People on here saying Jose didn't stop barca because they still dominated after both jose and pep left, I get that but the way I see it is Jose was the ultimate speedbump in the way of the dominant barca train that ran fullspeed and momentum. Now think about it this way, a train that goes fullspeed can't stop immediately dead on the spot if the driver puts on the breaks or the train somehow loose power, the train will obviously still keep moving for a fair amount of distance before it comes to a complete standstill due to momentum. Thats how I see this topic. Jose cut out barca's power in 2012 but barca came to a standstill in 2015 because of momentum. After 2015 it was all real madrid dominance up until now so Jose was the architect that broke barca's speed and power, Zidane and Ancelotti just finished the job.
Lol. Taking a sample size till now, when Barca is not at it's best. Clever Keep fooling yourself. Jose is a great manager but these theories are straight out bs.

Mourinho may or may not be a good long term coach, who knows, but what we definitely know is that he teaches players a mentality that shapes the rest of their careers, in a great way. The mindset he promotes is perfect for individual players if they want to win and truly bring out the best in themselves.
I'm always greatfull for what Mourinho did for Real Madrid the 2011-2012 season was a memorable one. Real Madrid was a goal scoring counter attacking team, the best . And it is true that Real Madrid team that Mourinho built went on to the the champions league in 2014-2016-2017-2018
Mourinho's histrionic behavior was a contributing factor but it's not the main reason why Guardiola left Barcelona. Publicly Guardiola stated he left because he was burned out and had nothing more to give. The real reasons for Guardiola's departure are less known. He left because he wasn't supported by Rosell's board, who saw him as "Laporta's man." There were several bad apples on the squad that he wanted to get rid of and the board wouldn't back him. His relationship with the board deteriorated during his last two years as manager; they spoke poorly of him and made fun of him constantly. They removed people close to Pep from the club, including Johan Cruyff as honorary president. Additionally the players were beginning to tire of his intense management style.
Pep quit football for a year. Mou looked like he aged 10 years. It was the most bitter, acrimonious, hated football rivalry in recent memory. It unforgettable, legendary, peak football experience.
Some of you in the comment are saying Pep is better. Ask yourself, has Pep proven that he is capable of doing what Mourinho did at Porto or with an aging Inter Milan squad? On top of that has he proven that he can win with less funding? Show me a team where Pep has gone to and he has not spent half a billion dollars.

