- Premiered at the 2003 LSGHAA Homecoming, this is the first part of the "One Song Trilogy" featuring students from various La Salle campuses all over the Philippines singing the Alma Mater. Soundtrack was arranged, conducted and produced by Vic Santiago. Production supervision was by Gang*Green.

This is truly timeless. La Salle was the original school to practice this tradition of singing the alma mater hymn after NCAA or UAAP regardless of the outcome of the game. La Salle has instilled in me the competitiveness and values to give back to the country. ANIMO!

The Brothers continously instill in us the dictum of "Enter to Learn Leave to Serve" as we strive to be Lasallian Christian Achievers for God and Country.
Lasallians should always aspire to be like the Christmas Nativity Star from Bethlehem, to be beacons of Hope, to be like our LORD JESUS and our founder Saint Jean Baptiste de La Salle in order to "Lead to Serve" for the greater good of others.

The Hail to De La Salle Alma Mater Song was composed and initially sang in a Lasallian school in America. It was 2 American, De La Salle Christian Brothers - Br. Malachy and Br. Richards FSC who composed our iconic battle song. The song is also sung in several Lasallian schools worldwide.
The Alma Mater song was initially sung with a defiant raised fist by the De La Salle cheerleaders after the final buzzer of the only winless NCAA basketball season in the Green Archer sports history.

The several decades old Lasallian tradition of singing Br. Stephen Malachy and Br. Bonaventure Richard's "Hail to De La Salle" Alma Mater Song (composed in 1961) after every Lasallian gathering, event, and varsity game while doing the defiant raised, clenched fist "HAIL! HAIL! HAIL!", salute has been performed since 1964. This famous Lasallian tradition was defiantly initiated by the DLSC cheerleading squad during the final buzzer of the Green Archers' only winless 1965 NCAA basketball season. The DLSC Yell Commanders started the tradition of proudly singing the De La Salle Alma Mater Song at the end of all its then pre-martial law NCAA matches which were later followed and done by other rival NCAA colleges and UAAP universities.
Makes me teary-eyed and so happy at the same time, every time :)

LS Trivia:
In the early 1970s, the Green Archers had their only winless basketball season in NCAA history. Several decades ago the DLSC Green Archers was a very weak basketball team. During the final buzzer of that historical moment, the DLSC cheerleaders began singing the Alma mater song with a defiant clenched fist and sang as loud as they could and after that loss we still felt like champions. Lasallites young and old held back their tears and marched out of the pre-war Rizal Memorial Coliseum proud and still defiant after a heartbreaker of a doomed basketball season.
The Invictus La Salle spirit of ANIMO was never the same after that. That historic moment defined what the AN1MO means to every Lasallian of that generation.
