FINALLY! A youtuber who knows the right way to make a soft shell crab sandwich! I'm from Maryland originally and you do them the way I remember. Just wish I could get some down here in Arkansas.
100% agrre, as a kid who grew up in Maryland for the beginning of his life, and used to eat these as a kid a lot, this was done 100% as i remember it. I have been craving one of these for months and months, and am going to go crazy when i go on vacation this summer and order as many as i can. Thanks for the upload, made my mouth literally water!
Paul, you did real well here, right down to the choice of beer. It's second nature for us Eastern Shoremen to do this, but a lot of people not from the Shore don't know how to do this right. It's good that there's a reference on You Tube to help people "git their Merl'in on." Keep it up boss and thanks for sharing this with the world.
Very nice. I'm about to get started on mine. For all you Marylanders out there. You can pick up soft shell crabs from Mel's in Huntingtown md. AT 5 bucks a pop this time of year. Don't for take a look at the jumbos hard boys!🦀
KiloSixTV you won’t be able to really tell, you don’t feel or taste the guts and stuff while eating it. they’re really good, you should try it just once!! so worth it
Cool vibe between son and dad ,Son no better time for a beer Dad big enough isn't it son it's five o'clock somewhere right dad yup pour e'm up son lol.
Surprised that you left out some important components of a traditional MD soft shell sandwich. First and for most, crab has to be fresh as in still alive.. Never frozen or already expired.. I won't touch a prefrozen soft shell. You lose 90% of the flavor once frozen and thawed. No instructions on proper cleaning method of the crab??? Once cleaned and rinsed soak in buttermilk to plump up the crab. 30 to 45 minutes. Never seen olive oil before in a traditional. Use butter only. Gotta have a fresh MD tomato to complete on regular white bread only. It's hard to find the real thing prepared and cooked properly even in MD. I appreciate the effort but you missed several key steps.
John 14:6 KJV, "Jesus saith, I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." 1 Peter 2:24 NIV, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." John 3:16 KJV, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". Romans 3:23-24 NIV, "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus". John 8:12 KJV, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life". Jesus is the only WAY to God, the TRUTH of salvation, and the Breath/Bread of LIFE. ACCEPT Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Sins separate us from God because He's Holy. All sins will be forgiven and erased through faith in Christ Jesus. God ♥ you, is alive, merciful, faithful, truthful, and is waiting with His arms wide open FOR YOU! For Jesus did not come to establish a religion, but to become a mediator between God and men. Through the Grace of God, Jesus was given to us by paying the price at the Cross at Calvary. All you have to do is CONFESS from your heart and through your mouth that He had died for your sins, that He had risen from the dead, and ask that He forgives you and that He comes into your life and become your Lord and Saviour. A sinner cannot save a sinner, only a sinless person can. That sinless Being is Jesus Christ Himself. Through the faith in Christ Jesus, the sick was healed; everywhere He went, He healed the blind, the mute, the deaf, the demon-possessed, raised the dead, as well as performed many miracles; He also walked on water, turned water into wine, calmed the storm with His command, and was raised up from the dead. Miracles are still being seen today! Jesus is our helper, our healer, our refuge/protection, and our strength for when time gets tough. God is standing and knocking at the door waiting for your answer right now because THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS COMING. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Shows off MD soft shells for the most part. but Man the crabs are small and that tomato is weak. I'll make a better MD soft shell video as I grew up crabbing the Chesapeake bay. you hit most the keys points but you can really land a better sandwich and crab when done right. And if you don't crab find a real good crab house over the bay bridge (P.T. Hambleton) is one. *Note* I like old bay, but J.O. spice (or home made) is the real crabbers seasoning.
@@RegesterForDinner I have not had time to get over the bridge yet to pick up some crabs from P.T. Hambletons. I'll get it done but making video's is just on the side line for me. My garden tomatoes are about to hit so it will be time for some soft crabs! And I'm not your "guy" buddy.
Have you ever had fresh caught catfish? It (softshell crab) had a tiny bit of that earthy/muddy taste that catfish has, but a nice strong crab flavor. Also the shell has about the same consistency as the skin on a bratwurst. Don't knock it until you try it!

I’m sure you can order frozen ones online! But yes there’s only one way to make this sandwich. Thank you for watching!

Not 4 o'clock in the morning. Don't joke.
Does it taste like regular crab legs
They definitely have a sweet taste similar to crab legs. But they are more similar to the mustard of the crab!
Send your son and his big can of beer in the other room while you do the cooking
