Hey Brett and fam you’ve really excelled on this vlog, wow what a fantastic video!!! Shame about the ‘stick in the muds’ at the caravan park they would’ve been a real nuisance 😩 The drone footage was spectacular and the fishing expedition was amazing! Those crocs were bloody terrifying! Kelly’s Knob (hahaha the name gets me too ) was breathtaking and definitely on our to do list when we get to WA 😊 thanks for sharing this adventure and great to see you guys spending time with grandad 👍 the kids would’ve loved it 😊 take care and see you in the next adventure 🎥
Thanks so much for such a thoughtful comment. I'm super proud of how the vlog turned out, and your comment is very much appreciated. Thanks so much for watching.
Hey guys, thanks for another great video. The drone footage was awesome. You wouldnt get me out on that river, so many huge crocs 😮😂 What a special place to have the kids' gradpa stay. That sunset walk was beautiful, wel done Mel! Hope the permanents didn't cause you guys too much grief. Enjoy the week ahead, safe travels. See you guys next week ❤
Thanks Lyn, yeah those crocs... I'm surprised they allow people on that river. When we finished fishing and got back, we were filleting the fish and a 5M croc just pops is head out at the shore. He was there waiting for a feed, but he would also of been there watching us get on and off the boat, imagine if someone slipped... Anyway, was a very cool experience. Thanks so much for watching and see you next week.
Great episode. Really enjoyed it. We bought our new caravan last week. We are excited. Ivanhoe crossing will definitely be on my list and also barra fishing. Fantastic 👌
Sometimes some of the permanent residents in a Caravan Park seem to think they have a monopoly on people when it comes to the day to day travelers. We once had a bad experience at Exmouth years ago with some permanents☹. Not too sure if we would want to be sitting out on the water in such a small boat with those large crocs who would be looking for their next meal. Another great video as usual, great part of Australia👍
Thanks guys, cranky permanents that don't seem to realise they live in a C.P park hey. The cranky one having a go at my kids in the toilet would leave the door open while she 2's as well so my kids told me, maybe she needed a shaperone... Yes, those crocs sure were an eye opener, pretty bloody scary...
@@anthonymcneil8778 we have been to Kununarra several times and were not aware until recently what there was so much to see and do there. It is only a few main attractions that we all hear of, we only find the other interesting spots by watching RUclips.
Hey Brett, BTW I meant to let you know that we conjured up your Nachos recipe (episode 28 for anyone else who might be interested) and man it was delicious!!! I can understand why Mel loves it 😊 thanks again for sharing it on your Svedo’s cooking segment 👨🍳
Mate I love your drone work, do you mind telling me what type of drone you have. I have never used one before but would like to learn, so maybe a starter drone suggestion would be better.
We use a mavic air 2s. It's an excellent drone and a second hand one wouldn't be too expensive. The other option for you are the mavic minis but they are quite small and affected by the wind more. The mavics basically fly them selves so don't worry, they aren't hard to learn to fly.

Such a spectacular part of the country and you showed it well! Some of those crocs were huge, i would of wanted a bigger boat 😂

Kununarra is so underrated. People never stop long enough to see anything, they usually can’t wait to get on the Gibb.
@anthonymcneil8778 we did, and loved it 👊

Really enjoyed this video so much to watch and love fresh Barra
Fresh Barra was epic, thanks for watching and commenting 😀.
So proud of you Mel. I would of been shaking too. I've caught and cooked Barra too. Amazing.
She's a trooper, facing fears. And how good is fresh Barra.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Video, the fishing looked great, can ask what the cost of the charter was? or was it someone you knew, enjoyed watching, cheers Les & Denise
Hey Les, Hairy Dog charters $400 per person, thankfully grandpa shouted as I couldn't afford that 🤣.
Thanks for watching and commenting 😀.
