his talking in the intro before the song, you can tell those vocal chords are struggling. And the "thank you" at the end. Needs to be careful with that...unless he was fighting a small cold or similar (doesnt sound like it)
