Thank you very much for your straightforward review and non apologetic approach. I'm considering a 2017 Camaro rs v6 2lt. Lots of folks put the v6 down - when actually it's a phenomenal car and smart business decision in many eyes. You enjoy your car! It looks great! Thanks again for sharing!
Love this car, I brought the same car as a xmas gift to myself. I have the same color...the car is so much fun to drive. I like your stripes. She definitely moves. I drove my car from Maryland to North Carolina for the weekend. No problems at all, we made great time. The sound system is excellent. I only went through one tank of gas. Great car for the money....
I agree. I had a 2018 Camaro 1LT but I sold it at the start of the pandemic. Loved it so much but wish it was stick. I miss it, so I'm picking up a 2018 2LT 1LE tomorrow I found with only 7,000 miles! Can't wait.
Thanks for the useful pointers in your review. You reminded me that renting is a good way to evaluate the car before making a final decision. I have had my current car, Camry V6, for more than ten years without any problems. I am now retired and am looking for a fun car without any turbos that won't cost me a fortune. I have gone around is circles for some time trying to decide on what to get. There are now few choices in the V6 category these days. So after watching your video, I might well rent one and see if I would be happy with it.
I own a 2018 v6 lt, in the radio settings with the 7" monitor screen, you can adjust exhaust percentage. My gas mileage did drop slightly by changing the default setting but, does change the sound/tone. Just go thru menu. It's there.
Thank goodness,a honest to goodness review of the Camaro RS, without the " if I could I would buy a V8 instead". I personally want this car, in RS trim, v6, and I know that it will be enough to for me. Good video
Looking at possibly getting the V6. The 19s will have a newer look and also possible first year bugs. I can probably swing a good deal on an 18. Nice ride! Does the stock exhaust sound good when you get on it? I remember the V8s of the 80s. 220hp. To our generation 330hp in a V6 makes you grin.
7th gen is exactly the same setup other than the front facia and rear end so its unlikely a bug that doesnt exist already will be on it. Stock exhaust sounds ok, you'll definitely end up upgrading it if you don't have the NPP Duel mode option. (Most people w/ stock exhaust upgrade to an MBRP or Borla ATAK). The 6th gen 3.6L V6 is definitely great. I own one, a fully loaded 2LT RS. The only thing I dislike is the gas pedal delay, its definitely noticeable. Curenlty looking at getting a Vetese throttle control till my waranty expires then I'll get a tune.
I was looking at the Camaro, Mustang, or Challenger. I only buy used. This was at the beginning of 2020. I watched prices drop all year long. In November a no-haggle price of 12.9 for the Mustang was offered. Down from 18.5 So I went and test drove it. It was a MCA edition Performance White 305hp 6speed manual, with black leather interior and lots of chrome interior. It had 64k on the clock with new tires. Anyways I wrote a check right there. It’s cheap pony fun car. I put in 2 glass packs and 2 dark horse single chamber mufflers. She’s got a nice rumble. Just got back from a 2.6k road trip today. Realistically it could have been anyone of the those three mentioned above but the Mustang won my eyes with it’s style, leather, and chrome interior.
Plum Crazy SRT8 did you end up selling yours? I'm thinking of buying one in the morning plum crazy 07 but I'm trying to make sure it's worth it and what getting myself into.. Seems like all of the 6.1 guys almost are ditching them.

V6 is the only way to go. More reliable, longer lasting, and all around cost effective.
