Started working on the animation a year and a half ago before the pandemic hit and caused a big delay, I actually envisioned doing a series of short films, but time constraints got to me. Considering this was by far the most difficult thing I've ever worked on (literally finished it 5 min before Kickstarter launched due to computer crashes), I'd say this is enough for now XP

I also grabbed the Zelda Cinematica vinyl off bandcamp. Now I'm gonna beg you to consider doing a vinyl release for your Chrono Trigger Cinematica, so I can complete my trinity of favorite games/series, lol. I will literally kill a fool for it! I'm super excited for this Metroid album though (I even added on the standard edition vinyl, rofl. I'm an addict, send help.)

That depiction of suitless Samus is by far the best depiction of her that I have ever seen in ANY medium. This depiction of her is canon to me. Absolutely.
Most live action remakes are trash. Only on rare occasions do they turn out good such as Detective Pikachu and the Sonic Movie. But then you see freaking Dragonball and The last Airbender live action movies which look god awful.
I assume Crusader Bloonicus ses DEUS VULT! means the mistreatment of fan made games (best examples is AM2R prior to Samus Returns' release), ROM translations and whatnot that were taken down.
This is very well made, very realistic graphics but I have to say, I immediately thought how great Metroid Dread is, not being as realistic as this, the animations of both Samus and Kraid in Dread are just fantastic.

Now that I think of it, if you were to make a Metroid movie, even a short film, you'd probably have to make it completely CGI. So much of it would have to be CGI to begin with, that it would just make sense.
Yeah in my opinion it's one of the few video games that could have a video game movie adaptation and it would still work. Just make the animation look good, write a good story, and keep the characters faithful to the games and you're good to go. I even have a prototype cast. Samus Aran: Scarlett Johansson A.D.A.M.: Paul Bettany Ridley: Benedict Cumberbatch Mother Brain: Jane Fonda The Chozo: well that depends on which Chozo specifically for example Graham Mctavish would kill it as Raven Beak.
We should get PrimitiveTechnology to do a feature length film as well, since so much of his work is about developing a spoken narrative. I mean what could possibly go wrong?
Unfortunately, Samus definitely qualifies for Heresy at this point (being part xeno with at least TWO different xenotypes in question, of which one (the chozo) has at least TWO variants within her gene seed). But hey. If Samus is heresy, I am fine with being a heretic. (just don't tell the inquisitor)

Plus, you have to remember that it wasn't until AM2R was released that it was shut down even though it was a relatively well known project. 1:38 Samus doesn't change weapons using her left hand. In prime, if you have x-ray equipped, you can see she changes weapons by adjusting her hand position inside her arm cannon.
i loved how the missile doesn’t just appear inside and he animated it being manufactured inside the arm cannon. if theirs one thing that bothers me about metroid its how the hell does she store hundreds of missiles inside her arm cannon
My headcannon is that her power suit is largely biological and uses biomatter from the surroundings to automatically craft ammo and energy. This explains how it can get ammo and energy from enemies.

Also backing this up is that in the Prime games - which you see through Samus' eyes, since it's in first-person - the ammo and energy pickups you get are displayed as holograms of sorts. Perhaps that's her suit making it easy for Samus to know at a glance what the exploded matter from whatever she just killed will be made into.

I’ve always wanted a Metroid movie of some sort, and this looks really good. The amount of quality here is amazing for someone working alone. I noticed some missing shadows here and there, but I know that the final product will be refined and polished. ZSS looks beautiful as well. All in all, 9/10 for me.
