Sometimes wives who did not want to get their husbands drunk put water in the wine, sometimes the husband noticed and got angry (Italians are not drunkards, I was just giving an example) if you want cold wine you put it in the refrigerator or in a bucket of ice. And yes it is true that red wine usually should not be chilled.
Hi. First of all, i love it all but correction: coffee is a Muslim drink originally: an Arab-African/ME drink. In short, this is a beverage that was introduced to the western world by the Muslims. So Italians or French or Americans etc are not the best people to ask re anything to do with coffee, no offense, but it's true, like many other things borrowed from the Arab world and incorporated into European culture, for example Croissant originally introduced by the Turkish in Europe and now considered a French pastry. Just fyi, you know. If i want to know about coffee I'd ask an Arab from Northern Africa or the Middle East.
For those that hate pineapple or any odd toppings must remember that prior to 1800's tomato (sauce) was never put on anything. Even if it was introduced to Europe in the 1500's, it was considered toxic in Italy. A "real pizza", from it's beginnings (700) until the 1800's never had tomato. 😅
Falso! Basta che ti vai a vedere i pastori del presepe settecentesco della Reggia di Caserta o che leggi Dumas che già parla della pizza col pomodoro. Comunque l'ananas, quella di sicuro non la mettevano su nulla!
I think you are confusing tomatoes with aubergines. Aubergines were considered toxic by the "Conquistadores", and the Italian name "melanzana" derives from the Spanish "Mala Manzana" (Bad Apple)
@@lucapolidori8817 no I am not. As a food industry professional, this is commonly known in the field as a historical fact. It was used as a decorative item but perceived (1534 Cortez) by the European nations as toxic. The information is available anywhere. The acidity of the berry reacted with the metal, causing concentrated amounts of lead to seep into food. The use of such fruit on pizza was created in the hands of Raffaele Esposito, in honour of Queen consort of Italy, Margherita.

Pizza may have been invented in Italy, but got popular worldwide because of America. Cold coffee was also invented in America, Americans also always break their spaghetti noodles, not sure about the wine, and who the hell puts mayo on salad?
iced coffee is not really a thing in italy but some people like it. not done that way tho. usually it's shaked with ice and served cold without ice inside, cause melting would make it too watery. much more likely to see iced tea
Pizza got popular worldwide because it's good. Americans should understand the world doesn't care about them that much. White wine is mostly a girls drink, though many men drink it, it is usually a cardboard box table cheap white.
I am a beer guy, but red wine for asados always.
The ice cubes don't even have a chance to melt before we finish the glass.
dude, italian here to give you a tip...if you want to drink wine on summer use white vine ! It's supposed to go in the fridge :)
There are plenty of great salads with mayo available in Eastern Europe.
American pizza is disgusting
American pizza is not pizza.
Pizza got popular worldwide because it's good. Americans should understand the world doesn't care about them that much. They also break the spaghetti because "they don't fit in the pot", not understanding the unbroken spaghetti will soften up in hot water, and will fit in just fine. I really don't understand why someone would use "Americans do that too" as a justification.
eating a salad is supposed to be healthy. With Mayo is not anymore so yes, makes no sense eating a salad with Mayo
mayo is healthy !
