There's another mode....while in Sport mode, hold traction control down for 5-10 seconds. (competition mode). Turns off stabilitrac and traction control, but you better know how to drive.
Yes. It doesn't display competitive mode or track mode, but it will turn off all the power limiting or stabilizing features. I have the v6. I also own an 01 Vette and it does say competitive mode on the dash when you do the same thing.
Paddle shifters are not as slow as you think. At all.. You were just letting it pass red ling before shifting. When it gets to redline it auto disengages and doesnt do anything until you shift to next gear. if shifting right at/before redline (7k rmp) you will get the perfect shifts. I have the same one and do it all the time. Faster paddle shifting when taking it to redline than just cruising with the paddle shifters too. Still, pretty fast considering. Next time your in one, shift right at the redline before 7k rmp. Youll notice a 100 percent difference instantly.
@4:38 in the v6 engine there are hoses coming off the engine bay that are valved and go straight to the firewall to ‘augment’ the sound while in sport mode. For the I4 turbo when optioned with the Bose 9 speaker pkg, while in sport mode, the stereo enhances the engine sound. It can be disabled via the settings panel.
I totally agree with your assessment !! I have a 2016 2LT RS V6 Hyper Blue Metallic and I love it !! Very powerful car and I can listen to that awesome exhaust all day !!
Only time I use the paddles is to force a downshift when I want. If I'm in manual mode I prefer using the slap stick. It's far quicker in shift response over the paddles.
I love this video man! It shows you don't have to have a big thirsty v8 to have fun in these cars. I have the turbo 4 in mine and I love it, and yes I love sport mode too! I'm getting performance better than my old 1996 Z28 while getting around 32 mpg average. These non v8 cars surprise alot of people nowadays
Why wouldn't you explain the performance mode notification on the dash and the tightening of the steering during performance mode? And that it holds gears longer in sport mode.
Get a tune and you will begin to open up doors to even more power. Starting at 20+ on up on 93 octane for the v6 and 30+ on up using e85. If warranty is an issue, get the Trifecta Performance tune. It has a transparency mode that prevents the computer from showing a flash count and you can revert back to stock at any given time. With my mods and tune I am now at a complete cap out of 315 - 320 whp. If i want more I will have to go forced air.
When I was new to the car, I once got it into Snow/Ice mode by accident. I thought it felt funny but I tried a zero to sixty. I thought I had broken the car. It seems to start in a higher gear in that mode. IIRC the time was about 7.5 sec. I don't plan to drive it in bad weather so hopefully the car will never see that mode again.
Anyone reading this for this car buy two things: KN Cold air intake and a Pedal Commander. You will thank me. Very simple mods that completely change the feel and sound of the car for under $1000.
Question I have camero RS 2017. So there is. 3. Driving mode of course Tour Sport Snow/ice At what mode should I used the paddle shifters ???? And what is the normal M gear the car should be on when not using paddle shifters ?
I have a 2018 v6 , and I’ve beaten my homies r/t charger I think it’s a 2016 about 4 times he beat me like 1 time I think . Very happy with my purchase
Braden Woods thanks for the support! 👍 I think the Camaro V6 is better. You can definitely feel the extra 30hp and the Camaro V6 sounds really good. Camaro is also 200lbs lighter which helps a little bit.
The Test Drive Thank you very much!! That's exactly what I thought, I love both cars but the Camaro is looking the best for me right now. I plan on getting one when I turn 18 in a few months so I'll be posting some videos of it when I get it. 😀
no comparison. Camaro wins. Drove both, challenger feels more like a big boat and much slower. no competition. Get challenger if u just want the car for looks or at least get the r/t model. And might I add, r/t challenger still competes with this regular v6 camaro. Idk about higher speeds but i raced a couple challenger and charger r/t's and me and them were right there head to head. I wouldve thought they would fly pass me with it baing a freaking v8 hemi but nope. Hats off to to the v6 camaro
the way people drive these new cars blows me away! nobody respects things anymore! these cars cannot take the punishment they will all break down because todays punks are stupid! 😊

Yes. It doesn't display competitive mode or track mode, but it will turn off all the power limiting or stabilizing features. I have the v6.

This is what I drive everyday in Sport Mode and this is exactly how I laugh when I get that aggressive acceleration :D
How Is it driving in sport mode for like long commutes where you have to drive at the limit
Can you leave it in sport mode at the track
How do I change into sport mode?
@@2kmessiah_350 there is a little mode button at the bottom if the center console and press it down
Tour on the highways is a major gas saver, I was getting 32 MPG on long hauls.
Doesn’t impact mpg
@@1openborder Yes it does.

@@Dapowerranger does the 2lt come with blind spot monitoring ?

I can confirm that the 10 speed automatic paddle shifters in our 2021 RS V6 are a lot quicker than the 8 speed you tested.

thanks! and that's awesome - it's true you can have a lot of fun without a V8 especially as a daily driver
Turbo 4 for me as well. Surprised me as well.
I must be lucky because my v8 doesn’t drink much gas with regular driving and getting down on it sometimes

Can u drive this car with 87 regular?
@@Grey4lif3you probably can but it will drop performance. 93 octane is recommended

Does driving in sport use more gas? Or does it even matter
Cold start sounds nasty I had to throw a quart of some 5w 20 to get the lifter tick to go away
Anyone reading this for this car buy two things: KN Cold air intake and a Pedal Commander. You will thank me. Very simple mods that completely change the feel and sound of the car for under $1000.

You should drive the 2.0 with an exhaust, intake and tune!

At what mode should I used the paddle shifters ????
And what is the normal M gear the car should be on when not using paddle shifters ?
You can probably use paddles in any mode but Sport makes the most sense to me. M is manual mode if I remember correctly
Does anyone knows to change the driving mode do i need stop completely? Or is doesn't matter and will not damage my camaro?
+The Test Drive I hope you know that you dont have to let go of the gas when upshifting with the paddle shifters.
You’re right. Just a habit from driving an actual manual. But thanks! 👍
How about when you down shift? Do you have to step on brake or no need ?
I had one of these and I miss it so much. Never should have sold, but it was the start of the pandemic and I made money on it so oh well.
Can you switch between modes while driving or do you have to be at a stop
Yes you can switch while driving.

I don’t like tour mode cause you don’t get the aggressive shift pop like sport mode

Double tap traction control in sport mode for competitive mode at your own discretion.
I just bought a 2018 Camaro LT and a impala LT doing both reviews soon lol

Is that rolling or from a dig
R/Ts are VERY SLOW
My v6 shifts alot quicker using the paddle shift, and between shifts it pops back threw the exhaust.
i actually dont feel the diference
Is it okay to switch modes while moving or do you switch modes at a stop?
Christopher Sano it can do it whenever
Which burns the least gas ?