I won't say Mourinho ENDED anything, because after he won that ONE league title Barça won it again the following season, with 100 points. The season after that Atletico won, and then Barça again for 3 years in a row.. including a treble in 2015.
Yeah? It ended an era of dominance? It means Barca would no longer easily win the league without any close rivals? Barca did won the league but they didn't dominate?
That's the thing NOBODY no matter what can take from Ronaldo and Mourinho no matter how bad they do later on in life, they managed to match and eventually defeat the greatest Barcelona in history though i would not classify what they did was "ending" anyone's reign, they managed to match and battle the GOAT Barcelona as equals repeatedly which imo is in of itself a huge achievement, winning La Liga against that Barcelona was like winning 2 UCLs tbh, prime Barcelona was insane competition
They won against Barca in 12 ,, actually 12 was not that prime Barca. What Mourinho did with the Inter was outstanding. They stopped Barca when Messi was in his best.
I started watching from 2001. Pep and Jose redefined football and produced teams to match the standards. Nobody has come close to those teams and players both managers had during their respective peaks
As a madridista we should keep in mind the fact that Mourinho made Ronaldo the king of goals, he gave Real Madrid that counter attacking playing style, he made that team, he provided us with that spirit He actually made messi's 91 goals in 2012 or 73 goals in 2011/12 season useless as he won the league with Ronaldo who scored just 60 goals or something like that and the whole team scoring 121 goals it was team of stars barca was overshadowed by messi or I may say they were playing around for him only he was a false 9 but looked like a real 9 that year That year Mourinho made Ronaldo play in different positions with different roles so he couldn't score so many and also he played less games but whatever he did was more effective that's why in my opinion that season Ronaldo was better due to his impact similarly in 2015 messi was better due to his impact though Ronaldo had more g/a in that year Thank you jose for what you did
Mourinho and pep is with barca before. When you manage a top team in the league it heated the situation which the both team have already previous history (derby) so each match is intense and both get on fire as well as their players. It happens the Mourinho came and prove himself that barça can be destroyed and he wants that to be the person behind of destroying totally. when people have one goal they focus and if you can’t get in to it you get frustrated and get heated. That’s what happen to Mourinho, he can’t do it or penetrated the barça totally, he get frustrated and heated in the moment of the match by match by match. It happens, frustration always do find ways under our skin and when it happens we lost ourselves. He did destroyed barça but not totally which is huge achievement for his coaching career btw and I admire him for attempting in doing so. It’s just that era barça is just unbreakable, season after season.. they may fail as like normal team but get back afterwards. It’s like a body cell when get destroyed the RED BLOOD CELLS is there to always fix and you can’t destroyed the entire body. What I love about him even he get defeated he bounce back and he knows the opponents player strength. He praised it publicly and he doesn’t ashamed of that. He accepts and honored the rare talents of a baller 🥅 ⚽️
What make Jose so special, he didn't care if Barcelona win big over Real because he believes it wasn't end of game, there's another way to beat Barcelona and he prove his words, as for UCL, I think it was all about process because Real will always face their horror in big 16 and Jose try to break the curse and he did it by bring Real to semifinal.
man is best at pragmaticism, getting the job done, put achievement over performance. why play beautiful if you can't win? even at roma, 1st season, he already gave them a title.
Jose have gone crazy because he was sure that he will be the manager of Barcelona, but they decided in the last moment to take Pep, who had no experience, Joae was prepared for war😂.
Mourinho to be truely honest was very unlucky with real madrid... I mean he had all the weapons, powerful ones still didnt caught that peak that was meant to be... So unlucky
There was no 4 year league drought by RM. RM won the league in 2008 against Riijkards Barca. 2009 pep came and won everything. 2010 Mourinho was at inter and beat Barca in CL, Barca dominated la Liga with Ronaldo at RM. 2011 Mourinho RM got smashed in first la Liga but Mourinho changed tactics and won copa against Barca. But lost league and CL to peps Barca. 2012- mourinho beat Barca to league. Pep beat mourinho to copa del rey. 2013- pep left Barca. RM won league. Pep was more successful in their head to heads when both at RM & Barca. Trophies when they were both at RM & Barca. Barca- 1CL, 1 leagues, 1 copa. RM- 0 CL, 1 league, 1 copa
This was amazing to watch as it showed pep up for the manager he is, bts of this pep was on the verge of a breakdown through mourinhos team and them tailing on them and mentally getting the better of him, this led to pep leaving as he simply couldn’t handle the pressure
Absolute nonsense. Pep was left high and dry by Laporta into the hands of Sandro Rosell whom he did not like and did not want to be president. They had issues with recruitment and the direction Barcelona was to go. That translated into Pep getting burnt out and even stressing with his players who admitted that he was unhappy that final season. As much as you guys want to give Mourinho all the credit in the world, he was bested the very next season by Pep's assistant. So please, save the fake stories.
keep in mind that Peak Barcelona had the referee on their sides most of the time too. not only they were good on the pitch, but even referees were playing with them, as soon as Busquets and Dani Alves dives, it is easily a yellow at least. it was one thing to have fight against Barcelona, but another when the referee is fighting you as well.
Mourinho not only ended Barcelona's domination in Spain but also in world football that El Clasico win at camp nou in April 2012 is the beginning of Barcelona's misery few days later they lost to Chelsea in UCL semi finals at the same venue Madrid have won 5 La Ligas since then it's been a phenomenal turnaround plus barcelona started to face financial crisis especially after 2015 Mourinho also predicted this in 2010 that Barcelona will get more worse season by season
At Madrid, Mourinho didn't had to do much since Guardiola had fallen out of favor with board + some of the players which resulted in decline in teams performance in his final year.
Mourinho did not do shit. Barcelona kept on winning... Barcelona's reign lasted until 2015. Ad for the era of Guardiola, people are still lost. It was Sandro Rosell who destroyed Guardiola's motivation to train Barcelona and so he left.

Jose due to his political incorrectness has never been appreciated for the work he did at porto,Chelsea, inter, madrid, united and spurs. He got worse off teams and made them better when he left. He gave them clubs identity and belief that they can win and they did with as well as without him. He's much better than Pep because he always took over the difficult jobs and clubs in transitions. Till day the only manager to not loose a single european final and titles with teams who didn't know what winning was before him.
He’s gonna be Madrid manager again one day, he still has a great relationship with Perez

Mbappe missing a pen agaisnt Bayern Jose: I’ve seen this one before
They had a crop of young stars (all credit as they raised them) which were trained and honed to play that revolutionary style. We had to build something to compete which is why they used to get the better of us a lot in the earlier days. Mourinho instilled the foundation of the mentality that still runs in this team to this day. And we are still benefiting off the fruits of his work.
When Mourinho came, real Madrid were struggling in champions league. He changed a lot in real Madrid and gave them the right track from which today real Madrid have been walking on.
Beautiful work, excellent video! very well researched. It brings back a lot of memories!! thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed the video man...happy to see the nostalgia still hits
Clever
Keep fooling yourself.
Jose is a great manager but these theories are straight out bs.

Barcelona broke after Mourinho proved that they can bleed and changed their philosophy into expensive signings to compete.
Mourinho faced a Barcelona team that was simply considered the best team around. During their peak years of 2009-2011, only Mourinho had disqualified them in the Champions League afterwards they kept losing more and more players due to age and the replacements, instead of following their past football identity, they played Real's game of expensive signings, where Real clearly won.

