An Honest Unpaid/Unsponsored Review of the Soundcore Sleep A10 Earbuds

  • I bought the Soundcore Sleep A10 earbuds by Anker from Amazon in September 2023 and didn't event make it through the week without having issues.
    Who is this for?
    If you just need support to get to sleep, this is an excellent buy.
    Problems with Product
    - Product
    - Earbuds failed to charge on the 3rd night. I found out when I went to connect them and my right earbud was dead. That’s kind of a deal breaker.
    - Music Mode
    - You cannot listen to audio in Music mode for 8-9 hours. This is a deal-breaker for me since I listen to binaural beats while I sleep.
    - Sleep Mode
    - You must use the Soundcore app and upload the proprietary sounds to the earbuds.
    - The sound options are just like you bought a sound machine and placed that in your room. There are no binaural beat options.
    - You cannot use Sleep mode with any other application. The audio gets cut off immediately upon switching to Sleep mode from Music mode.
    Better Option
    “Hearprotek Wireless Headphones, Bluetooth 5.2 Sleep Soft and Lightweight in-Ear Earbuds for Sleeping, 25+Hour Playtime, Ideal for Side Sleepers, Relaxing, Meditating” - $30-$45 USD depending on time of the year/sales

    I don't agree with you. I've also had sleep problems for 20+ years.. I've had some of the best sleep with these I've had in longer then I can remember. You don't comment on how soft they are to wear to sleep in. How do can you stand sleeping with a headset on? Also I'm sure you know you can wreck your sleep by interacting with a phone, you don't want to take a call. The noise cancelling is amazing! there can be noisey gaming blasting out of speakers in the next room which these block. Can you return them at all?
    I know everyone's sleep problems are very unique and individual though it's not for me to say 'you are wrong' but as I say I don't agree these aren't worth trying. Like you there is nothing in it for me to make this comment I am also totally unsponsered.. I'm a regular Joe on a tight budget.

    Thanks for the review. Its a bit surprising that you have no issues sleeping with 20 year old technology with clunky wires and a headset wrapped around your head but these tiny high tech sleep buds keep you from a good nights sleep?

      When the A10s work, they are great. But they almost never fully work. I stopped trying to wear both at once, because they'll constantly connect and disconnect one side.
      The issue I have now is that the volume is stuck so low I can't really hear anything. The "fix" doesn't fix it.

    Good, honest review. I meant to buy these last year and wound up buying the A40's by mistake. I found the same issue in that sometimes, even after I've had them in the charging case, a few minutes after I have them in my ears, I get a "Low Battery," announcement. Fortunately, this is a rare occurrence and while mildly annoying, not a deal breaker. I will say this; when they are charged, they last a really long time. I also find that I only have to charge the case about once a week, which I think is pretty darn good. I don't know if it's because they're a different model, but I am quite pleased with the audio quality, especially listening to music.

    Mine works well: great sound, good battery life, comfortable. Recommended. Use the breathing tips if you feel its a bit uncomfortable. I am a side sleeper.

    Bought mine 2 days ago at Best Buy and they are working great and sound quality is awesome. Very comfortable for extended time and great for side sleeping. I’ve got Apple AirPods Max, Beats and Bonamour Sleep System headphones and/or buds so I’m not a newby. I frankly don’t understand this guy’s review because I’ve experienced the opposite of the problems he experiences. I don’t get it. Why?

      Everyone is different and while they worked for you, they did not work for him nor did they work for me. The app is awful; it never tracked my sleep data and I could still hear a lot of noise with white noise streaming. Also, they are supposedly great for side sleepers, but they hurt my ear when I tried.

    I've been battling with the A10 for almost a year and while I mostly need assistance until I get to sleep, sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and they already died, or is just one of them making sound. And I always use sleep mode. Noise canceling is also nothing stellar. Not to mention the connectivity and charging issues that have been plaguing them since I got them. Let's say I can tolerate their flaws, but thanks to your video I'm ordering the "cheap Chinese" option that you mention. The main reason is because a very good friend of mine have been suffering from insomnia and asked for help, and in my sane mind I simply cannot recommend the A10, especially since they are quite expensive compared to so many other options. So, I'll buy the Hearprotek myself and try them for a few nights before recommending them for her. Thanks for your very useful and honest review.

      They don’t have noise cancelling.

    • @MartinOcando
      @MartinOcando 6 месяцев назад

      They do@@Bungle2010 is just not active but passive noise canceling. I would say noise mitigation, not really canceling really.

    • @Bungle2010
      @Bungle2010 6 месяцев назад

      @@MartinOcando No such thing as "passive noise cancelling". Noise cancellation has to be active by definition.

    Excellent review, I have found the same 5 hour battery life, BT pairing difficulties, one earbud shutting off before the other. I have resorted to going back to my surefire EP4 earplugs. I’m still in the search for noise cancellation earbuds to use for sleeping

    I bought a different pair of 'sleep buds' around this time last year and they've already died. :(
    I'd really like to try the A10s, but not at their asking price given the mixed reviews.

    I purchased a pair about five months ago, it didn’t take long for one of the earbuds to crap out and then the other one crapped out. I’ve called the company twice both times. I got somebody with an attitude. The deal that’s printed on their app is that they will replace the earbudsat half the cost and even though it’s printing clearly on their website, they told me they never had that deal. Thank you. As I’m sure everyone knows anchor is on my Amazon and it’s a black mark on Amazon quality and customer service.😂

    Are you 100% certain that you cannot play audio from outside soundcore app in sleep mode???

    • @slinkybrown
      @slinkybrown 8 месяцев назад +1

      Every review Ive read says when in sleep mode you can only play sleep sounds. However this allows you to be disconnected from your phone and gives you several more hours of battery life
