This is why high school sports will forever and always be the way to go. Pros and collegiate athletes are cool to aspire to be like in some ways, but there is not better brotherhood/sisterhood, no better bond, and no better coaching job than high school sports.

Ant Truth Bro a lot of these kids are working countless days at week to support themselves or their family, but for a lot of kids, football (or any other sport) IS their ‘job’ and the dedication, commitment and strength it takes to train and progress at it is arguably harder than the jobs that the conventional person would pursue. Even though you might not like football, you should NEVER discourage kids that are pursuing their dreams, especially those that are in potentially disadvantaged or abusive environments.

I'm 34 years old, but I wish I could have a coach like this in my life that could talk to me sometimes. Change your attitude and things are gonna get better. I felt that, and need that guidance at times.

was in a similar situation as this young man and if he ever sees this comment i promise it will get better. football in hs definitely helped out A LOT for me. got my mind off things. now i’m in college pursuing a degree something that no one where i’m from has ever done so its special to me. no matter what always stay humble and keep hustling.

High school sports teach you a lot especially as a teenager it can be hard to mature and take every situation and make it better but I will say that sometimes one coach can ruin a sport that you love if all they care about is winning and not the relationship and what’s best for the team

My highschools football team (Dayton Highschool in Nevada) was just kicked out of our league because we didn’t have enough funding. It sucks because we can’t have the bonding and brother hood most schools get And we don’t get Friday night lights anymore. It’s cool to have videos like this of teams struggling but pushing through. It gives me a little hope for my highschool.