I think Mourinho failed to win UCL with Real Madrid is one of Mourinho biggest regret... others i think is Great...
That fail was neccesary for Real madrid players, after that they learn and win everything. Mourinho was the sacrifice in the process.
2011/12 was the most dominant Real in the modern era. The Zidane team mastered the art of winning big games but this team set league records that still hold, perfect counterattacking and the most balanced version of the galatico project ever.
Absolute tragedy that all the most solid penalty takers missed!
Some Madrid fans would give hate to mourinho for not giving them a ucl but they fail to realize during his match against Bayern he literally put his 3 best penalty takers at first(ronaldo,Ramos and Kaka) not expecting them to miss. Had he reached the final he would’ve beaten Chelsea coming from a Bayern fan
I never liked Mourinho because of his Antics... But man... What a manager he was!!! Also I always loved how he always says "My porto".. Even with his over the top antics, that shows, he always stayed true with his roots...
That was some other time.
Barca with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Pique, etc playing tiki-taka under Pep
Real Madrid with CR7, DiMaria, Ozil, Benzema and other Galacticos under Jose
That was El Clasico, rivalry that was unrivaled❤🙏
Pep said he never played tiki taka
I respect that he achieved a lot in life.
He also have good knowledge over this whole game.
But I still can't really except his strats of almost injuring the Opponent Players.
That’s because your a la liga Spanish boy, your league is not physical it’s weak and slow, mourinho managed in England physical league high intensity high pressure non stop running high pressing, so many leg breaking tackles etc, in England this is very common that is what makes it the best league in the world
@@yasinkhalid3703 not really, the only thing that makes it the best league in the world is the amount of teams with shits tones of money at their disposition and even then Real Madrid alone has many more UCL titles than many top English teams. @@LauraLasan69 again this fallacy that the only way to prove you are a good coach is to take average players and turn them into champions. If that's so why has Mourinho crashed and burned several times with good players? Shouldn't it be an even easier job? Maybe use your brain instead of talking about giving credit when it's not even a relevant example. Pep has obviously improved average players that weren't even rated previously. He's a system coach who has changed football.
Only when faced by an unthinkably talented Barca team (the GOAT) did we get to see the Madrid machine of 2011. After that I started to like their lightning counter game better than total domination of Tiki taka.

Glad you enjoyed the video 👊
Perfectly put!
Man how lucky we were to be alive.. we'll never see two teams dominate the world the way these 2 did and the rivalry these managers had..2 biggest clubs..2 biggest players..2 biggest managers in one era

They won against Barca in 12 ,, actually 12 was not that prime Barca. What Mourinho did with the Inter was outstanding. They stopped Barca when Messi was in his best.
It took the greatest generation in barcelona history to win consistently and even with them mourinho found a way.
Simply the best manager ever given the players at disposal and the results achieved
Somehow i feel the narrator is Jose Mourinho 🤣🤣🤣
Great video
Jose Mourinho is one of the greatest Manager of all time.
I started watching from 2001. Pep and Jose redefined football and produced teams to match the standards. Nobody has come close to those teams and players both managers had during their respective peaks
As a madridista we should keep in mind the fact that Mourinho made Ronaldo the king of goals, he gave Real Madrid that counter attacking playing style, he made that team, he provided us with that spirit
He actually made messi's 91 goals in 2012 or 73 goals in 2011/12 season useless as he won the league with Ronaldo who scored just 60 goals or something like that and the whole team scoring 121 goals it was team of stars barca was overshadowed by messi or I may say they were playing around for him only he was a false 9 but looked like a real 9 that year
That year Mourinho made Ronaldo play in different positions with different roles so he couldn't score so many and also he played less games but whatever he did was more effective that's why in my opinion that season Ronaldo was better due to his impact similarly in 2015 messi was better due to his impact though Ronaldo had more g/a in that year
Thank you jose for what you did
Can't wait for the next video man 😀
These masterminds (jose, carlo and zidane ) destroyed Barcelona as a club 🔥🔥🙌
They never destroyed barca, barca saverly fucked them but barca's own recruitment policy and president destroyed them.
Where did barca fuck them lol
Hes the best candidate to bring real Madrid back to life
Mourinho and pep is with barca before.
This was the peak Spanish domestic football era 💥💯
I thought this was real appreciation video
What make Jose so special, he didn't care if Barcelona win big over Real because he believes it wasn't end of game, there's another way to beat Barcelona and he prove his words, as for UCL, I think it was all about process because Real will always face their horror in big 16 and Jose try to break the curse and he did it by bring Real to semifinal.
man is best at pragmaticism, getting the job done, put achievement over performance. why play beautiful if you can't win? even at roma, 1st season, he already gave them a title.

An Accurate title would be "How Mourinho stopped Barcelona from ending Real Madrid's reign of terror".
