Crazy af dude, I first saw a video of him playing Critical Acclaim by A7X back in 2013 or 2014. When I found this band just days ago and saw the guitarist I was like wait...i think i know this guy Lmao

Thought same about the Jake ..so good compared to early cleans live that were a bit dodgy..i posted somewhere inda past that he needs to practise more playing bass n singin cos it was a little aaron from amity-like live vs recordings. I thought only prob was he came in late in 2nd chorus..but playin it back it was cos Jamie didnt finish his verse (whose voice was shot!!) n Jake wasnt sure when 2 start..dohh
I think Jake's clean vocals are better than Jamie's. But everyone should decide for themselves
@@hakanozgul7314 I like both of their clean vocals. Jamie tends to be in the higher range which gives them some really cool harmonies when they perform live. Jake is definitely one of my favorite clean vocalists right now, especially because he also plays bass like me haha

I saw them in Feb, both vocalists absolutely fucking smashed it. Jamie was a god. I was concerned after Unify, but all doubts were murdered after seeing them on The Death Of Me Tour. Haven't been as impressed with a vocalist since Kyo from Dir en grey

A lot of videos where vocals are isolated make screams sound pretty rough in general for sure.
Yeah I think it was an off day, I caught them in Feb after they released The Death Of Me and he was flawless.

Jamie is such a tight vocalist, he is clearly off and sick. I saw them live a couple of times and he was always the tightest vocalist of the evening!

I think its technique more than anything. Back in like 2018 or so Jinjer was touring heavily over 200 shows a year, most tours had shows every single day and barely a break between tours. But the singers screeming technique was super on point, as to not damage her voice and she knew how to recover. She hardly had issues.

I loved that crack in Jamie’s voice in the second verse. Shows he’s tired but it adds a raw element to the song. Love it.

I love these guys so much, ive seen them 4 times in a row now every time they were in Adelaide and i would gladly pay double the price every time since just to see them again. They are just such a genuine band that cares for the fans more than they do themselves sometimes. They're great guys too they always come down to see the crowd after and when you chat to them they're so humble about it.
plus their music speaks for itself.

Yes true. But to be honest, his vocal style is one of the hardest you can do. I know this first hand how hard it is to perform a whole set this style. Now considering these guys were touring years straight. His voice is still a monster
You can't really go off of Unity's live recordings. It's their fault. They need to really strip his vocals back due to the crowd. I guarantee the crowd was just as loud as him. So in doing that, it takes a chunk out of his vocals. Like you hear is distortion. Which doesn't sound that best when isolated.

People saying that Jamie sounds off, there is a fan video from this same show for Consume where he sounds like a total beast. This video probably used the mic's direct signal without all the reverb, delay and compression that we would hear from the crowd. He actually sounds pretty good when he just screams. The thing is this song is just hard as fuck to sing. So it makes sense that his cleans don't sound on point when the mic signal is less processed
